Witch Hat Atelier finally got its first anime trailer at Anime Expo last week, and it's looking incredible, even if the studio behind it might be cause for concern. It's finally happened, folks: the Witch Hat Atelier anime is still in the works, and the first trailer arrived last week. Many fans of the very good manga series have been worried for some time now considering there's been pretty much zero news since its announcement in 2022, but the first trailer has come out running with a beautifully animated trailer that captures the feel of the original comic pretty much perfectly. The studio behind the upcoming adaptation was finally confirmed too, Bug Films, who you probably haven't heard of given that this is its second full series, but you might know through 2023's Zoom 100: Bucket List of the *****. That name might strike some ***** into the hearts of those familiar with the series, as it was plagued with some serious production issues - episodes were delayed multiple times, resulting in a 12 episode series that started in July only finishing at the end of December. Still, Zom 100 was a good looking show, so if Bug Films manage to get the kinks ironed out, we should be in for a treat with this one. Read more View the full article

While there's still very much an MO to be getting on with in Helldivers 2 - in fact, the latest one is set to end in just over an hour's time as of writing - one discovery has been attracting a lot of attention in the community over the past day or so. It's the lifesaving mid-fall emote, and even Arrowhead's CEO thinks it's cool. As we reported yesterday, while the ability to emote while flying through the air has been a known thing in the game for a few months, the fact that making your diver go rigid by adopting a pose like doing a salute or offering a hug can seemigly decrease the amount of fall damage you take by a significant amount wasn't. Naturally, because this is such a funny way to avoid having your ragdolling soldier **** when they splat back onto the surface, players on Reddit have urged Arrowhead not to patch it out of the game in a future update, even if it is technically an example of a system not doing what it should. EA has announced plans to essentially split Apex Legends' battle passes in two, meaning there'll now be two shorter ones per season. Oh, and they'll also only be avialable for real money, rather than being purchasable using Apex Coins. Players aren't fans of these proposed changes, as you'd expect. The plans, which are currently slated to kick off with Season 22, were outlined in a blog post. Basically, the gist is that rather than one season-long battle pass as has been the case up until now, the game will offer two half-season ones, with one kicking off the season and another taking over at its halfway point. The big sticking point is that this switch is being deployed alongside another big one - battle passes will no longer be buyable using in-game Apex points, instead each costing $9.99 each that you won't have the option to simply earn by playing the game.
