Just a couple months after debuting in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, the Warlock is coming to Diablo Immortal on June 17. At least based on the announcement trailer for the new class, the Warlock looks extremely similar to its Diablo 4 counterpart, what with all the demons and the fiery chains that are surely going to cover the entire screen. It also looks like the story justification for the Warlock class is largely carrying over to the mobile game too. The narrator or the actual Warlock – it's not super clear – talks about how people "fear its dark power. I choose to wield it. I am the unstoppable, roaring answer to the darkness." The 'it' in this context is the power of Hell itself, which the Warlock uses to command demons to fight, well, other demons. At least in Diablo 4, this power comes with a cost, so hopefully there is some kind of story built into Diablo Immortal to explore the themes of the loss of control and corruption. Or at least, hopefully Blizzard finds a way to get the Apocalypse build into the mobile game. Whether you love Diablo Immortal or you hate it, you won't have to wait long to figure out what kind of chaos you'll be able to get into with the new class. The Warlock is coming to Diablo Immortal on June 17. Jackie Thomas is the Hardware and Buying Guides Editor at IGN and the PC components queen. You can follow her @Jackiecobra View the full article
Lara Croft is going back to the beginning in the upcoming Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a new remake of the original Tomb Raider game from 1996. Taking on the beloved role of Lara Croft for this incarnation is Alix Wilton Regan (Assassin's Creed Origins, Dota: Dragon's Blood), who spoke about the game and her famous character at IGN Live today. During the panel, IGN debuted a snippet of the new "Meet Lara Croft" featurette in which Regan and the game's creators speak about the long legacy of the character and bringing to life her latest incarnation, and which you can watch the full video of above. So what's it like stepping into the shoes (or boots) of a character as well known as Lara Croft? Said Regan, "It’s amazing. Lara is a British cultural icon, she’s a global icon. She is loved and I love her as much as everyone else, so I’m ecstatic." She described Lara as "so completely confident in herself, in her abilities, her brain, her body, her being." Regan doesn't just have Legacy of Atlantis on the way, she's also playing Lara in the upcoming Tomb Raider: Catalyst, where she will embody an older Lara, on the heels of playing the younger version in Legacy of Atlantis. Regarding her approach to keeping the different ages distinct, Regan explained, "You break them down as much as possible. You ask your collaborators to help you keep track of it that because it is tricky. We’re trying to do something different with the voice in each game." Regan revealed that for Legacy of Atlantis, "We’ve lifted some of the most iconic lines from the first Tomb Raider," saying she loved "Just getting to play those lines with kind of that 90s sass being brought up to 2026." She also teased "A brilliant cast attached that I’m really sorry I can’t disclose yet!" Regan admitted the mocap work she'd done for Tomb Raider could be physically taxing, noting "We’ve done huge three week shoots at a time" and laughing "You get a bit hot and sweaty and extremely intimate with your costars doing ten hours in a mocap suit." Regan said for extra inspiration to keep going during those long days, "I spend a lot of time looking at Lara's little avatar on screen... She is so smoking hot! I think we can all agree on that." Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released February 12, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Be sure to keep up with everything going on at IGN Live 2026. As much as I love a brutal, competitive board game full of political backstabbing and ruthless competition, there's a special place in my heart for titles that prize cooperation, exploration, and harmony. Earthborne Trailblazer promises just that in a promising Kickstarter, which has already raised nearly £314,000 ($418,000) with still over a week to go. The Esports World Cup in Paris is quickly approaching, giving players from around the world the opportunity to compete for glory and millions of dollars. Esports Manager 2026 is designed to make you feel part of that action, managing a team of esports players as you chase greatness. And we just learned at the Indie Loop event at IGN Live that the game will launch on the same day the Esports World Cup begins: July 6. Esports Manager 2026, from developer Neurona Games and publisher indie.io, is exactly what it sounds like: a management sim where you control the day-to-day operation of a whole esports organization. That includes scouting and signing players; recruiting a full staff of coaches, managers, analysts, and media specialists; maintaining the relationships of everyone in your organization; managing income, sponsorships, and expenses; and lots more. You’ll face all the pressures and decisions of a real organization leader. You can take control of a real-life organization or create your own from scratch, and you can scout and sign real-life players who each have their own skills and ratings across several categories. Once you’ve formed your team, you can train them to improve their skills, but you’ll also need to make sure not to overwork them or make them unhappy. You then take them into tournaments, set their team strategy, and watch them perform in semi-3D match simulations. As part of Steam Sports Fest in December, Esports Manager 2026 released a free demo. In the months since and in response to player feedback, it’s undergone a significant overhaul, with major systems reworked and most features expanded. And match simulations are one of the areas that have seen the biggest improvement. The tactic creator has been reworked with more options, and they have more of an effect on the outcome of matches, giving you additional control as your team’s strategist. And simulations now include match commentary and caster-style presentations, making it feel more like you’re watching a real broadcast. Management conversations and relationship building have also gotten major upgrades. There are now hundreds of additional player interactions, emails, and other conversations, as well as 50 new chat scenarios. So there are now a lot more situations for you to navigate to keep morale high within the team. All of the other systems and mechanics have gotten deeper, too. Contract negotiations and player transfers have been reworked, there are new contract renewal systems, and a new legal system tied to contracts and management decisions. The UI and navigation systems have improved, there are new training and home screens, and visuals in general have been polished. In short, Esports Manager 2026 still delivers the same core gameplay experience that sees you try to build and maintain an organization that can conquer the industry, it’s just now much more detailed and gives you more control over each facet of your team. And the game doesn’t really have an “end,” per se. There isn’t a story mode for you to defeat, and there’s no time limit on your franchise. Your team is always shifting and changing as time goes on, so there’s always new things to manage. Esports Manager 2026 lands exclusively on PC on July 6. If you want more info on the game or want to try the demo, head over to its Steam page. For the latest news and updates, you can follow it on Discord. View the full article

Sprites are immensely valuable in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, and there’s a wonderful chance to recover the lost ones. You can lose a Sprite if you die while having them equipped on you. The same also applies for all Sprites that are in your inventory in the dying moments. Let’s figure out how you can recover them along with the required resources. How to get back your lost Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3https://embeds.beehiiv.com/a8d62108-86ed-4039-bf49-44877ba62c15 You can recover any Sprite that’s already added to your collection. When you lose a Sprite due to death, it will remain in your collection. This is why it’s so important to extract a new Sprite when you find one. A successful extraction will add it to your collection. Screenshot by Destructoid If you lose a new Sprite before you can extract it, there’s no way of recovery. The only alternative in that case is to find it once again and complete its extraction. If you lose a Sprite and it’s there in your collection, you can equip it before a fresh round. Screenshot by Destructoid All you need is to ensure that you have sufficient Sprite Dust. You get this resource every time you complete a successful extraction. The amount of Sprite Dust you receive depends on which Sprite is being extracted. Similarly, the cost of respawning a Sprite also varies based on its rarity. Here’s how much every Sprite costs to respawn in Chapter 7 Season 3. Rare: 100 Sprite Dust Epic: 3000 Sprite Dust Special Rare: 4000 Sprite Dust Legendary: 5000 Sprite Dust Special Epic: 6000 Sprite Dust Special Legendary: 10,000 Sprite Dust Special Mythic: 12,000 Sprite Dust When you repurchase a Sprite, it will retain its previous Mastery Rank. However, it will again begin from Level 1. However, leveling any Sprite up is easy as long as you’re actively getting involved in kills and opening chests on the maps. If your collection is still limited, you can always trade with other players for variants. That will help you to get more options available as long as you get the Sprite Dust. /wp-content/themes/destructoid2025/assets/img/icons/likes-off.png0 The post How to recover lost Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 appeared first on Destructoid. The Punk Sprite is a variant unlike any other in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, and finding it can be a true test. Moreover, its ability can appear to be confusing if you go with the official explainer. Thankfully, this guide will clarify what the Punk Sprite does and how to obtain it if you’re interested. Table of contentsHow to get the Punk Sprite in FortniteHow does the Punk Sprite work in Fortnitehttps://embeds.beehiiv.com/a8d62108-86ed-4039-bf49-44877ba62c15 How to get the Punk Sprite in Fortnite The Punk Sprite is an extremely rare variant that only spawns from Sprite Chests. The variant has a 3.5% chance to drop when you open the chest. This makes things quite difficult since Sprite Chests (the ones with crystals sticking out of them) are quite rare themselves. The alternative is to find a player who already has a Punk Sprite in their collection. If you manage to persuade them, the two of you can then trade. That’s another way to add the Punk Sprite to your collection. Yay! I found the legendary Punk Sprite in @Fortnite it's one of the super rare ones. Of course it's already dead lol But still yay! [Hidden Content] — JaXBOXchick aka Jax (@JaXboxChick) June 7, 2026 How does the Punk Sprite work in Fortnite Here’s the official explainer of its ability: “Possibly nothing… or infinitely something.” Its in-game effects are completely random. Occasionally, it could reward you with keycards, shields, or health recharges. If you’re lucky, you could also end up with infinite ammo. I have yet to ascertain if any in-game effect is more likely to happen. That said, the final result with the Sprite is always going to be random. If you love RNG, there’s no better Sprite to use. However, I usually don’t like relying on my luck to decide the chances of winning the round. There are several alternatives to try out if you want a safer Sprite. If you’re looking out for something unique, we have the Burnt Peanut Sprite available in chests. /wp-content/themes/destructoid2025/assets/img/icons/likes-off.png0 The post How to find the Punk Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 appeared first on Destructoid. At IGN Live today, THQ Nordic's Reinhard Pollice was on hand to discuss the newly released remake of Gothic. The original Gothic, or Gothic Classic as Pollice said they now referred to it, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Even before the remake, the original had been remastered, and Pollice said he felt the reason for Gothic's longevity was "even by today's standards, it's still a very unique game with a lot of game mechanics that really hold up." He also said he felt "It's not the biggest open world, but I think it's the most immersive and the most alive." As for what it's like having the remake now available to the public, Pollice said "It's super cool. We're obviously watching the reception. It's a big RPG, right? So we're only seeing the first third of the game content and we're seeing every house gamers discovering something cool or something we've hidden new ways of solving quest, cool ways of solving quests, new ways of interacting with the AI..." In the original version, the NPCs had a then-impressive multistage daily routine they'd go through, including, Pollice humorously pointed out, "even going for a piss." For the remake this has greatly been expanded upon, with the NPCs now more frequently reacting to changes around them. Plus, they expanded a routine to the creatures as well, with Pollice staying this all adds to "what kept [Gothic] alive, so immersive, so simulated, and so deep with what you can experience there." Pollice noted they never wanted the game to feel too bluntly direct or handholding and it was always about maintaining that immersion, remarking, "Everything that is happening in the game world, there's a natural way to discover it and find clues. This is not a game with quest marker after quest marker. You really have to listen to the people, get the clues and then you kind of piece it together, and also develop a natural understanding of the places and the world itself." That approach can make Gothic quite difficult for some, and Pollice said there was a desire to make the remake more widely accessible. That being said, he always felt, "If the game needs tutorials, we've done something wrong. It should be explained in the dialogue." They ended up landing on a compromise that kept things more in-universe than a straightforward tutorial, with Pollice explaining "To give new players a little bit of a possibility to learn the mechanics, we added a tutorial book, but this is done in an immersive way where a character gives you a book." In general, Pollice believes there are plenty of players who like difficult games, stating, "They like a good challenge if it's not unfair." For the remake "We added a much easier difficulty level, which is still challenging." As he explained, "You can customize your difficulty level so you have things like combat and exploration and they all have an effect on how you experience the game in the end." The Gothic Remake is now available. Be sure to keep up with everything going on at IGN Live 2026.
