Sorry, fans of the live-action Halo TV series, which proved a bit controversial at time, but did end up winning a fair few folks over. After two seasons, it's set to be cancelled by Paramount+, which has served as its home up until this point. Though, it sounds at though this might not necessarily be the end of the road. Setting out to design a Souslike game to be as accessible for newcomers as possible while still catering to veterans seems like an almost impossible task, and yet that's exactly the tightwire act Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn attempts. If you want to continue pushing to Swarm’s heights, you need to get better at farming gold so the upgrades don’t bankrupt you. In a letter to the court posted as part of an ongoing appeal by the FTC in the case, the federal regulator alleges Microsoft's moves are a clear example of "product degradation" brought about by "a firm exercising market power post-merger." The letter's primary focus is on the soon-to-be-discontinued $10.99/month Console Game Pass tier. That's being replaced with a $14.99/month Game Pass Standard tier (a 36 percent price increase) that no longer includes "day one" access to all of Microsoft's first-party titles. To maintain that key benefit, "Console" subscribers will have to spend 81 percent more for the $19.99 Game Pass Ultimate tier, which also includes a number of additional benefits over the current $10.99/month option. It's almost impossible to walk away from Baldur's Gate 3 after just one playthrough, especially not with all the different morality options players have to pick from as they play.
