One of the most anticipated titles of the latter half of 2024 is slowly picking up steam on Steam as its release date gets ever closer. ****** Myth: Wukong now sits at the prestigious number-one spot on Valve’s storefront as its current best-selling game. The Soulslike game is currently aiming for an Aug. 20 release date and is dominating the top seller list at the time of writing.   11. Ark: Survival Ascended has finally added the Aberration DLC, which returns an awesome but weird mechanic. Ascended has had one roller coaster of an existence. Though it fulfills its goal of being an upgraded version of Evolved, it has had a myriad of issues. The most major is the high requirements needed to run the game, which excludes many potential users.   24. Somehow, Valve might have two new games in development right now. Between Half-Life 3 and Deadlock, the Steam maker has stayed radio silent on what could be next, but this hasn't stopped us all from guessing. After Counter-Strike 2 and Half-Life Alyx came out of nowhere, certainly anything's possible. I wouldn't hold out hope just yet, but if what we've heard of Deadlock is to be believed, the upcoming Valve shooter has been gearing up on Steam. I've played plenty of great new competitive shooters over the last few years, but if I'm being brutally honest, I can't remember any of them feeling quite as fun and fresh as the original Splitgate. Who knew that dropping real-time portals into a Halo-esque arena shooter would produce such an addictive gameplay loop with a super-high skill ceiling? It seems obvious now. As a result, I've been waiting in anticipation for its big budget, Unreal Engine 5 sequel, Splitgate 2, to arrive. This week, we all finally got the chance to see gameplay for the very first time, and it looks absolutely sensational - however, I'm a touch worried that it may have lost the soul of the original.
