The fun movie news has been flowing out of CinemaCon all week, and one of the latest drops this morning is of particular interest to gamers. The upcoming Street Fighter movie, due to release later this year on Oct. 16, got a new trailer this morning, and it's truly one to behold... for a variety of reasons. I'll leave you to watch it first and form your own opinion here: [Hidden Content] So, yeah. It looks quite silly, but I don't think that's a bad thing by any stretch. If it took itself too seriously, it would probably come off as cringy, but if you embrace the cringe itself with lame dialogue and mediocre acting, then we may have a fun adaptation. "Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury," the official synopsis says. "But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!" The trailer is full of many callbacks to the games, like Ken beating up a car, along with Akuma and Ryu both powering up their fireballs. And how about Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson with that Balrog hairstyle? Yikes. But one of my favorite moments is when Cammy makes mention of Chun-Li's infamous thick thighs. "I don't see what the big deal is," she remarks, likely poking fun at fans who lost their ***** when Liang's portrayal and costume revealed she was wearing pants. The big reveal at the end is a couple more stunning abominations: Jason Momoa's Blanka, which looks to be heavily CGI as opposed to more practical. And then, of course, we have WWE star Cody Rhodes' acting skills along with his god-awful (although accurate) Guile haircut. It's so bad it's great. I'll likely see this movie in theaters just for the fun of it when it launches later this year, and I'll have fun, because I'm expecting it to be a silly, poorly acted mess. Anything else would be a pleasant surprise, but I do like a hokey shitshow almost as much as a good film. I would hope, at least, that this version will be better than several previous disastrous attempts at bringing this iconic fighting game franchise to the silver screen. We shall see. There are many different key tasks you need to work through to progress island life in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. Gathering lots of Warm Fuzzies is one of the most essential, but it can also be pretty tricky to make happen. If you want to help make your Miis more unique and build up the island, obtaining lots of Warm Fuzzies is a must. It's a pretty important currency you'll want to master collecting early on, so here's how to get Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. Table of contentsHow to collect Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the DreamWhat are Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream? How to use Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the DreamHow to collect Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream Screenshot by Destructoid Warm Fuzzies are earned by taking great care of the Miis who call your island home. This currency is granted from time to time as your Miis' happiness increases, so you need to do your best to keep them satisfied if you want to earn it. There are four specific activities you can focus on to earn lots of this essential currency. Solve Ponderings. When you spot a yellow thought bubble with a dark ****** scribble in it floating over a Mii's head, interact with it to see what they're thinking and what they need. Help them solve their problem to earn Warm Fuzzies for your efforts. Rub your Miis' heads. Give your Miis a nice head rub from time to time, as this action always grants a nice boost to their happiness. You can do so by moving the cursor around their head or drawing a circle on their head using the touch screen. When you see sparkles around their head, you'll know you're doing it. Level up your Miis. Care for your Miis by attending to their needs, keeping them fed, helping them develop friendships, and otherwise doing everything you can to help them thrive. Taking care of them will eventually lead to them leveling up, which then grants you a considerable amount of Warm Fuzzies. Increase your Miis' happiness. Solve Miis problems, give them clothes they like, feed them, and do anything you can to help them become happier. This last goal ties in with the others listed before it, as you'll naturally help your Miis' happiness increase by tending to them. What are Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream? Warm Fuzzies are one of the types of currency you can collect in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. This currency can only be acquired by taking care of Miis around your island, so it's a bit of a tough one to stock up on, as when and if it's granted can be rather unpredictable. How to use Warm Fuzzies in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream Screenshot by Destructoid You can spend your earned Warm Fuzzies at the Wishing Fountain, which is one of the many shops and facilities you can unlock. From the Wishing Fountain, you can acquire new items for Miis, like Little Quirks, Travel Tickets, new buildings, island customizations, and Goods. Items you unlock from the fountain are a great way to help personalize your villagers, along with carefully choosing the right personality for them. Pragmata is Capcom's newest IP, the one that is finally breaking the chain of incessant sequels, spin-offs, and remake releases that the company had been indulging in for nearly the past decade. As a level-based game, Pragmata runs exceptionally well on most hardware, even when all the bells and whistles are turned on, seeing as there isn't all too much to render at any given time. It plays into all the optimization strengths of the RE Engine, which thrives precisely in closed-off, linear, and limited environments. However, we can always squeeze out extra FPS, so here are our recommended settings. Recommended Pragmata settings for optimal performance Image via Capcom Pragmata runs on the same engine as Resident Evil: Requiem. If you had luck in that game using those exact settings, replicating them in Pragmata could be useful for you. If, on the other hand, you didn't try that game or are seeing significantly different results in Pragmata, here are the settings I would go with. Frame Rate: Variable Ray Tracing: Off (unless on a 4070 or higher GPU) Image Quality: 100 percentDynamic Resolution: OffHair Quality: Medium (or High if you have a more capable CPU)Texture Quality: High - 2GB (for GPUs with 8GB or less VRAM) Texture Filtering: High Mesh Quality: Medium/HighShadow Quality: Medium Shadow Cache: OnContact Shadows: Any, Off could net more fps for CPU-limited machinesEffects Quality: Medium/HighVideo Quality: Full HDAnti-Aliasing: FXAA+TAAAmbient Occlusion: SSAO, turning it Off could give a solid performance boost to less capable machinesVolumetric Lighting: LowBloom: Off Subsurface Scattering: Off on CPU-limited machines, On otherwise Motion Blur, Lens Flare, Lens Distortion, and Depth of Field are all optional and based on preference - I keep them all off. These settings should yield the best quality-to-performance ratio, but some options could significantly improve performance and, in turn, degrade image quality, so you should play around with them to see what works best for your particular machine. Subsurface Scattering really makes faces, such as Diana's, pop out, while Ray Tracing just generally makes every surface look better. Path Tracing is reserved only for 4090/5090 users who aren't afraid to use DLSS on a $2,000 GPU, while Frame Generation can also give you some extra frames at the cost of input lag without sacrificing image quality. Of course, using DLSS on Quality can help maintain some of the settings at higher values, but I personally prefer raw quality and use upscales only when absolutely necessary (never). The next World of Warcraft Midnight update is bringing big balance changes to healers, as Blizzard attempts to cut down some of the disparity between supports in the current iteration of the MMORPG. The gap is currently proving too significant, meaning that some classes are being left in the dust, particularly in high-end dungeon and Mythic raid content. To help correct this, big winners like Discipline Priest, Preservation Evoker, and Mistweaver Monk face nerfs, while Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid, and Resto Shaman get some pretty potent buffs to help bring them more in line. There are different crafting stations in Windrose, and you'll have to upgrade them on your adventure gradually. When you're starting, all your stations will be at a basic level. However, crafting/upgrades in the mid and late-game will require you to have higher-level crafting stations. With each crafting station requiring specific items to upgrade it, let's find out what you need. How to upgrade the crafting station in Windrose Every crafting station in Windrose has a different purpose. Some of them are required to produce and upgrade weapons, while others will help you to sustain yourself (and your allies). Every crafting station requires a specific set of items to upgrade it. The table below mentions every material you'll need to complete the upgrades. You'll unlock their recipes gradually by playing the game (some of the recipes are obtained as part of the quests). The add-ons should ideally be present in the same Bonfire where the crafting station is located. Image via Kraken Express If you're just starting, you don't need to focus too much on upgrading your crafting stations. Chances are that you won't have the recipes for the add-ons either. However, you'll be forced to upgrade your crafting stations after a certain point, as most of the advanced recipes will require you to do so. However, you don't need to rush for the upgrades. As I said, you'll get all the recipes by simply completing the different quests (main and side) and exploring the map.
