  2. Nemesis is Retribution Incarnate and Melinoes central rival at the Crossroads in Hades 2. The daughter of Nyx is incredibly harsh towards Melinoe, although that doesnt seem to stop her from being a viable romance option for the Princess of the Underworld. Nemesis has a tough shell, but with enough Nectar anything is possible. View the full article
  3. The *********'s Creed series has had no shortage of memorable protagonists, but there are definitely some who made a better impression than others. With frequent game releases since 2007 that touch on a wide range of historical settings and stories, *********'s Creed has covered a lot of ground. Different cultural and narrative contexts offer a lot of variety in protagonist characterization, although there's a consistency in generally striving to be cool. View the full article
  4. An unlucky Fallout 4 player has been robbed by one of the game's many bugs and glitches, losing access to their valued suit of Power Armor. The glitch occurred following the conclusion of a Fallout 4 side quest, this time taking place in one of the Commonwealth's unique spots: The U.S.S. Constitution warship. View the full article
  5. Fortnite has long been easily playable on iOS, but Epic has confirmed it'll finally be returning to Apple devices in the second half of 2025. A few years ago, Apple removed Fornite from the App Store due to Epic letting users buy the battle royale's in-game currency elsewhere, circumnavigating the iPhone maker's 30% cut of all transactions. This then led to a big ole lawsuit between the pair, and currently the game is still not available on iOS. However, next year, that'll all change, as the official Fortnite Twitter account shared that both the game and the Epic Games Store will be coming to iOS in the *** in the second half of 2025. How is this possible? Well, it's all thanks to the ***'s Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers act. This particular act, as described on the *** government's own website, could "give consumers the room to freely choose the services they use, or stop companies from withholding information consumers need to make good decisions" as well as giving regulators "powers to intervene and direct a firm to change its behaviour to boost competition – whether that is to benefit people using smartphones or businesses dependent on cloud services." The tiefling is a well-loved companion, and the cosplay done by one Reddit user perfectly captures her intricate default clothing option and two-handed axe. View the full article
  10. If you have been struggling with certain elements of your collection in Wuthering Waves, it might be due to how hidden some goodies—like chests—are. Thankfully, there is an item you can get fairly early on that will tell you exactly where to look—and better yet, it is reusable. You may have a few empty slots in your Utility menu as you progress through the early section of Wuthering Waves. But you can fill one of them with an item called the Lootmapper, which acts as a reconnaissance drone when activated—highlighting a portion of your map to show exactly where hidden chests are located. 11. Trackers are a great tool you can use to measure your skills in Fortnite. If you’ve never used one before, let me show you the best Fortnite Trackers, what they are, and how to use them. What is a Fortnite Tracker?Fortnite Trackers allow you to deep-***** into your gameplay stats. You can usually access this information through an app. There are also plenty of websites you can use without downloading anything. Trackers can show you your K/D ratio, Win/Loss rate, and even match-specific information. Most of these services also show your ranking versus the rest of the world so you can see if you’re as good as you think you are.How to use a Fortnite TrackerThere are several Fortnite Trackers that all function a little differently. I’ve used the FortniteTracker.com website for years, so I’ll explain how it works and what all the numbers mean. I’ll recommend a couple of different Trackers later on in this guide, and they function pretty simil...View the full article
  12. Image: David Pierce / The Verge Hi, friends! Welcome to Installer No. 39, your guide to the best and Verge-iest stuff in the world. (If you’re new here, welcome, get ready for gadgets this week, and also, you can read all the old editions at the Installer homepage.) This week, I’ve been writing about Surfaces and other tablets, chatting with some internet friends about the fall of Red Lobster, reading about Magic: The Gathering and the history of emoji, watching MoviePass, MovieCrash, weeding my patio with a literal flamethrower, and for some reason, eating a lot of popcorn. Like, a lot of popcorn. I also have for you a bunch of cool new gadgets, a new YouTube channel you’re going to love, a new-old Mario game, a clever new AI tool for Windows, lots and lots of fun... 13. One of the core aspects of Fallout 4 is its settlement building system, which allows the Sole Survivor to clear neglected areas and turning them into thriving small towns. As well as needing food, water, and power, these settlements can be upgraded with defenses and eventually traders. While any settler can be assigned to a trading stall, there are several unique NPCs dotted around the commonwealth that, as well as enhancing the stock, are pretty cool to have around. 14. Between those massive Grand Theft Auto 5 missions, Payday, Teardown, and the first level in Saints Row The Third, heisting is one of my favorite videogame pastimes. Getting a bunch of pals together to (hopefully) coordinate the biggest score of your collective lives is no easy feat, so what if another group of players were trying to stop you at the same time? This is Perfect Heist 2, and it's having a short but sweet free play weekend alongside a hefty 50% off Steam *****. Read the rest of the story... View the full article
  15. You might have forgotten Skull and Bones, but it's back to remind you it exists with an upcoming free week. Oh boy. Skull and Bones was never going to come out to rave reviews, given just how many times it was delayed prior to its release. When it did finally launch in… February (yeesh, that really did just come and go, huh), it was ultimately met with quite average reviews, and on the physical sales front it sold less than a quarter of Sea of Thieves' launch figures, which doesn't sound great overall, even in a digital age. But perhaps all is not lost, as there is always the possibility Ubisoft will pull a No Man's Sky and actually bring Skull and Bones to the heights it could achieve (though I do doubt it). But even with that negative critical reception, it's always possible you want to try the game out for yourself, and you're in luck because from next week, it'll be available to play for free for an entire week! As detailed on Ubisoft's website, Skull and Bones is getting a free week from May 30 to June 6 where you can "battle your way through treacherous waters, as you rise to become the most infamous pirate captain!" It goes on to explain that "during this free week, you are free to play any content you want, whether it is to progress through the main storyline or tackle challenging content with your friends." On top of that, "every achievement, every treasure, and every ship upgrade you unlock during the free week will be waiting for you" if you decide to purchase the game after the trial ******* ends. 16. There are many glitches, cheat codes, and ways to change the game in Fallout 4, but this one in particular allows you to duplicate items and get unlimited XP. XP is used to boost your player stats and will enable you to do certain tasks or persuade certain people that you would not be able to otherwise. Having a big XP boost at the beginning of the game can make a significant difference for players just starting. View the full article
  17. Wuthering Waves has had a slightly rough launch, but some changes are coming that should bring some quality of life improvements. It's only been a few days since Wuthering Waves launched, and it's safe to say it hasn't been perfect - all those kind of hilarious visual bugs are a testament to that. But the dev team has at least outlined the known issues in the game, so it's not like fixes aren't coming for these sometime soon. However, for some players the issues don't just stop at the bugs. The official Wuthering Waves Twitter account has shared some other plans for updates that will be coming to the game based on feedback that players have offered for the game so far. First up is the ability to skip more cutscenes. In a post covering gameplay issues and the plan for future improvements, "We have received your feedback regarding the Skip function including 'not enough skippable scenes,' 'UI design of the Skip button not readable enough,' and 'the main quest storyline feeling lengthy,'" reads the post. "We plan to optimize your experience by introducing support for skipping all types of scenes in storylines and reviewing functions for storyline scripts and cutscenes." 18. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is a few months out still, but those of you with a mind for strategy might be happy to hear about a currently free game. Sure, strategy games aren't for everyone, but do you know what everyone does love? Free stuff! Particularly free games, considering how expensive they can be, and right now the 4X strategy game Warhammer 40K: Gladius - Relics of War is free across all the notable PC storefronts, including Steam, you can think of (thanks, PCGamesN). You'll want to act relatively quickly though, as it's only available for free until next week, Thursday, May 30, and once it's no longer free it'll ****** back up to $40 again (so you can see why the price of free is quite the bargain). In Warhammer 40K: Gladius, you can "play as one of four iconic Warhammer factions (Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orks or Necrons), each with their own unique playstyle and technology tree. Explore a randomly generated world filled with special features and threatening wildlife that can crush your troop's morale. Secure control of powerful ancient artefacts to grant you an edge against rival factions." On top of that you can build cities and fortifications to "expand your empire and produce an army to vanquish your foes" and each faction has its own unique storyline too. I'm not big into strategy games myself, but it certainly sounds like there's a lot on offer here. Read more View the full article

  20. Skin rental is now a thing with Counter-Strike 2’s May 24 update. Available so far on the sequel’s first-ever collection, the Kilowatt Case, players can rent skins for a week for the price of the case and a $2.50 USD key, and the community seems to be cautiously welcoming to Valve’s new model. ******* skin cases have been at the forefront of Counter-Strike’s revenue model since 2013. However, until the Kilowatt Case update, you’d have to spend cash on keys to open cases to get your shot at a desired ******* skin—unless you’d buy a particular skin from the community market or third-party websites. Depending on the drop rate of a certain skin within a case, and then the drop rate of the case as a whole, it wasn’t a rare sight to see a highly sought-after skin trading for hundreds of dollars. Now, however, the skin rental service lets subscribers access all skins within the collection for a week at a set price. View the full article
  21. Ubisoft’s contribution to the increasingly saturated shooter space XDefiant has gotten off to a strong start this week, and as a result of this player influx, executive producer Mark Rubin has shared a “PSA” to help out those who may be struggling with one of the game’s differentiators—it’s higher time-to-*****. XDefiant‘s roster of characters is varied in playstyle but across the board, they are beefier than many of their peers in rival titles like Call of Duty, which can make gameplay a bit hard to digest for those used to the game’s contemporaries. Fortunately, Rubin was there to help players out with a piece of sage advice on X (formerly Twitter) today: Aim for the head. View the full article

  23. Starfield has had a pretty contentious lifespan since the Bethesda-developed game launched in September of 2023. 24. In Baldur's Gate 3, the player can either help or sacrifice the Nightsong, Dame Aylin, but sacrificing her will result in players getting the Spear of Evening. Sparing her is the best choice in most playthroughs, as this will help Shadowheart toward the light and reward the player with Selne's Spear of Night. However, by sacrificing the Nightsong, you will instead earn Shar's Spear of Evening, one of the best weapons in the game. With Larian Studios working on a patch to bring new evil endings to the story, there isn't a better time to become the villain in Baldur's Gate 3. View the full article
  25. Talisman is a powerfully silly fantasy board game originally published by Games Workshop in 1983—its original inspiration was a game about teachers competing to become school principal—which has gone through several editions and publishers over the years.
