  1. My PC has a big white case, and sometimes, I sit and think: “big white box good!” But other times, I glance over to my PS5 and think: “other big white box also good!” Then I start getting fanciful and imagine a lovely future where they can both combine into one. Keeping track of two big white boxes is hard! Luckily, I only have to write about one of those big white boxes for RPS the vast majority of the time. Today is one of the rare occasions I do have to cover both, so here’s everything announced at yesterday’s Playstation State Of Play that you, the discerning big white box owner, might find relevant: Read more View the full article
  2. The everlasting hope of a new Bloodborne reveal at PlayStation State of Play was once again dashed, but PS5 owners are still getting an exclusive Soulslike—Ballad of Antara. It hasn’t got anything to do with FromSoftware, but the announcement trailer from May 31 looks promising. Ballad of Antara is from Tipsworks Studio, and it calls the game an action RPG where you play “an adventure of two intertwined fates through exotic landscapes.” You can play as multiple characters with unique builds and combat styles, and the game’s multiplayer feature means you don’t have to take on the massive monsters from the trailer alone. 3. Developer Monomi Park has released a new update for ****** Rancher 2, entitled "Add to Cart, ProntoMart," that adds a slew of features to the title. This includes a new shop system that will give players more ways to spend their Newbucks and keep their Slimes happy. This will provide ****** Rancher 2 gamers with additional options to meet their ranching needs. View the full article
  4. Sony have dropped a trailer and release date for Concord, a new 5V5 multiplayer FPS in which you play a bunch of freegans carrying out heists (divided into six modes) on various loudly ********* alien planets. Sorry, not freegans - freegunners. Freeganism is a portmanteau of "free" and "vegan" referring to people who fish jars of near-spoiled humus out of supermarket dumpsters according to an ideology of minimal resource consumption. Freegunners, meanwhile, are lairy Guardians Of The Galaxy-alike mercenaries with phat guns and playstyle-defining secondary abilities. They do not consume humus as far as I know. The game is out 23rd August 2024, with a beta happening in July, and I've got an overview trailer for you below. Read more View the full article
  5. Riot Games launched a new Freljord-themed event yesterday, teasing the upcoming champion, Aurora. Naturally, since the whole schtick revolves around Ornn, fans are all over it, with some calling it their favorite League of Legends event. “Getting to explore Ornn’s forge is so much fun,” a Reddit user wrote in a May 30 thread. The event’s Visual Novel sees Aurora seek out an audience with Ornn, the famed divine blacksmith, to ask if he can help her friend. The friend, of course, turns out to be one of Ornn’s many siblings, of the same ****-like species as Anivia and Volibear. Players can interact with things like in any other visual novel, explore his forge, and get to know his charming character. View the full article
  6. Marvel Rivals has been confirmed for consoles, alongside the news that a closed beta is coming this summer. The game’s second testing phase will take place in July on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam. 7. Per last night’s Sony State of Play, PS5 darling and supposedly rather good action-dad adventure **** of War Ragnarök is coming to PC on September 19th 2024. The good news is that the port, co-developed by Jetpack Interactive and original makers Santa Monica Studio, will pack in all the DLSS 3, FSR 3, and ultrawide what-have-yous that one might expect from a big, monied PC release. The bad, silly, clearly pointless news is that it will need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, despite the complete lack of multiplayer. Read more View the full article
  8. In case you missed yesterday's PlayStation State of Play, one of the big announcements was **** of War Ragnarok's PC port, which is set to arrive on September 19. So, here's a thing people had been anticipating for a while. It'll come, as these kinds of PC ports often do, with all of the DLC for the game and some extra performance options. Though, it'll require PC players to create a PSN account to pair with their Steam one - and here's why that's annoyed a lot of folks. First of all, the fact that Ragnarok on PC will require a PlayStation Network account has been confirmed via the blog post about the game's PC announcement, reinforcing what a statement flicked up during the State of Play broadcast itself seemed to suggest. The Steam page for it, meanwhile, features a prominently displayed text box that reads: "PlayStation Network Account required, subject to the PlayStation Terms of Services and User Agreement." 9. We’re coming up on one year since Diablo 4 was released - how time flies! The 12-month ******* has been fairly tumultuous for Blizzard's action RPG, with highs, very bizarre lows and unforced errors, but we like to think things have settled now. The most recent update, Season 4 Loot Reborn, has been keeping players busy, and many have proclaimed it to be the game’s best season, yet - even if it’s really not much of a season at all when it comes to new content. But, the mechanical and systemic changes it brought have transformed the game. Blizzard clearly wants to keep this train rolling, and it's going to use the game’s first birthday celebration to do that. Read more View the full article

  19. Sony appears to be full throttle on shoving its controversial PlayStation Network account requirements down PC gamers’ throats, despite the mega backlash the company faced recently after trying the lock on Helldivers 2. **** of War Ragnarök, the next PlayStation game heading to PC, carries the same conditions that saw Sony blasted by bad PR from the Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima fandoms. 20. Materials are very hard to come by in Wuthering Waves, and the daily Waveplate limit makes farming upgrade materials frustratingly slow. The game sells special bundles for real money in the store so you can bypass these restrictions, but are any of them even worth it?Since Wuthering Waves is a gacha game, it’s only natural that it tries to squeeze money out of you at every opportunity. The store bundles are one of the most egregious examples of this, offering you a small handful of XP for your Resonators and equipment for a few real-world dollars. You can even spend as much as you would for 5-star characters solely on Shell Credits and other items that you can get just by playing the game, so what’s the deal with these Wuthering Waves store bundles?Should You Buy Store Bundles in Wuthering Waves? There are five store bundles available for purchase in the Special Offers section of the Wuthering Waves store.Traveler’s EXP AidSage’s EXP Support...View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

  22. The world of Wuthering Waves contains several elite enemies that can be defeated to earn trophies and obtain powerful Echoes, but tracking them down isn’t always easy. The Gorilla Gazer achievement in Wuthering Waves requires you to defeat an ****** called Wild Scarlet, but it doesn’t give you an exact location to find it.The only hint you have to go off of is that the Wild Scarlet is located in Dim Forest, which is the large region that comprises the southern portion of the Wuthering Waves map. That’s a lot of ground to cover, so it’s not exactly a helpful hint. If you want to get this achievement completed as fast as possible, here’s where you can find the Wild Scarlet in Dim Forest when playing Wuthering Waves. How to Get the Gorilla Gazer Achievement in Wuthering WavesYou can find the Wild Scarlet in the Thorny Passage near the Giant Banyan and Violent Banyan in the northern part of the Dim Forest region. 25. After almost six months of waiting, we finally got a full look at how Monster Hunter Wilds will play today, with Capcom showing off its dynamic world, new monsters, and upgrades to how you will use weapons.
