Fallout co-creator Tim Cain has expressed the obstacles involved in bringing remasters of the original games in the series to fruition. The first Fallout game was released in 1997 under Interplay Productions, introducing its signature retro-futuristic style into the post-apocalyptic setting. A sequel was released the following year, developed by ****** Isle Studios, taking place 79 years after the events of its predecessor. View the full article
Septims make Nirn go round, but scrounging barrels for a few pennies and completing menial quests can be a bit deflating, especially in the early game when you're just starting out. Luckily, the Oblivion Remastered community has a few tips on how to fill your coffers. View the full article

Good morning, Destructoid, and happy new week this glorious Monday morning. How are you doing? I have been spending the weekend shiny hunting tons of Pokémon on my Nintendo Switch to pass the time, as well as watching some of my favorite Shiny hunting Twitch streamers, and it got me thinking—what is your favorite Shiny Pokémon? Then I started to think what mine was. I had to sit on this for a while, and I spent a bit of time until I came up with a handful that I feel are some of my favorites, either for cosmetic reasons or nostalgia. [Hidden Content] I think many of us would agree that Shiny Rayquaza is a fantastic choice and was where my head went first when I thought of Shiny Pokémon. The ****** dragon even got its own event recently, but it's always been that one legendary Shiny Pokémon that is a must-have to capture. Shiny Greninja is another one I like (seeing a common color theme here for my Shiny Pokémon tastes), with the ****** suiting its Ninja aesthetic far more than it deserves to be. It's also one of the few shiny Pokémon starters I've sat and got at the beginning of the game to have as my Pokémon partner outside of Shiny Incineroar, which is also a personal favorite, mainly due to some silly headcanon between mine and my partner's own Incineroar during the Alola years. Lastly, I think the final Shiny Pokémon I can think of that I really like is Sylveon. I always liked Shiny Eevee but never found much charm in its other Shiny evolution forms like others did, until Sylveon appeared to change all that. I love my blue boy to bits! If I were to speedrun picks of what I feel are notoriously good Shiny Pokémon, a lot of people seem to like, Charizard is right up there, as well as Gyarados, because of the Johto games. Most of the eeveelution Shiny Pokémon are also pretty beloved, as well as Metagross and a few others. But enough about my likes, what is your favourite Shiny Pokémon, Destructoid? The post Which is your favourite Shiny Pokémon, Destructoid? appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Horses in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered may not be as realistic as those in Red Dead Redemption 2, but even if this does no favors to immersion, it can often make them much more fun to use in-game. While it might seem unfair to compare the two, some of the most interesting differences between them make both stand out. Revisiting Oblivion in 2025 via Oblivion Remastered makes the contrast even more striking, as the classic Elder Scrolls approach now feels like the product of a totally different time. A Marvel Rivals fan is sharing their stunning concepts for a new set of skins based on One Piece, with Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, and Rocket Raccoon sporting new looks. The game has seen frequent updates since its launch, with multiple new Heroes added to the game during each of its two competitive seasons. Now, one fan is imagining a pair of anime-inspired skins for three popular characters. View the full article
A Minecraft player is showing off their stunning re-creation of the Ender Dragon within the game's overworld, sculpting a full-size statue of the game's final boss. Beyond the crafting and building that is the core of the Mojang sandbox survival game's gameplay, the game features a plethora of different bosses for players to challenge throughout its procedurally-generated worlds. Players can spawn The Wither with a mixture of soul sand and Wither Skeleton skulls, while others like the Warden inhabit the game's deepest depths. However, one boss has become one of the game's most iconic enemies. View the full article

If you're looking forward to the upcoming release of Dune: Awakening, you may or may not know that there have been quite a few Dune games created over the years with varying degrees of success. Dune is a fascinating IP in that it reaches into all corners of culture and media, largely due to its expansive and immersive universe, warring political houses, and one of the most iconic settings in all science fiction, the desert planet of Arrakis, aka Dune. However, doing justice to this universe has proven to be a rather difficult endeavor. View the full article

With theElden Ring film officially confirmed by A24, fans like myself who have spent countless hours exploring the Lands Between are feeling ambivalent about how the story and world will translate to the big screen. On the one hand, I am extremely excited to see the mystical and mysterious world of Elden Ring come to life in live-action and to be able to experience an IP I adore in a brand-new way. But I am also not naive, and can't help but think about the recent botched Borderlands film as an example of how terribly things can go wrong. View the full article
