  2. Riot Games is bolstering its efforts to combat toxicity and voice chat ****** in VALORANT, according to a recent update from studio head Anna Donlon. And if you somehow can’t stop yourself from being a hateful bigot, the message is clear: Go away. In today’s dev update, titled “Keeping Our Community Healthy,” Donlon admitted that the existing penalties are not doing enough to remove the most disruptive players from VALORANT efficiently and previewed some new changes. But to the most egregious offenders who intend on being hurtful, no matter what changes are made, Donlon and Riot firmly said they should go anywhere else. View the full article
  3. Helldivers 2 players’ latest Major Order seeks to bring an end to Meridia by turning it into a giant ****** *****. Developer Arrowhead Studios made its will known to all players today, commemorating the “Enduring Peace” movement with a special video that calls for an end to Meridia’s Terminid Supercolony. The message notes that the planet’s destruction will be “a tragedy” but says that the Terminid invasion leaves Super Earth no choice. The Major Order’s in-game description (captured and shared by @HelldiversAlert on X/Twitter) offers more insight into how the war will progress. “We must seize this opportunity to ******** the Terminid Supercolony. Helldivers all across the planet will deploy with a limited supply of the exotic matter known as Dark Fluid, and insert it at critical points in the planet’s crust,” the Enduring Peace Major Order says. MAJOR ORDER: OPERATION "ENDURING PEACE" The time has come. We must eradicate the Meridia Supercolony via experimental deployment of weaponized Dark Fluid. The destruction of an entire planet is a tragedy - but the tyrannical Terminids leave us no choice. Good luck, Helldivers. [Hidden Content] — HELLDIVERS™ 2 (@helldivers2) May 30, 2024 The message continues: “Once critical mass is reached, the planet will collapse into a ****** *****, destroying the threat to Liberty once and for all.” Transforming Meridia into a ****** ***** means using a “well-understood alien superweapon", and some Helldivers 2 players are feeling a bit on edge. When Helldivers were asked to spread a neurotoxin known as Termicide earlier this year, flying Terminid enemies known as Shriekers began to emerge. Now players ***** their latest Major Order could result in the reemergence of the long-extinct Illuminate enemies. “This is completely different than the termicide superweapon that backfired, so we will totally be fine,” one Reddit user said. “No chance of those extinct Illuminate aliens showing up.” “How could they? They’re extinct,” another user replied. “Liberty declared them a threat to peace and smited them.” The Illuminate, a faction that was explored in the original Helldivers, has been a hot topic among Super Earth defenders for a few months. Rumors of their return began when players took notice of mysterious, blue sky lasers in March, and what seemed to be leaked new ****** designs made their way online soon after. We’ll have to wait to see if Helldivers 2 players are successful in their mission to deploy the Dark Fluid. If they are, it could mean the end of Meridia and a new beginning for something even more fearsome. Until then, you can read up on how Arrowhead wants to grow. Then, be sure to check out what the team is doing to keep Helldivers coming back for more. You can also read our 9/10 review of Helldivers 2, where we said, “Helldivers 2's combat feels fantastic, its missions stay fresh and interesting, and its smart progression system doesn’t nickel and dime you. 18. The Steeled Veterans Warbond, which launched alongside Helldivers 2, contained few weapons worthy of the arsenal of Democracy. However, fans have recently been praising one Automaton-butchering *******—the P-4 Senator. With high stopping power and one-shot potential against strong bots, the revolver turned out to be a hidden gem from the game’s first Warbond. The Senator can be seen in action in a May 30 Reddit thread, where a player masterfully maneuvers around the robots and through thick snow to deal devastating (wink, wink) damage. With a single shot, the revolver easily takes down Berserkers and Devastators alike, as well as regular Automaton enemies. Though it can ***** up to six times before having to reload, it is very effective, especially since its ammo is refilled quickly with a six-bullet speedloader. 21. Today, Amazon is offering the powerful and high capacity Anker Prime 20,000mAh USB Power Bank for only $89.98, a hefty 31% price drop from its original $130 MSRP. This is the successor to the Anker 737 that we deemed the best Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally charger. It boasts an absolutely massive 200W of USB power delivery to charge all of your mobile devices simultaneously. Anker Prime 20,000mAh Power Bank for $90 with 200W of USB Type-C Power Delivery The Anker Prime can be used like any other power bank; it does a fine job of charging any of your standard mobile electronics. However, its main purpose is to charge more power hungry devices like laptops, portable gaming systems, and high end phones. It has two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. Each USB Type C port supports up to 100W of Power Delivery. In fact, both ports can charge 100W at the same time. If you want to charge using all three ports simultaneously, then the power distribution will be 100W (Type C), 60W (Type-C) and 40W (Type-A). The 20,000mAh is under the TSA's 27,000mAh limit so it can be brought onto airplanes; it can charge a Nintendo Switch OLED about 4 times, iPhone 15 Pro Max about 4 times, Steam Deck about 3 times, and an ASUS ROG Ally about 7 times. What makes the Prime unique compared to most other power banks is the LCD digital readout which displays a lot of useful real-time information like remaining battery capacity, power input, and power output from each port. The power bank measures 5"x2"x2" and weighs in at 1.2 pounds. The Anker Prime is an excellent Steam Deck / ASUS ROG Ally charger The Anker Prime is an outstanding charger for the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally portable gaming handhelds. The Steam Deck accepts up to 38W of USB Power Delivery and the ASUS ROG Ally accepts up to 65W. That means the Prime can charge three Steam Decks or two ASUS ROG Allys simultaneously at their maximum charging rate. Both the ROG Ally and Steam Deck suffer from a short battery life when gaming on the go. For instance, when playing most games at 60 FPS, you're likely looking at four hours of battery life for the Steam Deck and far less with the ASUS ROG Ally, which is equipped with a measly 2600mAh battery. During our Steam Deck review, we even found games like **** of War or Spider-Man would tap out in under 2-hours as well. At the end of the day, you'll never get the full potential out of your Steam Deck or ROG Ally if you're not equipped with a decent portable charger. View the full article
  22. Amazon is offering the Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Bank for $109 after you clip the $20 off coupon on the product page. This is the largest capacity power bank we've seen that's TSA carry-on eligible. It also uses superior LiFePO4 battery cells, can charge up to 3 devices simultaneously, and boasts up to 100W charging output via USB Type-C. Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Bank for $109 At first glance the Jackery Explorer 100 looks like one of those large power stations you might use as a backup battery for your home. But actually, this thing is pretty small, small enough to fit on the palm of your hand. It measures only 5"x3.4"x3.4" and weighs about 2 pounds. This is a 99Whr power bank, which means it just barely squeezes its way under TSA's sub-100Whr requirement. With a 31,000mAh total capacity, this is definitely the largest TSA carry-on eligible power bank we've posted on IGN. Unlike most smaller power banks which use lithium-ion cells, the Jackery Explorer 100 uses LiFePO4 cells. They're usually more expensive and also a bit heavier, but in exchange you get inherently safer battery chemistry and a much longer lifespan, both in terms of number of cycles and calendar aging. The Jackery Explorer 100 has three outputs: two USB Type-C with PPS and Power Delivery up to 100W total, and a USB Type-A with 28W of charging for a total of 128W. The Steam Deck supports up to 45W max charging, the ASUS ROG Ally up to 65W, and the Nintendo Switch up to 18W. That means ou can charge a Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, or Nintendo Switch at its maximum charging speed. In fact, you could almost charge all three at their maximum charging rate simultaneously. Jackery is a well known brand that's based out of Fremont, California. They're very reliable and are often a great alternative to the juggernaut ******** companies like Ecoflow and Bluetti. This power bank is UL 94V-0 certified and includes a 2 year warranty. For more options, check out our favorite power banks for 2024. View the full article
