  1. Cute and co-operative MMO Palia's new expansion, the Elderwood, introduced lots of new mechanics alongside a huge new zone to explore. With lots of quests, critters, and new gatherables, there are plenty of things to keep you busy while you take in the sights. One such new feature is relics, powerful new equipment that will aid you in gathering the Elderwood's new currency of Infected Essence. View the full article

  3. The 0.2.1 update for Path of Exile 2 has been delayed and is now expected to arrive sometime during June 2025. The patch, which promises to improve endgame content, was previously planned to reach Path of Exile 2 in late May 2025. View the full article

  5. What is the Elden Ring movie release date? To many, Elden Ring is merely a game about fighting... things. Monsters, people, strange, non-descript globules of matter; fighting does take center stage in FromSoft's epic, but there is so much more to Elden Ring than a good scrap. With a movie officially in the works, we've gathered everything there is to know about the release date, the cast, and what they might tackle with the story. The Elden Ring movie isn't the first video game to get a shot at the big screen, and it most certainly won't be the last. With such a deep well to pull from, though, we can see this being up there as one of the best. It's difficult to imagine just how the director will approach the soulslike game, though, with Elden Ring being an immersive, environmental tale, rather than a standard A-to-B affair. 6. MindsEye isn't a real game, right? I mean, I'm sure it is a real game, it's meant to be coming out June 10th, that's only two weeks away now, and GTA 3 to 5 producer Leslie Benzies is helming it. It just doesn't feel like a real game. Take for instance the fact that the game's latest trailer, which was released today, is its first proper gameplay trailer. There's been a few teasers over the past few weeks, but absolutely zero extended looks at the shooter. That's weird for a game due out in two weeks! Read more View the full article

Fortnite Festival is a permanent Guitar Hero-like game mode in Fortnite in which players must select which part of a band they'd like to challenge: Vocals, Bass, Drums, or Guitar. They then must hit the notes in sync with the music that their character is playing. The better they play, the more stars they will earn at the end of the performance. View the full article
  9. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold 3.3 million copies in 33 days since the game's launch, making for an interesting coincidence. In the short time after its arrival on April 24, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has proven to be a widely acclaimed commercial success for France-based indie studio Sandfall Interactive. 10. Even though The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is the newer game, its player count is being outdone by Bethesda's own Skyrim, which was first released all the way back in 2011. The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is a project that was rumored for years before it was finally shadow dropped at the end of April. Many fans seem to be in agreement that Oblivion Remastered was well worth the wait, with a great deal of praise for the game bringing the original to modern graphical and gameplay standards. 11. In worrying news for gamers, yet another burned-out Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 cable has been reported. While the GPU power port itself seems undamaged, a burned-out MSI cable, specifically designed to help ensure a firm and fully seated fit for the power cable, has received the full scorched earth treatment. This is the second MSI RTX 5090 cable to burn out under similar circumstances in just a few months. While the RTX 5090 is certainly one of the best graphics card options out there for performance, the high power draw of these Nvidia GPUs appears to be occasionally causing some fairly dramatic failures that typically leave the card destroyed. 12. Three months since it was released, and I imagine a lot of people still have doubts about Civilization 7. The Ages system remains controversial, some key features from Civ 6 aren't present, and the user interface would benefit from more attention. But with Tempest Rising, Manor Lords, and Stellaris still earning plaudits, Firaxis is seemingly committed to improving its 4X sequel, and as fast as possible. A surprise new Civ 7 update just landed, introducing a new (and extremely challenging) map type, a higher multiplayer cap, and a litany of tweaks and balance changes for various civilizations and leaders. 13. Hollowbody, Crow Country, Signalis, Post Trauma - over the past five years, there have been dozens of games that try to capture the style of classic survival horror, either paying homage to or standing on the shoulders of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It's fixed cameras. It's low-poly visuals. It's a '90s or '90s-inspired setting where clunky, tank-control combat meets inventive, sometimes surreal puzzles. But there's one element of classic RE that seems to have been forgotten. Available to try right this second, Phase Zero convincingly captures this core characteristic of Capcom's zombie icon. 14. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has just hit the perfect sales milestone at the exact right time. Is it thanks to the gaming gods, or just some sort of incredible coincidence? I can't answer that question, but I can sing E33's praises and echo the sentiment that the colossal success of this turn-based RPG is very well deserved. So if you've been sitting on the fence, or can't quite cope with how many of your friends are telling you to just play it, this is the best reason to right now. Read the rest of the story... 15. As someone who's never played a Dragon Quest game, seeing Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake last year confused me simply because I didn't know it was a prequel. I generally prefer to play things in release order, but I understand why Square Enix did it that way around, and why they subsequently announced a double remake of the first two games. The third one launched just last November, leaving 1 and 2 with a vague 2025 release window. Well, until today, when Square Enix shared that the pair of remakes will be launching October 30th.
