  8. My Winter Car has a host of different player attributes that you'll need to manage to survive the cold and build your project car. The attributes are visible on top of your screen, and they have their own meters. The idea is to keep the meters in check, and there are different ways to do so. This guide will help you understand them better so that you don't run into unexpected problems when out in the cold. All player attributes in My Winter Car explained The table below has information about every player's stat/attribute that will be visible on top of your screen. I have also added steps about how you can manage them efficiently. AttributeHow it WorksHow to ManageProblemSince you're an alcoholic as per the lore, you'll need alcohol in a routine fashion. Drink beer or other alcoholic beverages. Drink water to keep yourself in control. Repeat for full recovery. HungerCauses starvationYou will need to eat food. You can get them from Teimo's Shop or Pub Nappo. Drinking alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages also reduces hunger slightly (but not very effective). You should eat when the Hunger meter is high, or after you have done physical work.StressIt can be fatal if left uncheckedYou can drink coffee and grilled meats to reduce stress. Sauna sessions also work, as do chopping firewood. You can also swear by pressing the N key to reduce stress. Avoiding hangovers or fines will also help you manage your stress better. ******Bladder fullness that will cause stressFind a toilet and press P to ********. Plan in advance if you're working out for long hours. FatigueCauses blackoutsThe best way to manage fatigue is by sleeping on sofas or beds. Always rest in the indoor areas, as it can be pretty cold outside. Driving below 120 kmph will also slightly lower your Fatigue. TemperatureCauses HypothermiaAlways wear dry and warm clothes along with winter gear. Stay close to heaters and fireplaces when your body temperature is low. Drinking hot beverages also helps, and you should always turn on the in-built car heater while driving. SweatHappens if you're overheated. Don't wear clothes that are too heavy inside rooms. You can also remove extra layers if you're at a place where temperatures are normal. Ultimately, some of the attribute meters can go out of control, especially if you're doing jobs like that of a taxi driver. The table above has every bit of information you'll require to bring these meters back to normal levels. 9. There’s no doubt that 2025 has been a wild year, as there have been many great moments. Some were laughable, while a few were jaw-dropping. Regardless of all, this has been one of the best years in gaming altogether. Let’s take a look back at some of the best highlights from 2025. 20. Schedule 1 Beating AC: Shadows Player Count Image Credit: TVGS The first-ever showcase of Indie games dominating the gaming industry in 2025 came with Schedule 1. While AC: Shadows was hovering at around ten thousand players, the indie release was soaring into the hundreds of thousands, proving just how strongly smaller projects resonated with audiences that year. Both had a similar release *******, and TGVS dominated the “AAAA blockbuster” like nobody’s business. 19. Valve Revealing a New Hardware Line-Up Image Credit: Valve On a random Wednesday, Valve decided to reveal new hardware it had been working on, namely the Steam Machine, controller, and the Frame VR. No one saw it coming, and it shook the gaming hardware market for good. 18. Megabonk Dropping Out of TGA Sparking Debate Image Credit: Vedinad As surprising as it gets, Megabonk was the top contender in the Debut Indie Game category at The Game Awards, but the developer, Vedinad, dropped out. The reason is that it’s not their first debut game. The decision was respected, which led fans to believe Vedinad is actually Danidev (famous YouTuber) in disguise. 17. Counter-Strike 2 Knife Market ****** Image Credit: Valve Counter-Strike 2 had one of the wildest years as players saw the knife market ******. A market that was once valued at $6 billion suddenly fell to $2 billion, which shook multiple traders and caused a lot of distress. 16. Reaching the Summit in PEAK Image Credit: Landfall Games PEAK certainly took the show as well in 2025, and nothing beat the feeling of reaching the summit with your friends. The journey was tough but not impossible, thanks to teamwork and all the shenanigans that happened on the way. 15. Revelation of Leon’s Return to Resident Evil Image Credit: Capcom The Game Awards 2025 gave the first look at Leon in Resident Evil: Requiem, and how it’s fitting to have him back in Raccoon City. The character’s return is one of the most celebrated, and nobody saw it coming in 2025. Technically, the game is coming in 2026, but still, the memory is etched. 14. R.E.P.O – Chest Pain Meme [Hidden Content] “I love” is stuck in every R.E.P.O fan, and that one chip showcases how hilarious the in-game voice chat could be. A random guy singing in the most perilous situation is peak comedy, which gets supercharged with violation. 13. What If? – The Alters Image Credit: 11Bit Studios One of the most heart-warming moments in gaming has to go with The Alters, as multiple variants of Jan Dolski jam together. The scene shines out because it showcases how he’s only being saved by himself. 12. Donkey Kong Returns in 3D After 15 Years Image Credit: Nintendo Donkey Kong Bananza was memorable for fans because the franchise was returning in 3D after 15 years. That’s right, Donkey Kong Country Returns is that old now, and everyone is happy to see our beloved gorilla return. 11. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Shadow Drop Image Credit: Bethesda With no announcement or promotion, Bethesda did the unthinkable with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. The re-release of the game was not seen for, and it managed to shake the gaming world in 2025. 10. Dispatch Housewarming Party Image Credit: AdHoc Studio Image Credit: AdHoc Studio Image Credit: AdHoc Studio Image Credit: AdHoc Studio Image Credit: AdHoc Studio Dispatch got a lot of praise for its narrative, and especially the bar fight scene that slaps. Yet, the best moment remains to be the housewarming party, because Robert’s life got a new light with all the misfits at the SDN. 9. Gen.G Taking the Crown at EWC 2025 Image Credit: Esports World Cup The Esports World Cup was one of the most memorable as Gen.G secured the winner spot after a tough head-on battle against AG.AL. The thrill of that match will be remembered by League of Legends fans. 8. RAM Prices Reaching the Sky Image Credit: ASUS One of the biggest plot twists of this year was the increased demand for DRAM chips for various technologies. The worst part is, it’s not ending anytime soon, and the prices are expected to touch the ceiling for quite a while. 7. Hollow Knight: Silksong Surprise Release Image Credit: Team Cherry Hollow Knight: Silksong was anticipated for a long time, and Team Cherry didn’t bother to open their mouths in any way. Then, out of nowhere in September 2025, the studio finally broke its silence, revealing that the game would be released in just a matter of weeks. 6. Team Vitality Dominating Budapest Major 2025 Image Credit: Valve/ESL Team Vitality got the Best Esports Team award at The Game Awards 2025, and it’s all for good reasons. Take a look at the Budapest Major 2025, because they dominated the playoffs and the finals. 5. Battlefield 6 Flexing Its Muscle Image Credit: Electronic Arts Call of Duty has been dominating the market with arcade shooters until Battlefield 6 arrived with a promise of returning to its roots. Naturally, it got a lot of positive response, because Activision hasn’t been paying attention to what fans want. 4. 11. The phone is perhaps the single most important item to use in My Winter Car, and it will help you expand your snowy adventures. When you wake up at your apartment for the first time, you're likely to miss spotting the telephone at all. This guide will lay down all the steps required for you first to find the telephone and then use it properly to get different jobs. How to find the phone in My Winter Car The phone is relatively easy to find, but it's also possible for you to miss it. You can find it in the starting apartment, next to the front door. The phone is placed on the chair, and you can use it from there. When you find it for the first time, the phone won't have much use. Screenshot by Destructoid How to use the phone in My Winter Car First, interact with the phone to activate it if you want to make a call. You'll need to find numbers that are located at the different POIs. For example, the job recruitment board at the Gas Station will provide you with numbers.Once you have found a number, use the numpad keys to enter it.Don't use the numbers on the top row. While inputting the numbers, make sure there are no pauses. If you have inserted a number correctly, it will connect automatically. An NPC will pick up, which will be followed by a conversation. You can also disconnect the call, but it's advisable to wait for the NPC to do so. Ending a call prematurely might prevent an objective from working normally. If you don't use the numpad, the phone won't work. You'll hear a beeping sound coming from the phone. Put down the phone, and interact with it again to enter the number. Once done, the call will automatically connect with the applicable NPC. You'll need the phone for doing almost anything inside the game, like finding your project car or getting jobs like driving a taxi. 12. The Taxi job is one of several activities that you can complete in My Winter Car, and doing so will allow you to unlock an extra vehicle. The first task is to reach the point where you activate the job. This has to be done before you can obviously get the taxi in hand. This guide will provide all the crucial information you'll need to complete the job. Table of contentsHow to start the Taxi job in My Winter CarHow to complete the Taxi job in My Winter CarHow to start the Taxi job in My Winter Car The first task is to find the Taxi job poster. To do so, you'll need to reach the gas station. There's a restaurant area in the gas station where you'll find a job board. The Taxi job will be mentioned over there, along with a phone number on the poster. Image via Amistech Games Jot down the phone number.Reach a telephone.Finish the call, and wait until the day rolls over.Go to the PSK Parking lot at exactly 12pm the next day, and you'll find a taxi driver. The NPC will explain what needs to be done, giving you access to the taxi. If this doesn't happen, you'll need to restart the entire process. Once you're inside the taxi, flip down the sun visor. You'll find the taxi map over there, which will make it easier for you to navigate. How to complete the Taxi job in My Winter Car The Taxi job effectively requires you to pick up and drop off customers at specific locations. To do so, you must configure the meter first. Put the selector knob to the minus symbol and then press the red button to turn on the meter. Once you find the first customer, turn off the red button. The customer will give you a destination (which will be viewable on the taxi map). Drive to the destination. The longer you drive, the more money you'll earn. Image via Amistech Games After reaching the destination, stop the taxi meter. You'll find a displayed amount, which you must transfer from a payment terminal. Print the receipt, and make sure that the amount was correct. If you make an error at this step, you'll lose money from your own account. There are a few additional modes on the taxi meter that you must understand. Mode 1 is used on weekdays between 6am and 6pm.Mode 2 is used on weekdays between 6pm and 6am, and on all weekends.Mode A displays the total driven distanceMode B displays the total income (resets after a payment). For maximum earnings, you'll want to use the correct mode. There are eight customers to pick up and drive around, and you can make plenty of money in the process. If you're looking for a simpler job, you can deliver advertorials all over the town. The post How to complete the Taxi job in My Winter Car (Unlock Taxi guide) appeared first on Destructoid. 14. It's no secret that Dragon Quest is one of the most important RPG series of all time. Inspired by Wizardry, the Enix-published Famicom game has inspired thousands of famous RPGs. The genre simply wouldn't exist the way it does today without Dragon Quest. Last year, Square Enix finally released Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, the long-awaited remake of Erdrick's adventure. Today at Amazon, you can save over 60% off an Xbox Series X copy, which is perfect for collectors and new adventurers alike. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake for $22.23 As its name implies, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake utilizes Square Enix's HD-2D art style, which looks absolutely incredible. The blend of modern art design with crisp 2D sprites is endlessly charming, and the lighting systems in place really do wonders. Despite being the third game in the series, it is recommended that players begin with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake before jumping ship to I & II. This is due to Dragon Quest III being a prequel. In addition to the new visuals, DQIII HD-2D Remake also packs in numerous new features. For one, there is brand-new story content involving Ortega, the father of the protagonist. You also gain access to the new Monster Wrangler vocation, which is a ton of fun to try out. Beyond this, much of the game has voice acting, and an orchestrated soundtrack helps bring the world to life. If you're a fan of both turn-based combat and the RPG genre, you owe it to yourself to experience one of the medium's defining entries. At $22, this is a steal for a game that easily packs in 60+ hours of content. Noah Hunter is a freelance writer and reviewer with a passion for games and technology. 18. Freezing in your vehicle in My Winter Car is not a fun thing to happen, and you can use the built-in heater to prevent the situation. The heater is present in every functional vehicle inside the game. In fact, you'll find it in the very first car that waits outside your hotel room. However, the controls of the heating system are slightly confusing, and it's easy to get the basics wrong. This guide will help you figure out what you need to do to get the heating systems up and running so that you can drive your car without having to worry about the cold. Table of contentsHow does the Heater work in My Winter CarHow to use the room heater in My Winter CarHow does the Heater work in My Winter Car You can find the heater in the cabin when you enter the car. The heater has two levers and buttons, so that part is easy to understand. The top lever controls the direction of air. If you want to blow the air into the cabin or windows, move the lever all the way to the right. The bottom lever controls temperature. Move it all the way to the left to get maximum heat. There's a blower button under the window heater. Turn it on for the heater to work. You can turn it to low/high. If you don't change turn it on, there won't be airflow from the heater. The rear window button is separate from the main heater. The rear window heater only heats the rear window. To keep the cabin temperature comfortable, you'll need to rely on the main heater. Screenshot by Destructoid Additionally, you will need to ensure that the engine is warm. To do so, turn on the engine and wait for a few in-game minutes. The doors of your car must be closed, and the blower has to run for the heating to work. How to use the room heater in My Winter Car Since the temperature outside is low, you'll also have to use the room heater. Room heaters work similarly, but they're not placed in your car. Whether you're using a room heater or the one inside your car, you'll need to wait a bit. Just like in real life, the heaters take a few moments to generate heat. You'll need to use a room heater if the temperature is too low for you to sleep. Having ample fatigue is not key to falling asleep. You'll also need to have a suitable temperature in your room to sleep. The post How to use the Heater in My Winter Car appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

But since this is Nintendo we’re talking about, this SNES game made a much ******* impact on the wider Mario universe, with the features Yoshi’s Island introduced still influencing Nintendo games of today. I can remember being thoroughly delighted with Yoshi's moveset expanding him from being a simple steed to a flutter-jumping, ground-pounding, and egg-chucking hero in his own right. 21. The 'Problem' stat can be quite a problem in My Winter Car if you're unsure about what it means. If left unchecked, the stat will gradually increase and result in further issues while driving a car. The Problem stat, like all other stats, will increase when you can't bring it down. To do so, you'll need to understand what the stat modifier means. This guide will provide you with all the necessary information required for you to keep this particular stat in check. Table of contentsHow does the Problem stat work in My Winter CarHow to bring down the Problem stat in My Winter CarHow does the Problem stat work in My Winter Car The Problem stat is related to alcoholism, or drinking, in My Winter Car. However, it doesn't work as you might think. The Problem stat will rise when you haven't been drunk in a while in the game. It's a curious way as to how the stat works in the first place. When you don't consume alcohol, the Problem stat meter will constantly rise over time. The only way to bring it down (more on that in the following section) is to get drunk. While that's a relatively easy task to complete, you'll need to be careful. Image via Amistech Games How to bring down the Problem stat in My Winter Car To reduce the Problem meter, you'll need to drink alcohol. The easiest way of doing so is with the help of Beer. You can purchase Beer from the in-game store by exchanging money. I will also advise keeping a few of them with you lest the 'Problem' meter creates a problem. However, you will want to refrain from drinking too much alcohol, as that will add several negatives. Drinking your car while being drunk isn't a funny task (believe me, I have already done that), so you'll want to be miserly with the Beer. Only drink it when the Problem stat meter has risen to a certain level. The post My Winter Car Problem stat explained appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
