  1. Out of all the companion characters in Baldur's Gate 3, Karlach has found a special place in the hearts of the community, as evidenced by this wonderfully chaotic cosplay that demonstrates the Barbarian flexing her might in Avernus. The Tiefling warrior, whose stature and brutality mask her wholesome energy, is a standout character in Larian Studios RPG largely because she's arguably the only genuinely good person that can recruited to the party. Still, it'd be a mistake to see that as a weakness as with an axe in her hand, Karlach is a fearsome combatant. View the full article
  2. It’s kickoff time. College football is back, both in real life and in digital form, thanks to the return of EA’s College Football series. 3. Fearless and reliable, Illaoi is one of the newest additions to League of Legends‘ formidable Anima Squad. She is also ready to defend Earth against the incoming Primordian onslaught in the game’s newest PvE game mode, Swarm—but only with the right build for the job. There are many different weapons and upgrades you can collect over the course of a game. Depending on the champion you’ve chosen, you’ll need to pick wisely so you can maximize your potential on the battlefield, whether you’re a ranged threat like Xayah and Jinx, a ferocious melee damage dealer like Yasuo, or a frontline brawler like Illaoi. 4. The new hotfix 1.0.3 for The First Descendant makes several improvements to the game, including giving players the ability to report AFK teammates and adjusting its Destiny-like mission icons. As one of 2024's most popular new looter shooters, The First Descendant has amassed a significant playerbase within its first month live, with an impressive 10 million players jumping in during its first week. Despite its early success, the game's shifty monetization practices have come under scrutiny, as it charges players exorbitant amounts of money to acquire Descendants without having to undergo tedious and sometimes frustrating grinds. 5. [/url] Nintendo's Joy-**** Charging Stand (Two-Way) seems useful, but it's coming out at a strange time in the console's lifecycle. [credit: Nintendo ] Nintendo's Switch launched in March of 2017, and all available information indicates that the company is on track to announce a successor early next year. It's that timing that makes the launch of Nintendo's latest Switch accessory so odd: The company has announced a first-party charging cradle for Joy-**** controllers, which up until now have been charged by slotting them into the console itself, via Nintendo's sold-separately Joy-**** charging grip, or with third-party charging accessories. The Nintendo of Europe account on X, formerly Twitter, announced that the charging accessory—formally called the "Joy-**** Charging Stand (Two-Way)"—will be released on October 17th. It will work with both Joy-***** and the Switch Online wireless NES controllers, and the charging cradle can be separated from its stand (where it looks a lot like the Joy-**** charging grip but without the grip part). Power is provided via a USB-C port on top of the stand, which can either be connected to one of the Switch dock's USB ports or to a separate USB-C charger. Other Switch controllers, including the Pro Controller and the SNES and N64 replica controllers, are charged via USB-C directly. Read 7 remaining paragraphs | Comments View the full article
  6. You’ll find you need to complete several challenges while exploring Once Human, giving you ways to earn unique rewards and experience for your character. A notably difficult challenge is tracking down Tangled Vines and destroying them using incendiary blasts. Although the challenge requires you to use an incendiary blast, there are multiple ways to remove these Tangled Vines. These vines typically wrap around crates containing various loot items that you can add to your growing collection. Not only can we show you how to complete this challenge in Once Human to remove these vines, but we can make it easier for you to get more rewards. View the full article
  7. Team Deathmatch just got a whole lot *******. Apex Legends‘ new Void Reckoning event is turning TDM up a notch with an LTM that doubles the size of the game’s existing TDM mode, making for some good, old-fashioned chaos. Big TDM will feature teams of 12 as opposed to teams of six players each. The new and ******* version will also increase the winning team’s score limit to 60, and the Apex blog also mentions the new LTM will have “improved health regeneration.” That’s good news for players who want to ****** early and often, as improved health regen will hopefully mean people have an easier time resetting after taking a solo ****** with an ******, and teams won’t have to ***** instant, third-party deathball strategies from their opposition. 10. EA Sports College Football 25 adds a new twist to the Dynasty mode with Pipelines, but how exactly do they work? The popular College Football franchise has finally returned and brings with it a lot of excitement. Though much is the same, a myriad of gameplay changes have brought hope to sports game fans. 11. Sometimes a game just clicks with you. During my teenage years, it was Dragon Age: Origins, LA Noire, and Mirror's Edge. For my adulthood, it was League of Legends, then smaller titles like the Plague Tale series or Ghostrunner. It was, however, never FromSoftware's Souls games. While Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro are formative experiences for many, the difficulty curve just isn't for me. Yet I'm obsessed with their aesthetics - Bloodborne whispers to my vampiric soul, and Elden Ring's weird monstrosities unsettle and intrigue me. When I first saw Phantom Blade Zero, my heart sank; it looked so cool, but I figured I'd never be able to fully enjoy it. Read the rest of the story... View the full article
  12. In the ****** Slayer-inspired game ****** Soul Simulator, you need lots of Souls to progress. Getting them can sometimes be quite time-consuming and tedious, but luckily for gamers, there are many codes you can redeem to unlock some right away. Almost all the codes that have ever been available in ****** Soul Simulator have provided either free Souls or a boost to make collecting Souls easier. These codes are pretty straightforward, but since you need as many Souls as you can get, it’s worth knowing all the codes for Roblox’s ****** Soul Simulator. View the full article
  13. Elden Ring has several Legendary weapons that can change the way you play. One of the more elusive ones you can get in the base game is the Bolt of Gransax, a Quality ******* that deals great Lightning damage. This is how you can build around it. The best Bolt of Gransax build in Elden Ring The power of the Ancient Dragon. Image via FromSoftware The Bolt of Gransax is a Legendary Spear in Elden Ring. This ******* scales with Strength and Dexterity, so the build we are going for will be a Quality build focusing on both these stats. The Ancient Lightning Spear ******* skill combined with the *******’s own innate Lightning damage also makes this a great melee Lightning build. 14. We've had a glut of articles about gloomier video games on here today, Rachel's bright and breezy Dungeons Of Hinterberg review notwithstanding. Tomorrow, I promise, it'll be wall-to-wall wholesome life sims, pastel petals and hug emojis as far as the eye can see. But before then, a quick piece on well-received DreadXP-published horror sim The Mortuary Assistant, which will shortly be updated with an "endless embalming-only mode" that strips out the game's supernatural scares and turns it into a very downbeat job sim. 17. After months of waiting and speculation, Juno (previously known only as Space Ranger) has arrived in Overwatch 2. The adorable martian has made her way to OW2 as the game’s 11th support hero, bringing mobility, flexibility, and a very interesting ability kit to the fray for players of all skill levels to have fun with. 18. When it comes to hero shooters, there’s no cast of characters that’s more loveable than those in Overwatch 2, and Juno’s arrival means a new voice actor joining that list. One of the coolest things about OW2′s growing cast of heroes, villains, robots, and oddities, is that the voice actors for them become part of a family. They’re often seen hanging out together, posting videos online, or just generally enjoying each other’s presence. View the full article
  19. CYGNI: All Guns Blazing certainly lives up to its name with vibrant visuals and a lot happening on screen at any given time—meaning your PC specs and requirements will be tested. PC users constantly have to battle with the pressure of having a rig capable of running games. CYGNI: All Guns Blazing may not carry the weight of expectation as some of its other AAA contemporaries this year, but its trailers and gameplay footage suggest it could be ***** on hardware. 20. The storytelling of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree gives the Tarnished information in pieces, then leaves it to them to put everything together in order to form an idea of events that happened in both the Lands Between and the Land of Shadow. As a result, parallels between events are often not fully realized until the Tarnished has finished their journey and looks back on the characters, their backgrounds, and motivations. Then, with the help of hindsight, missed connections become clear. View the full article
  21. It’s been a huge week for EA Sports with the highly successful launch of College Football 25 followed by the big reveal of EA FC 25, but the company has scored an own goal with the latest development. EA FC 25 showed plenty of promise in my first-hand look at the next entry in the series, with some big gameplay updates alongside some major quality-of-life improvements, all of which left me optimistic about the direction the game is moving in. 22. One incredibly impressive build in Minecraft took almost 14 years to build, and it paid off. Players are no strangers to creating massive-scale builds, especially with projects like Build The Earth, a 1:1 scale model of the Earth, and an accurate Disneyland build complete with rides and gift shops. Oftentimes, players will sink hours or a few days into one build to get it just right and to make the coolest Minecraft house they can think of. However, sometimes there are projects that take much more dedication than a few days. View the full article

  25. Hello. Remember Splitgate? Well, its sequel, Splitgate 2, has just been revealed and is set to arrive in 2025. If you missed the boat on the original, it was a pretty big thing for a hot minute a few years ago, thanks to being a fun shooter with gameplay that pretty much answered any questions you might have had about what would happen if a Halo game and a Portal game loved each other very much, went into a bedroom, and, er, cuddled a bit. As detailed in a fresh PlayStation blog, Splitgate 2 is set to arrive in 2025, and will build on the original thanks to a beefier budget and a larger roster of developers.
