  1. Zenless Zone Zero has a vast roster of playable characters, with more consistently added in each update. Because of this, it’s important to know what the next banner is so you can save or spend your pulls accordingly. The nature of the gacha system means you have to carefully plan and decide how you want to spend all of your precious pulls. 2. According to tipster Jaykihn, the full 800-series lineup will include at least five different chipsets: Z890, W880, Q870, B860, and H810. Among these, Z890, B860, and H810 are aimed at consumers, while W880 targets workstations. Q870, on the other hand, is designed for enterprise devices. The ***** doesn't mention H870,... 3. It looks like we won’t get a remake of ***** Space 2 in the style of last year’s excellent do-over of the original limb-********* horror game, but it turns out that ***** Space isn’t completely, uh, ***** just yet. Though to what degree you could consider it alive and well - reanimated in a twisted form of its previous glory, perhaps - is another question entirely. Read more View the full article
  4. Dawntrail, the latest expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, has officially been out just three days, arriving earlier this week after a brief early access release. Despite its story and extra 10 levels spanning dozens of hours of playtime, that’s apparently been ample time for players to complain loudly enough about one of the expansion’s brand new jobs - so much so that Square Enix have already announced a set of incoming changes planned across the game’s next run of patches. 5. The Feast of the Winter Star can be a mixed bag for Stardew Valley players, especially when it comes to the event's signature "Secret Santa" showpiece but sometimes, one thoughtful individual can make the holiday incredibly special. The citizens of Pelican Town can be a fussy bunch when it comes to gifts but Feast of the Winter Star is the one time of year the tables turn as the Farmer can receive an in-person present. Many of the items gained through the Secret Santa process aren't anything to write home about, but one character goes out of their way. View the full article
  6. You can find multiple mounts to add to your growing collection as you explore Final Fantasy XIV. With the addition of the Dawntraili expansion, there are multiple unique mounts, such as the Automatoise. The Automatoise is a large, turtle-like creature you find as you explore one of the many dungeons in Dawntrail. Although it appears as an ******, the mount you unlock is a welcome friend, eager to lead you toward your next adventure. Tracking down the exact location to find it, though, can be a little tough. Here’s what you need to know about how to unlock the Automatoise mount in FFXIV. View the full article
  7. We never covered the original Nocturnal, an “intense 3-hour-long action-platformer” from Sunnyside Games, but the Steam user reception seems very positive for a pay-upfront game that actively describes itself as three hours long, and the just-announced sequel seems excellently awash with *****, darkness and ******. It’s a “fast-paced, juggle-based” 2D metroidvania that stands apart for a couple of reasons. Firstly, your character’s magic sword is also your means of illumination, and the levels are gloomy. And secondly, the whole “juggle-based” thing. Read more View the full article
  8. In Zenless Zone Zero, the free-to-play follow-up to Genshin Impact, your character steps out into the city hub and announces their daily ritual - to visit the scratchcard stand. This is on-brand. But, oh no, a wink to real life gambling could be interpreted as a transparent acknowledgement of the gacha genre's psychological claw machine, which is maybe why the developers decided the scratchcard stall should have a sole employee: a very cute dog. 9. There are several new weapons introduced in Shadow of the Erdtree. While most of these weapons can be found as simple drops from enemies, others can be ******* to find. One of the more missable weapons in the game is the Falx. This is how you can acquire it. Where to find the Falx in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree The Falx is a new Curved Greatsword introduced in Shadow of the Erdtree. Finding this ******* can be quite a complicated process if you don’t know where to begin. There are a few instances where you can acquire the Falx, and all of them involve playing through the Hornsent‘s questline in Elden Ring. This process takes you through a few areas, so it might take a while. View the full article
  10. Coffee Stain Studios’ much-loved factory building game Satisfactory has a version 1.0 release date: September 10, 2024. Satisfactory leaves early access after five years of development and an impressive 5.5 million copies sold, Coffee Stain Studios, which also developed Goat Simulator, said. Satisfactory is an open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat for up to four players. The game upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 this year. Here’s the official blurb: “Enterprising Pioneers are tasked with charting and exploiting a vast and diverse alien planet to construct and automate intricate multi-story factories. Players must also defend themselves against hostile alien lifeforms, automate vehicles, and research new technologies to keep improving their constructs.” 1.0 brings with it “premium plumbing”, which means the HUB’s “once trivial ******* has been updated with an advanced flushing mechanism, providing an extra luxurious worker experience for fans.” Check that out in the trailer below. Satisfactory entered early access in March 2019 and has received eight major updates and hundreds of smaller updates in the years since. The 5.5 million sales figure is the result of a sizeable community that continues to play now, and the 1.0 launch will surely see another jolt of interest. Wesley is the *** News Editor for IGN. 11. Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for the final boss of Elden Ring expansion Shadow of the Erdtree. Proceed with caution! Elden Ring expansion Shadow of the Erdtree comes with plenty of additional lore that ties up some of the base game's loose ends and threads many more, but its final boss didn't have a word of dialogue itself. That seemingly wasn't the original plan, however, as one player went digging into the files of Shadow of the Erdtree and found some cut dialogue that didn't make it into the final version. As reported by The Gamer, Reddit user LaMi_1 shared the brief snippets online, and though they don't give much away, the dialogue would ironically silence some of the complaints voiced by players upon finishing Shadow of the Erdtree. Final spoiler warning for Shadow of the Erdtree's final boss. Antagonist Miquella must take down the player to usher in a new age, so in true FromSoftware fashion, he summons some help to do so. Miquella brings in Radahn from the past, but not the weak, puny (incredibly difficult) version of Radahn from the base Elden Ring, but a ******* and stronger version now imbued with magic. Almost like a puppet, this Radahn doesn't speak but proceeds to ******** the player, somewhat ominously swinging his giant blade without saying a word. And this was seemingly a very deliberate creative decision as FromSoftware did record dialogue for the ******, even though some players complained of Radahn's silence, disappointed that what almost felt like an old friend had nothing to say. "I am Radahn," the cut dialogue began. "Born of red-maned Radagon, and Rennala of the Full Moon. A lion bred for battle." Elden Ring fans have weighed in on its significance, with LaMi_1 themselves admitting the dialogues are "very generic and don't reveal anything" but it would also "be cool to hear his voice." Tiloy22 leaned into that first point. "They may have cut it because it just wasn't impressive or important enough," they said. "It's very generic dialogue and Radahn never spoke, so him saying something 'meh' might lose the impact. It's like how people prefer for mute characters like Link [from The Legend of Zelda] to never speak." Shadow of the Erdtree, which arrived June 21, 2024, features bosses with which FromSoftware "really pushed the envelope" on what the player can withstand, director Hidetaka Miyazaki said ahead of its release. If you consider Radahn on of those, check out IGN's extensive guide for everything you need to know about Shadow of the Erdtree's new weapons, its various quest lines, and how to defeat the big man himself. In our 10/10 review of the expansion, IGN said: "Like the base game did before it, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree raises the bar for single player expansions," we said. "It takes everything that made the base game such a landmark RPG, condenses it into a relatively compact 20-25 hour campaign, and provides fantastic new challenges for heavily invested fans to chew on." Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter. He'll talk about The Witcher all day. View the full article
  12. It's fair to say that power supplies don't usually generate much buzz, with one ****** metal box usually being much like another, but Lian Li has just pulled a rabbit out of the hat with its latest PSU design. The new range of Lian Li Edge PSUs not only has a completely different shape from your usual PSU, but also brings some intriguing new features to the PC. This new PSU design takes the modular socket format used by many of the best power supplies right now, but gives it a big twist. Lian Li has made its new power supplies L-shaped, with the bottom of the L now housing all those sockets for modular cables, so they point upwards rather than outwards. Read the rest of the story... 13. I love a good city-building game, but I often get a bit overwhelmed with the sheer amount going on. People to please, resources to gather, politics to consider, sometimes even enemies to ****** - the likes of Cities Skylines 2 and Frostpunk slowly take their toll. That's why Dawnfolk feels like such a welcome alternative. It's got a fantastic new demo, and it reminds me of the base building parts of superlative roguelike Loop Hero: dark but cozy. 20. The space industrialism of Satisfactory is distinct from other efficiency sims about making endless conveyor belts in two important ways. One: it's a mash-up with the first-person survival genre that sees you stranded on an alien planet, a la Subnautica. Two: there is a dedicated coffee cup item from which you can leisurely sip. It's been in early access since 2019 and, hey, it's rather good. We knew developers Coffee Stain were planning a 1.0 release this year. But more concrete details from management have finally trickled down to the little guy. Version 1.0 will hit stores on September 10th, they say. The complete version will include flushable toilets, a "much sought after addition to the game", we're told. Read more View the full article
