Sony's PlayStation Plus games lineup for May 2026 has leaked online, led by Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Reported by the ever-reliable billbil-kun from Dealabs, Sony's next batch of games will also include Ubisoft's The Crew Motorfest and Sports Interactive's Football Manager 26 Console. If you're yet to play the first Horizon title, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is the shinier PlayStation 5 version of Guerrilla Games' adventure, launched back in 2024. This includes its Frozen Wilds DLC plus various technical options and visual upgrades to make it look more like its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. "Horizon Zero Dawn presents us with a beautiful world full of unforgettable challenges," IGN wrote in its review of the game's original release back in 2017, scoring it highly. The Crew Motorfest, meanwhile, is Ubisoft's taken on the open-world driving genre popularized by Forza Horizon. It features a sunny version of various Hawaiian islands and launched to positive reviews back in 2023. "It’s said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," IGN wrote in our The Crew Motorfest review. "To be fair, Motorfest is a robust racer with a confident sense of style, a quality arcade handling model, and a long list of generally well-planned events right out of the box. However, the shift to a smaller map has seen it lose a part of its old identity, boats and aircraft feel like they’ve been sidelined, and some of its event Playlists work a lot better than others." Finally, there's Football Manager 26 Console, a game which needs little introduction. It's Football Manager, on console, and the latest version to boot. As ever, Sony is yet to make this list of games official — though is expected to do so later today. We'll update again when it does so, and slot in details of any further additions. How Farm Items in Paradox Image by Paradox Trello The best way to get plenty of items in Paradox is to spam Boss Raids or Eternal Flame for any type of rerolls. You can start Raids solo or with a party by talking with Jinha (NPC), who is available in every realm. You can also just wait for random world boss spawns, but that is simply too inefficient. As for the Eternal Flame Trial, it's the best way to farm any type of reroll in the game. Well, that does it for our item guide for Paradox. Starfield has seen “lukewarm” sales on PlayStation 5, according to one analyst, who is now questioning Microsoft’s strategy of releasing its games on PS5 after they’ve already come out on Xbox and PC. According to Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics, Starfield had sold 140,000 copies on PS5 as of a week after launch. Bethesda has yet to announce a sales figure for Starfield on PS5, or generally for that matter. The last we heard, in November 2024, Starfield had seen over 15 million players across all platforms. “While these would be decent numbers for many ports, it’s not fantastic for a port of the biggest Bethesda RPG in a decade (although launch-aligned, it's selling faster than other Xbox games that came to Xbox in the past six months, minus CoD),” Elliott said. “Still, Starfield's lukewarm PS5 sales obviously raise questions about the long-term viability of Xbox's delayed multiplatform releases (Starfield came to PS5 2.5 years after Xbox/Steam).” For context, Playground's Forza Horizon 5 has sold an estimated 5.7 million copies on PS5, which, according to Alinea Analytics, has generated $320 million in revenue. Forza Horizon 5 launched on PlayStation in April 2025, three-and-a-half years after Xbox. According to Alinea Analytics’ data, Starfield has sold an additional 55,000 copies on Steam as a result of the launch of the Free Lanes update, which went live alongside the PS5 version. That amounts to $2.3 million of revenue, reportedly pushing Starfield’s total Steam revenue past the $200 million mark (a figure that includes an estimate of 3.7 million copies sold on Steam before the DLC drop). Of course, that doesn’t paint the whole picture of Starfield’s commercial performance. The Bethesda sci-fi RPG also launched on Xbox and, as a Microsoft-owned title, straight into Game Pass. Elliott said the Xbox version of Starfield had sold over 1 million copies despite Game Pass “cannibalizing sales.” Elliott estimates that Starfield has brought in over $300 million in revenue across all platforms since launch, a figure he said probably isn’t good enough for a high-profile Bethesda game. “In the context of a Bethesda budget and a decade-long development cycle, Starfield has likely barely broken even,” he said, adding that the recently released Crimson Desert is on track to overtake Starfield’s lifetime copies sold by the end of 2026. Crimson Desert has sold 5 million copies so far. “Ironically, this wouldn’t be true if Starfield had launched day-and-date on PS5 and had not been on Game Pass on Xbox and PC,” he added. Microsoft tends to launch its games on PS5 at the same time as Xbox and PC these days, but there are exceptions. Playground’s Forza Horizon 6, for example, launches on Xbox and PC in May, but on PS5 at some point later this year. Wesley is Director, News at IGN. Find him on Twitter at @wyp100. Crimson Desert has now sold 5 million copies, marking a significant milestone less than a month after its release date. Pearl Abyss’ single-player open world action adventure launched on March 19 and sold 2 million copies in a day. It then hit 3 million sales in five days, and now, just over a week later, it reached 4 million. Now, it’s added another million on top, with no sign of slowing down. “Thank you to every Greymane who has joined us on this journey, experienced the world of Pywel, and supported the game,” Pearl Abyss said. “Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without your support and we are truly grateful.” Sentiment around Crimson Desert has improved significantly since launch, with Steam user reviews rising from ‘mixed’ to ‘very positive.’ Pearl Abyss has released significant updates remarkably quickly — in fact, I would say the pace of game-changing patches has, for a big, triple-A single-player open world game, been unprecedented. Yet another group of sweeping improvements was made over the weekend, and I wouldn’t put it past Pearl Abyss to release a similarly significant patch out this weekend. What’s clear is that Crimson Desert is a hit. According to the Korean business press, Pearl Abyss spent seven years making Crimson Desert, with development costs coming in at 200 billion won (approx. $133 million). Earlier in April, Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, said in a Substack post that Crimson Desert had made $200 million across platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S). But that was two weeks ago, so we’re looking at even ******* numbers now. The natural next question is whether Pearl Abyss will expand the game with DLC, or even an expansion. Pearl Abyss CEO Heo Jin-young has said there are no solid plans for any DLC, and cast doubt on the possibility of official mod support, but a Nintendo Switch 2 version is apparently being explored. We’ve got plenty more on Crimson Desert, including praise from the director of The Witcher 3, a hidden food consequence system that a modder has restored, and an impressive character creator mod. We recommend you take a look at our guide to Things to Do First in Crimson Desert, plus Things Crimson Desert Doesn’t Tell You (we’ve got 28 and counting!). For all the trials, tribulations, and controversies that Destiny 2 has suffered at the hands of controversial updates and strange vaulting of content, it remains one of my favorite sci-fi FPS games on the market. Few developers can nail atmosphere and gunplay as Bungie can, and while recent expansions haven't been as good as I hoped, they're still plenty of fun - especially the Star Wars-inspired Renegades. If you're looking to completely catch up with the story so far (at least, the story that's still available), the Destiny 2 Expansions Bundle from Humble Bundle is a budget-friendly way to do it - and you'll get a discount for Bungie's Marathon, too. Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest is one of the early-game side quests you can complete in Windrose. It's a relatively simple task, as the location will be marked on the map. However, it can still be a tricky task if you don't know what needs to be done. This guide will help you to complete the side quest and unlock all the available rewards. Windrose Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest quest walkthrough The Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest is a single task quest where you need to find the Pirate's Chest. You'll find several chests on your adventure, but this one is specific. You can begin the quest after checking out the details for the Journal option. Once the quest is active, you'll find a quest marker on the map. It's located in the center of the island, and you'll find four skeletons at the location. Use your shovel and start digging the ground. Once the topsoil is gone, you'll reveal a chest. Screenshot by Destructoid When you try to open the chest, the skeletons will be reincarnated as enemies. These aren't the strongest enemies you'll face, but they can still be quite dangerous. Deal with them, and try to focus on one skeleton at a time. Once they're dead, you can now open the chest as intended, and this will complete the Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest quest. Image via Kraken Express When you kill the skeletons, you'll get resources like Undead Essence. However, you'll also get rewards from the chest. Crimson Desert has a high-profile fan: the director of The Witcher 3. Both games are single-player fantasy adventures, and while The Witcher 3 leans more heavily on story, character, and traditional RPG elements, Pearl Abyss and CD Projekt’s vast open worlds are often compared. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3 and former Cd Projekt executive, told The Game Business that Crimson Desert, alongside Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, are “different.” “The problem in this industry sometimes is that people opening companies are thinking [too much] about how to make money,” Tomaszkiewicz said. “This is a really cold approach for the games. You cannot create art like this.” Tomaszkiewicz, who left CD Projekt to start his own studio, The Blood of Dawnwalker developer Rebel Wolves, said both Crimson Desert and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 rekindled memories of the nineties, when “every game was some unknown.” The approach, he said, of “adding some risky stuff” to triple-A RPGs so they’re not simply the same as what has come before, was the whole point of setting up Rebel Wolves. “I think that this [idea] is growing these days, because when you look at Clair Obscur, or Crimson Desert right now, those games are different,” he said. “They are not a copy of other AAA games, but delivering something quite fresh. And I’m really glad of it because I’m starting to feel like I did in the 1990s when I played games on my 286 PC, or even on the Atari where every game was different game. Every game was some unknown. We want to deliver a similar experience for people.” Both Crimson Desert and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are big hits, with the former selling 4 million copies so far, and the latter selling over 5 million and winning most 2025 Game of the Year awards. Tomaszkiewicz will be hoping for similar returns from The Blood of Dawnwalker, which is another single-player open world fantasy adventure. We’ve got plenty more on Crimson Desert, including a story on how the NPCs are the stars of the show, a hidden food consequence system that a modder has restored, and an impressive character creator mod. We recommend you take a look at our guide to Things to Do First in Crimson Desert, plus Things Crimson Desert Doesn’t Tell You (we’ve got 28 and counting!). Graveyard Keeper 2 was announced this month at the Triple-I Initiative, and to celebrate that the original was made available free for a limited time. FC 26 has a maintenance on April 15, and the servers will be taken down for a significant time. The exact purpose of this maintenance, which comes right before TOTS, remains unknown. However, what we do know is the schedule, and more importantly, when the servers will be back online. Let's find out all the details about today's server maintenance, and when you'll be able to play the game normally. FC 26 server maintenance details (April 15) Today's maintenance will begin at 11pm PT(April 14)/1am CT/2am ET/7am UTC as per the instructions from EA Sports. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior to these timings, and you won't be able to enjoy any mode that requires online connectivity. As per the same schedule, the maintenance should last for 5.5 hours. In simple words, server functionality will return to normalcy at 4:30am PT/6:30am CT/7:30am ET/12:30pm UTC. However, unexpected delays can happen if the maintenance gets extended. We will duly update our guide if that happens. [Hidden Content] Today's maintenance will affect FC 26 on all platforms, and it includes every online game mode. If you try to matchmake in modes like Ultimate Team, it will result in an error. Alternatively, you might fail to enter Ultimate Team in the first place. The same also applies to other modes like Clubs, which also require you to connect to the servers. If you're that desperate to play, you can try out the offline modes instead. This year, EA Sports has made big changes to the Career Mode, and this is the perfect time to try it out. The Career Mode allows you to take a club you love to new glories, and it doesn't require any internet connectivity. It will be interesting to find out if there will be any gameplay changes once the update is over. Today's maintenance could also be a hint at an incoming patch just before TOTS officially begins in Ultimate Team. Bungie has been sprinkling details of its massive patch 1.0.6 update for Marathon in the leadup to its release today, April 14. As an avid player of Bungie's sci-fi extraction shooter myself, I was keen on the revamp to Recon, which has been my main Shell since the pre-launch server slam. And this update goes beyond hotfixes with massive gameplay changes; only letting you attach one Claymore to Med-Drones, nerfing the beloved Bully SMG, and adding a bunch of new gear to work for is just scratching the surface. There are also a few changes that fundamentally wants players to rethink how they interact with each other. The in-game lore calls it C.A.R.R.I. (CyberAcme Runner Reinforcement Initiative), tying the CyberAcme faction to the system itself and it's conveyed to players through ONI, the game's AI character who presides over the story. Now, solo Runners and squads are rewarded for completing contracts and extracting together by giving them a new material called CyberAcme Commendations; extra commendations are given if you extract with players outside of your squad. These are used to get Salvage Crates (for random salvage items) or Reputation Packs (to boost levels with factions), however, C.A.R.R.I. items can only be purchased once. Additionally, the new Mercy Kits let you revive other downed players; an interesting wrinkle to meta-level play. From what I can tell, these are the more notable changes in Marathon patch 1.0.6 aside from the C.A.R.R.I. update: You can decide to stick together after a match when you squad up with strangers.Increased faction reputation and Runner experience gained for solo players.Increased faction reputation earned from contracts for all players.Free and premium tracks have more rewards such as Shell and WSTR shotgun skins.Perimeter (Beginner) map option is now solo-only and available up to level 12.Five new Perimeter (Beginner) contracts are available for those under level 12.New Pacesetter Codex challenges are intended to encourage collaborative play and will be available in future seasons; completion gives the Pacesetter profile title.Improved audio for enemy footsteps and close and mid-range.Tweaked icons for Cores, Implants, and Chips to make them more distinguishable.Signal Jammers are now puchasable.Proximity chat now has a toggle option in addition to the normal push-to-talk.Marathon Weapon Changes (Patch 1.0.6) While those are some of the more minor changes, players should be aware of tweaks to weapon functionality, especially to the ones they've been using since launch. Here are the important weapons changes in patch 1.0.6: There are 11 new blue-tier "deluxe" weapons, which drop from Showcase encounters on Perimeter and Dire Marsh.
