We’re just one week away from the release of the Khaos Reigns expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, which brings a new cinematic story mode alongside a second Kombat Pack that features Ghostface from the Scream franchise. And the expansion’s launch trailer included a particularly exciting new fatility. Much like the reveal trailer a few months prior, this launch trailer only offered small glimpses into not only Ghostface, but also guest characters Conan the Barbarian and the T-1000 from Terminator 2. But the trailer did end with a preview of one of Ghostface’s fatalities. It starts off with the ******* stabbing their victim in the stomach, causing them to stumble backwards. Unfortunately for them, they bump into a second Ghostface ******* and the two team up to cut their victim to shreds, laughing maniacally at their demise. The $999 Focus Vision is available for preorder from now until October 17th on HTC’s website. The Focus Vision can be used either as a standalone device or tethered to your PC using USB-C. It’s essentially a beefed-up version of the Focus 3, which the company released in 2021 — it has the same 2448 x 2448 per-eye resolution and 120-degree field of view and also uses a Snapdragon XR2 chip. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has a number of Chapters for players to choose from when customizing their character. Of the 1,000 Space Marine Chapters floating about the 40K universe, only 30 made the cut, although many of them are from the 20 First Founding Legions. To add a bit more incentive to your ranked grind, Blizzard Entertainment is adding another way to earn some new rewards in Overwatch 2 with the Competitive Drives system. Introduced in the latest patch notes, Competitive Drives will be held as limited-time events found in Competitive Play, featured only for Role ******. Within this event, players will also gain access to new Signature cosmetics to help show off your progression and dedication on your climb to the top. Freedom Wars, a PlayStation Vita-exclusive title, is getting a modern remaster courtesy of its original developers. Titled Freedom Wars Remastered, the action game is slated for release on January 10, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Starfield is not without its abundance of oddities throughout the Settled Systems. From the crab-like Kreet Stalker to the creepy Terrormorph, Starfield has an alien lifeform of every disturbing kind. There is one alien fauna that is pulled directly from nightmares the Hunting Brainsquid. With an exposed brain sitting upon four squid-like legs, the Brainsquid is an unsettling creature to come across. Bethesda's creative ingenuity of creature design in Starfield does have some observable callbacks to their other franchises, such as Bud's jarred brain in the Fallout TV show. View the full article
Enotria: The Last Song’s entire playstyle revolves around swapping between Masks and taking advantage of their different abilities and effects. Your build will be largely dependent on the Mask you’re wearing, and to have the best chance at unraveling the world of Enotria, you’ll need to collect them all. You start your journey as a Maskless, but early into the game, you’ll be given the Mask of Change and Piercing Wit Masks. The rest of the Masks are acquired by either collecting shards dropped by enemies or by defeating bosses. ***** by Daylight fans will be disappointed to learn Behaviour Interactive has canceled the co-op spin-off game “Project T.” Behaviour announced the news in an X post, communicating that unfavorable reviews from its Insiders Program indicated Project T wasn’t performing as expected. Project T was intended to be a four-player co-op PVE shooter experience set in the world of ***** by Daylight and joining the asymmetrical horror game’s other spin-off, The Casting of Frank Stone.
