Bethesda has removed the ***** mod Thatcher's Techbase from its certified mod listings, apparently following a complaint from a user or users about the mod's subject matter being political. Thatcher's Techbase is built around attacking the hellish alt-universe lair of former *** Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who was in office from 1979 to 1990 and ***** in 2013, but has now been resurrected in "The Tenth Circle of *****: The ******* Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.".. There's a movement happening right now and I suspect it's caused by people who remember playing ****** & White reaching an age where they're able to devote time to making games. Sit down. I've got bad news. Helldivers 2's most recent Major Order, the one about collecting plastic so you could unleash some napalm barrages, well, folks have come up short in it. As they now get started on the fresh mission Arrowhead's just put in motion, some members of the player base have been busy dicussing why they think the quest to set stuff on ***** from orbit ended in defeat. The main conclusion they've come to so far? Well, aside from the long-established **** peeve of some players refusing to deviate from battling the bugs to take on an Automaton front MO with their brethren, the big reasons being cited probably won't be a surprise if you've been keeping up with the community over the last little while. In addition to plenty of players arguining that they'd started to see the napalm barrages as a lost cause long before it officially *******, despite the collective effort still managing to get decently close to completing it, looking through someReddit threads discussing the defeat, you'll find lots of players pointing to the ongoing unhappiness about the Escalation of Freedom update's nerfs and generally lower player numbers due to "general frustrations". Despite getting cancelled, Manny Jacinto has said one his biggest goals before he ***** would be to make The Acolyte season 2. Towards the end of last month, despite setting up some pretty significant events for the world of Star Wars as a whole, Disney made the choice to cancel The Acolyte, meaning there won't be a second season to even wrap up the several loose threads the first established. Thought you'd finally get to see Darth Plagueis in live-action after all these years? Nope! Which makes this a move that really shows how silly it is to try and world build to such a degree with far too many pieces of media these days. Still, it was clear that everyone that made The Acolyte really enjoyed working on it, including the cast, and during a panel at Dragon ****, Manny Jacinto made it clear how much he wants to keep working on it. When asked by a fan what a personal life goal of his is, in particular something he wants to do before he *****, Jacinto simply responded "season 2 of The Acolyte." This was met with a pretty big round of applause from the audience, showing that there is still at least some amount of hunger for the show to be continued. Read more View the full article
Independent *** developer Flaming Fowl Studio has announced its next project, a comedy sci-fi game. The developer, which was founded by former Lionhead staff who’d previously worked on the Fable series, has shed the first information on Konfronto, which it describes as “a sci-fi auto battler, pack-filled with more parodies and puns than an episode of Red Dwarf”. Unlike the original Splitgate, which featured a mishmash of different art styles, the sequel aims to be much more cohesive with its theme. The “sporty and positive” futuristic setting will be the unifying theme of Splitgate 2, but that doesn’t mean developer 1047 is planning to take the game’s lore too seriously. In an interview with PCGamesN, published Sept. 3, 1047 Games co-founder Ian Proulx ***** out the studio’s goals with the upcoming first-person shooter and lessons the team learned from the 2019 original. “The lore dictates everything in [Splitgate 2],” he said. “In Splitgate, there was no lore. It was just kind of like: ‘Let’s go make a cool game.’ Then you end up with an art style that doesn’t really [work], it’s not cohesive.” View the full article
