Fallout: New Vegas may be getting a remaster after all. Fallout fans have been asking for a current-gen version of the 2010 classic for a while, but it's seemed increasingly unlikely as time has gone by with no word from Bethesda on the matter. Just when it seemed like all hope for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster was lost, one sentence stoked the flames back to life. View the full article

Rebel Wolves is back with another gameplay demo for The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it's already been making changes from its last showing based on player feedback. Given the studio's origins as a team of ex-CD Projekt Red developers with credits across Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher games, there's every reason to hope that The Blood of Dawnwalker could turn into one of the best RPGs on the horizon. Writer Ariana Siarkiewicz walks us through some fresh gameplay, and details some of the adjustments that have been implemented so far. Read the rest of the story... If you're on the on the lookout for a budget gaming monitor, this discounted LG display is one of the best deals I've ever seen. With a massive 47% off, this 27-inch gaming monitor delivers a speedy 144Hz refresh rate, a 1080p resolution, and the great viewing angles of an IPS LCD panel, all for just $89. While I'd never claim an entry-level display like this is going to be the best gaming monitor you've ever set eyes on, LG delivers reliably good monitors. ****** Ops 7 has a frankly ridiculous amount of content packed into it at launch, even by Call of Duty's standards. Deep breath. Here goes: A co-op campaign; Endgame, the replayable PvE extraction mode that acts as the campaign's epilogue; Ashes of the Damned, a round-based Zombies map that can be played in Standard, Directed, or the new Cursed mode; Zombies Survival mode; Dead Ops Arcade; 18 multiplayer maps, including remasters of classics like Hijacked and Raid; 11 core multiplayer modes, including newcomers Overload and Skirmish; Face Off variants of several modes; ten Prestiges and a thousand Prestige Master Levels to grind through after that; and more camo challenges, loadout unlocks, and store bundles than you can shake a melee weapon at. Every once in a while, the gaming industry saves a large release for the December holiday rush. And since 2025 has already been so great for full games, why not have just one more? It appears that, in a year full of incredible game releases, Nintendo has one more banger left for us at the beginning of December with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Last week, I was invited by Nintendo to try out Samus Aran's latest adventure at a special event in New York City, and after some hands-on time, I'm pretty confident that we have yet another awesome AAA release to go before the calendar flips. Image via Nintendo First up, I was invited to try out the opening intro sequence to the FPS title that Nintendo revealed earlier this year. Samus has been called to help protect a special artifact under siege by space pirates, and wouldn't you know it, things go awry. On first impression, Metroid Prime 4 is a stunning game, visually. It can be played at 4K resolution and 60fps, or 1080p and 120fps in Docked mode on the Nintendo Switch 2, or 1080p and 60 FPS/720p and 120fps in Handheld mode. The imagery is crystal clear, buttery smooth, and colorful, creating the best-looking Metroid game yet, especially in Docked mode on a big screen. As is the case in basically every Metroid, Samus shows up to help out the Galactic Federation fully kitted with her maxed-out suit, but something goes awry. This time, it is in the gift of a Psychic Crystal from an ancient alien race known as the Lamorn. This crystal opens up a whole new world of abilities and discovery for Samus as she's sent on a quest to help the Lamorn as their "chosen one," but equipping the crystal on her visor strips her of some of her base abilities, like Missiles and Double Jump. In true Metroid fashion, Samus must then power up with new abilities found all over the planet of Viewros, hunting down five keys to gain a special item atop a mysterious tower to help spread the Lamorn's legacy and message. It begins with the first area of the game, a lush jungle called Fury Green, filled with flora and fauna out to kill you. Metroid Prime 4 offers multiple control schemes, including the JoyCon 2's mouse controls or even gyroscopic controls, which makes it feel like a light gun shooter where you use the right JoyCon to aim at the screen. I still prefer using the Pro Controller method, but the ability to swap between the schemes is nice. Image via Nintendo The first ability I found after mowing through some enemies is a Psychic Glove, which basically grants Samus telekinetic abilities. By pressing the X button, Samus enables the psychic version of her visor that allows her to see special psychic orbs and doorways that can be interacted with, using the glove to open doorways or solve puzzles to advance in the direction of her objectives. Using the visor to scan the environment is vital in figuring out where to go or what to do next. Along the way, I met a new NPC named Myles Mackenzie and saved his nerdy engineer life from some local aliens. I then escorted him to the next area, where he was able to use his tech skills to help me regain my Missiles and the next ability, the Control Beam. The Control Beam fires a guidable projectile that you can pilot through areas that Samus normally wouldn't be able to gain access to, and I used it to fly the beam through a hole in a wall to open up a door from the opposite side. None of this function is readily apparent, however, so it takes some visor scanning and trial-and-error to figure out, further making the game feel like a puzzler at times. With Myles' help, I ended up at a boss fight with a giant piranha plant-like alien creature named Carvex. To deal damage, I had to use Missiles to break armored joints on its tentacle arms to expose them to damage, and then combo that with the Control Beam to fly the projectile into them to break the arms and open up its belly-like weak point, all while dodging projectiles and melee attacks. Taking down Carvex rewards the Psychic Bomb ability, which is Samus's classic Morph Ball Bomb with a twist: when placing it, you can then use the Psychic Glove and visor to pick them up and put them in out-of-reach places. I used this ability to open up my way to the next area, but that's when the demo came to an end. Image via Nintendo I must admit, this was my first Metroid Prime gameplay experience, although I have watched videos to catch up on the lore and story. I've played several other 2D Metroid titles (Metroid Fusion and Metroid Dread are two of my favorite games ever), but now I feel compelled to go back and try the rest because Metroid Prime 4: Beyond feels like it may very well be destined for more critical acclaim, judging from the hour-plus I've played. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Dec. 4. Snap and Salvage is a new quest you can complete in ARC Raiders if you have access to the map, and the tasks can be pretty tricky. With Stella Montis now unlocked, we can gain access to the quests exclusive to the region. The Snap and Salvage is the third quest in the Stella Montis storyline that you gain from Tian Wen. The tasks of the quest will send you on a tour along the new map. To reach the point, you'll have to go to the base floor or press E for the alternate map view. Go through the entrance to the Sandbox region and take the path that goes straight. Rover location in Stella Montis. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid The path in front of you will take you straight to Robotic Sandbox. I have marked the location of the Rover as well. Once you find the Rover, stand close to it, and you'll be able to take a snap of it. From the entrance, you'll first have to go straight, and you'll come across a window on your right. You can either use the lift or just jump down to reach the middle of the Sandbox (where the Rover is located). Paper Location To find the security papers, go to the Lobby area of the map. Then, you'll come across a breachable door behind the Security desk (right from the scanner). The door is right at the corner of the room behind the desk. Breach the door, go straight (a few steps), and you'll find a U-shaped table to your right. The security papers will be on the table. Security Papers location in the Lobby. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid I have marked the exact location where the papers can be found. Magnetron and Flow Controllers locations Getting the Magnetron and Flow Controllers is entirely random, and they're new Exodus materials added to ARC Raiders. Your best bet is to search as many containers as possible in the Stella Montis map. While I found Magnetron in a container at the Security Checkpoint room, the Flow Controller came from the Cafeteria region. I believe that the locations are completely random, and you'll have to search thoroughly to find them. The post How to complete Snap and Salvage in ARC Raiders appeared first on Destructoid. A new Dungeons & Dragons lore book has provided fresh details on the fate of everyone's favorite Baldur's Gate 3 barbarian tiefling — and officially confirmed a happier canon ending than the game itself provides. Warning! Baldur's Gate 3 spoilers follow... Within Baldur's Gate 3 itself, a range of possible finales are possible for Karlach, your companion whose mechanical heart always seems on the brink of shutting down. Indeed, without intervention, players can watch Karlach tragically burn up as her infernal engine finally combusts, or alternatively sacrifice herself and become a Mind Flayer. Another option, meanwhile, sees the player convincing Karlach to depart Faerûn to live in Avernus and hope for a more permanent cure — leaving the character's ultimate survival open to debate. Now, fans think they finally have an answer for what happens next if Karlach does go back to Avernus, thanks to the canon Astarion's Book of Hungers D&D Expansion. This book confirms that a pair of other D&D installments that feature Karlach are set post-Baldur's Gate 3. Therefore, canonically, Karlach survived for several years after the game's epilogue, and is back in Faerûn. "Progressing the year to 1501 and having Karlach in the city again implies she gets her engine fixed in canon," social media user RenMasaoAnkoku wrote, as spotted by GamesRadar+. Them progressing the year to 1501 and having Karlach in the city again implies she gets her engine fixed in canon [Hidden Content] — Ren Masao Ankoku (@RenMasaoAnkoku) November 12, 2025 The post shares an official timeline of fellow companion Astarion's life that places "the events of Baldur's Gate 3" in 1492, by Dalereckoning (DR). Meanwhile, the events of Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn and Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn — in which Karlach appears — take place three years later, in 1501 DR. This fits with what we already know of Karlach's possible future should she be convinced back to Avernus. In the game's epilogue, set six months later, Karlach mentions a recent adventure where she obtained a set of blueprints offering a possible solution for her infernal engine. Seemingly, then, these worked — for another few years, at least — to allow her back to Faerûn and hopefully another reunion with your party. Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian may be done with major updates, but it's still releasing occasional hotfixes. The bulk of the studio is meanwhile working on what's next for the company — though it won't be Baldur's Gate 4. Still, it's expected that another studio will eventually make a sequel to the hugely-successful role-playing game. Here's hoping Karlach once again pops up in that. Tom Phillips is IGN's News Editor. In My Image is the first ARC Raiders quest that's exclusive to the Stella Montis region, and it's a relatively easy one. The new quest begins once you obtain it from Lance. He requires you to look for three Androids spread across the Stella Montis map. This guide will help you clear any doubts you might have regarding completing the quest. Table of contentsARC Raiders In My Image quest walkthroughARC Raiders In My Image quest rewardsARC Raiders In My Image quest walkthrough The In My Image quest can be broken down into two main tasks. Go to Stella Montis.Find and Search 3 Androids. The first part of the task is pretty apparent, and there's not much to discuss. Stella Montis is available as of writing, and you'll be able to access it pretty easily. It's the second task that can be quite confusing. The Androids are fallen robot bodies that you can find all around Stella Montis. They appear to be present in almost every POI you can find inside the map. The best spots appear to be the Lobby and Business Center, which had the highest number of Androids on the floor. Their positions could vary slightly based on the round and the timing of the raid. Android's locations in ARC Raiders. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid I have marked three locations on the map where I managed to find Androids on my raids. Certain areas, like the Lobby, have more than one Android. To complete the quest, you'll have to search any three of them by standing close to them.
