We all know Deltarune's age-old question: how do you find a chapter's secret ending and bosses? Sure, you can speedrun the chapter and get the game over with, but with how in-depth and complicated these secrets are, it's no wonder everyone wants to know how they work. Deltarune Chapter 3, in particular, is no joke. Not only do you need to show peak skill in completing the entire chapter, but it's very easy to miss this secret's numerous steps. Even forgetting to do one thing can lead to you restarting a good chunk of the chapter. There are major spoilers for Deltarune Chapter 3 below. If you haven't played through the chapter yet, proceed with caution! Table of contentsHow to find Deltarune Chapter 3's secret endingFinding the S-rank room's minigameFinding the Ice KeyHow to find Deltarune Chapter 3's secret ending Uncovering Deltarune's Chapter 3 secret ending requires getting three S-ranks during Tenna's game show. As you acquire S-ranks, you'll unlock access to an "S" labelled door that, upon entering, unveils a secret minigame containing special items. Below are the three initial items you'll find: Ice Key (After round one)Shelter Key (After round two)Shadow Mantle (After round three) Finding the first two keys lets you eventually find the Shadow Mantle, which you'll need to equip to survive against the chapter's secret boss, the Knight. Otherwise, anyone not wearing it will be continuously wiped out with a one-hit attack. You'll need to survive the battle and, after some time, inflict one final attack to receive your prize. You also won't have Susie or Ralsei to help you during the initial minigame. You, playing as Kris, will have to complete each segment of the minigame by yourself with no outside help. However, it mirrors the first round's map, making it easy to traverse if you have it fresh in your mind. Finding the S-rank room's minigame Before you can access the secret ending, you'll need to achieve your first S-rank and unlock the "S" labelled door on the top-right side of the Green Room. If you finish round one and receive an S-rank, head through this door to find a run-down set of dressing rooms, with the secret minigame room to your left. Screenshot by Destructoid Entering this room will reveal an "original" minigame that came before the version you played on Tenna's show. At first, you won't have a controller to play it, but leaving the room will reveal an "Odd Controller" on the floor. Pick it up and return to the previous room to start playing the original minigame. If you didn't achieve an S-rank initially, you have two options: replay this part of the chapter until you get one, or pay 1,500 points to the Point Merchant south of the Green Room. If you have 1,500 points, head out of the Green Room's south exit and follow the hallway until you find a golden Tenna statue. Turning right here will lead you to the merchant, who'll let you achieve S-rank immediately in exchange for 1,500 points. Now, you can access the "S" room without any issues. Finding the Ice Key During this first minigame, you'll play as Kris only, with no Susie or Ralsei to follow you. The map is almost identical to the one you played during the chapter's first round. Rather than exploring a map to get points, though, your job is to level up Kris by defeating enemies so you can be strong enough to find the Ice Key. What's the catch, then? you don't have a sword to fight them with. At least, not at first. You can find a sword by heading south from the map's entrance until you see a fish in a pond. From here, head left, south twice, east, then south one last time to find a staircase leading to your sword. With your new weapon in hand, it's time to grind levels. Screenshot by Destructoid Finding the Ice Key requires reaching max level with Kris. Defeating every enemy on the map, including fish, flowers, and those odd purple guys, will bring you to level three. Once you hit level three, head to the easternmost side of the map to find a long path leading to two cactus. By this point, you'll be strong enough to cut this down, letting you explore a new region and defeat its enemies for your final level. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you reach max level, head back to the path with the two cactuses. Standing in front of where the cactuses were, use your newfound strength to cut through the trees directly south of you. You'll need to continue this until you pass through around four to five screens. After some time, you'll find a treasure chest containing the Ice Key, knocking out the first of three items required to find Deltarune Chapter 3's secret ending and boss. This article is being updated over time as more information is revealed. The post How to get Chapter 3 secret ending in Deltarune appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
Sony's latest State of Play event came and went with no mention of Bungie's Marathon, which does not bode well for the upcoming extraction shooter. Marathon is the next game from award-winning studio Bungie, best known for the Halo and Destiny franchises. It's a sci-fi extraction shooter with an eye-popping art style, but the game's art style has actually landed it in some hot water. View the full article
IO Interactive has released the explosive first trailer for 007 First Light, the next in the long line of James Bond video games. James Bond has had a presence in the gaming industry for decades, and in fact, GoldenEye 007 is widely considered to be one of the most important games ever released. Other James Bond titles never quite reached the same heights as GoldenEye, but there have been plenty of great games based on the super spy. Whether 007 First Light is added to that list remains to be seen, but what's been shown so far looks promising. View the full article

Digimon fans might want to mark their calendars for October 3, as this is when Digimon Story: Time Stranger will finally launch. This latest foray into the Digital World of gaming and anime fame was first revealed earlier this year at a PlayStation State of Play livestream in February, with an action-packed trailer filled with classic Digimon creatures. Digimon Story: Time Stranger will task players with journeying between dimensions to save all of existence from a mysterious entity. The Nioh games were some of the first non-FromSoft Soulslikes to find their own audience, probably in part because they're not really Soulslikes at all. They're Team Ninja action RPGs, drawn from their wellspring of experience making such games, and despite Nioh's 2017 release date, it spawned from a project that began development all the way back in 2004, firmly pre-Souls. Why all the preamble, rather than getting straight into the news? Well, because the news is in the headline: Nioh 3 was just announced at this evening's State Of Play. Once again it looks like it's coming to PlayStation 5 at launch, with no PC release in sight. Read more View the full article

One of the most surprising, out-of-nowhere indie hits of the 2010s was undoubtedly Undertale, but its episodic spinoff, Deltarune, is just as highly regarded and beloved. Developer Toby Fox already released the first two episodes of Deltarune in 2018 and 2021, but the wait for Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 has been a long one. Now though, they're both here as part of the complete and 'final' version Deltarune. While it was always going to be a momentous occasion for the pixel art RPG, I'm completely blown away by just how high it's flying on Steam right now, rising above recent behemoths like Elden Ring Nightreign on the platform's best sellers list. Each time you venture around Castle Town in Deltarune, you'll uncover more questions than answers about what's going on, what secrets lie in this area, and how to find more information. If you've completed Chapter 3 and started exploring Castle Town, you'll spot a new and peculiar TV building. Inside this TV building, you'll encounter a room that you initially can't access called Mike's Room. It requires a special code to enter, but knowing what this is poses a major challenge. Let's find out what Mike's Room code is during Deltarune Chapter 4. What is Mike's Room code in Deltarune Chapter 4? Mike's Room code is 6453. You'll find phone numbers throughout the chapter that correspond to each number, allowing you to stitch together the code and discover the secrets beyond this door. After entering the new TV building and proceeding to the "Mike" door, you'll be given the option to enter this code and progress further. There is a possibility that multiple codes work for this particular door. For example, some players within the community have reported using different codes, such as 5962, to unlock this door. While 6453 worked for us, you can try using 5962 as an alternative in case the former doesn't work for you. At the time of writing, there is limited information available on the secret boss in Chapter 4 and other Easter eggs present in the chapter. While there is a high chance that Mike's room is linked to Deltarune Chapter 4's secret boss in some way, there is no official confirmation on this for the time being. Nonetheless, we, alongside the community, are actively working to uncover more secrets as the game continues to skyrocket in popularity following Chapters 3 and 4's official release. We'll continue updating this page as we discover more details. The post What is Mike’s Room code in Deltarune? appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Zenless Zone Zero is finally arriving for Xbox consoles this month, and I can’t wait to play the game on its new platform. The story of Zenless Zone Zero sets it apart from the other games in the developer’s roster, but in a good way. View the full article
