Mark your calendars, Pokopia fans. The game's next big limited-time event now has a date, and it stars the OG Grass Starter, Bulbasaur The limited-time event, called Bulbausar's Jump Rope Contest, kicks off on April 19 and will run until April 26 at 4:59am local time. As its name suggests, the event revolves around Bulbasaur's jump rope mini game, and prizes will be awarded based on players' scores. To earn points, you have to jump over Bulbasaur's vine jump rope without getting tripped up. While the event is live, players can compete alongside others in their worlds or on Cloud Islands in a multiplayer version of the event. "In another player’s world, both the host and guests can participate in the jump rope contest, including those playing in spectator mode," the event's official page reads. "The highest number of jumps recorded by any participating player will become that world’s high score, but only the host will receive prizes." Have you brushed up on your jump rope skills? Image via Nintendo Cloud Islands will work a little bit differently. All players on the island can participate, but the highest number of jumps by any participant will be attributed to the Cloud Island's high score. Only the player who logged that number of jumps will earn prizes. Though we don't currently know the full list of prizes available for players, we do know there will be a trophy for players to earn that they can then put on their islands to prove their skill. Though Pokopia's next limited-time event doesn't officially begin until April 19, you can start the festivities early by setting your Nintendo Switch 2's internal clock to the date through its console settings. If you're wanting to practice your jumping skills before it begins, though, you can currently try out Bulbasaur's jump rope mini game by talking to the Grass Starter. Pokopia's last limited-time event that introduced a new item to the game was the April Fools' Day event with the Inflatable Sudowoodo decoration. Before that, Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff made their debut in the life-sim with the "More Spores for Hoppip" event that introduced a host of themed items for the evolution line. According to data-mined info, the next event after Bulbasaur's will introduce Sableye and will require players to collect a new currency from Dream Islands much like Hoppip's Cotton Spores. Gardening is one of the most essential tasks in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which means it's not too surprising that it comes up frequently in Star Path events. One of the many gardening-related duties you'll encounter asks you to plant an enriching orange squash. Like many other Star Path event duties, this one isn't completely straightforward, which means you may have a tough time decoding which crop is being referenced. This quest isn't too difficult to check off once you know the right crop for it, so here's how to plant an enriching orange squash in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Table of contentsWhat is an enriching orange squash in Disney Dreamlight Valley?Plant an enriching orange squash in Disney Dreamlight ValleyWhat is an enriching orange squash in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Screenshot by Destructoid The enriching orange squash mentioned in one of the routine duties for the Elements of Nature Star Path event is Pumpkins. Although you might be thinking of other ingredients that could match this description, especially Ring Squash if you have The Storybook Vale DLC, only Pumpkins count for the purposes of this task. Plant an enriching orange squash in Disney Dreamlight Valley To complete the plant an enriching orange squash task for the Star Path event in DDV, you need to plant a total of 20 Pumpkin Seeds. For the purposes of this quest, you don't actually need to harvest them, as it simply asks you to plant the crop to get it done. If you want to fully see the growth of these crops through, though, here's a full breakdown of how to make it happen. Purchase Pumpkin Seeds from Goofy's stall. He sells them at his shop in the Forgotten Lands biome for 275 Star Coins. You'll want to buy at least 20 seeds for the Star Path quest. Dig holes to plant the seeds. Use your Royal Shovel to set up a gardening space. Ideally, you want to dig these holes in either the Forgotten Lands biome or on the Forgotten Lands Floating Island, as Pumpkins grow a bit faster in their native biome. If you don't have space for them at either spot, though, you can set up this garden anywhere you like. Water the Pumpkins. Once you've got your seeds planted, use your Royal Watering Can on them.Wait. Pumpkins take four full hours to grow in regular biomes, or about three hours and 35 minutes if planted at the Forgotten Lands biome or on the Forgotten Lands Floating Island.Water the Pumpkins again. At some point during the growth process, the Pumpkins will need to be watered again. They stop growing when this happens, so be sure to keep an eye on them. Or, if you're not in a rush, there's a good chance the rain will eventually get them for you, so check back later to see if you're in luck. You also might consider using a horse from Wishblossom Ranch to make watering your large field of Pumpkins easier. Harvest 20 Pumpkins. After the allotted time has passed, visit your garden and get to work harvesting those Pumpkins. Be sure to bring a gardening villager and two gardening Companions with you to get the most Pumpkins possible. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Completing this Elements of Nature Star Path task gets you 25 Tokens to spend in the event. It's a decent prize, but not quite enough to get your hands on most of the event rewards, so there's a good chance you'll need to get more work done to get whatever prize you have your eye on. The Elements of Nature Star Path has 102 duties for you to tackle, plus seven weeks of routine duties, which adds up to 123 quests you can work through to earn Tokens. Some other duties you may want to try tackling next are practicing mine-fulness, crafting a potion you can really “dig,” feeding the Ravens their favorite food, and cooking a fairly fancy dinner.
