The Batman was neither extremely grounded nor a colorful comic book take on the (DC) world's greatest detective. As a direct answer to both Christopher Nolan's notable trilogy and Zack Snyder's half-baked take on the character, Matt Reeves' own approach to Bruce Wayne and his vigilante persona was gritty and slightly stylized, but its dark feet were still firmly planted in reality. According to him, that won't change in the sequels. During a chat with SFX magazine (via Deadline), the filmmaker, now deep into The Batman: Part II's writing process, doubled down on the idea of toying with the comics' rich mythology without going too fantastical, as James Gunn's rebooted DCU continuity will be doing that anyway with Batman: The Brave & The Bold. "What was important to me was to find a way to take these pop icons, these mythical characters that everybody know, and translate it so that Gotham feels like a place in our world. We might push to the edge of the fantastical but we would never go into full fantastical. It’s meant to feel quite grounded," he explained. Not long after Deadlock was confirmed, stat-tracking websites started cropping up, but it seems Valve doesn’t want them just yet. This comes from ws, the developer behind Deadlock stat site Tracklock. “Valve’s turned on even more aggressive rate limits and now there are no new games being tracked,” announced ws in the site’s Discord server on Sept. 5. Mountaintop Studios has already been forced to lower Spectre Divide‘s skin prices a little under 12 hours after the game’s launch as players took to review pages to ***** the game. BobNSwap, the game director for Spectre Divide, addressed the massive player backlash in a Sept. 4 blog post by first apologizing for the over-priced ******* skins and bundles in the store. In the same post, the developer lowered the skins’ prices by up to 25 percent, with the Cryo Kinesis Masterpiece bundle now available for 7,000 SP (around $65), down from 9,000 SP (approximately $85). The Illuminate appear to (finally) be set for a huge comeback in Helldivers 2, based on a quick mistake the Arrowhead Game Studio developers have done their best to hide. Helldivers 2 players have reported looking through the game’s map and spotting hints of the Illuminate today. While selecting other Helldivers 2 map areas, active ****** factions such as Terminids and Automatons are labeled and highlighted in their respective colors with their own insignia.
