Nvidia is reportedly gearing up to launch a new budget gaming GPU that's cheaper than the RTX 5060, with the latest rumors saying the new graphics card will launch next month. Unlike the RTX 4050, which was only available for laptops, the latest leaks point to the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 launching in a desktop version too, meaning we could finally have a decent current-gen gaming PC that doesn't cost a silly amount of money. You play as two new protagonists: Leonard Brandon — a young fighter with the Church's ****** Wolves clan — and Alexander Kyteler, a knight of the Kingdom's White Stags. Together, they rise to defeat ****** Lord Elias’ reign of terror and shatter the chains of a kingdom tormented by evil forces. Created by Koji Igarashi, the mastermind behind classic games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, The Scarlet Engagement promises a "fresh cast of allies and foes" that will hint at "deep connections" with its predecessor, while remaining accessible to new players without prior knowledge of the game's intricate lore. Final Fantasy Tactics creator and director Yasumi Matsuno has opened up about how the game came to be, revealing he wrote the story to bring joy to those in an era "robbed of hope." Now, with the long-rumored Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles finally getting a release date later this year, Matsuno posted a heartfelt message to X/Twitter, saying he "offers this story once again," as though addressing the profound unrest and division plaguing us in 2025, too. "Nearly 30 years ago, the collapse of Japan's bubble economy engulfed the nation's financial institutions in mountains of bad debt, triggering a wave of corporate bankruptcies, a sudden and extreme rise in unemployment rates, and stagnation of Japanese society as a whole. It was an era when many were robbed of hope, when dreams were measured by their price tag. "Against this historical backdrop, I crafted a story," he added. "It was the story of Ramza, a young man who fought tirelessly against the entrenched social class system. It was the story of Delita, who sought to take advantage of this confusion and despair to advance his own social position. It was a story of a peculiar destiny, in which friendship and betrayal intertwine. Cyberpunk 2077 fans waiting for a sequel may have to wait a while longer if new rumors about a possible DLC prove to be true. The open-world RPG by CD Projekt RED was released back in 2020 to critical acclaim, despite a lot of criticism due to its poor performance issues at the time. The game’s launch was disastrous and left a stain on the studio’s reputation, which makes players concerned about The Witcher 4, too. Oblivion's a notoriously buggy game, so it probably shouldn't have been too much of a surprise that Oblivion Remastered was also pretty damn buggy. While a lot of those bugs are the kind of charming nonsense TES 4 is beloved for, Bethesda and Virtuos have now confirmed that the remaster's got two updates incoming to fix its more serious problems. Having scrolled through the patch notes for the first of these updates, which releases in Steam beta today, there's one fix that's stood out, because the thing it outlines has been haunting my dreams. In Sword Of The Sea you ride a magical blade across shifting dunes of golden sand. It looks like a combination of the jetbike desert-crossing of Sable and the meditative hiking of Journey. Which makes sense when you learn the art director from the latter game is leading the team. I like the look of it.
