  1. She makes up for what Haze lacks in bulk in stealth and damage output with her best build in Deadlock. Combined with enviable speed, the hero can easily turn invisible to ******* and evade. Although she's especially frail in the early stages of the game, there are steps you can take to level her best abilities and complement her build with beneficial items. View the full article
  2. The wait for Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 feels like it gets longer every day, even with new seasonal content in Modern Warfare 3 to tide players over. But for some, they can’t help but look back at MW3 and hope that some of its mistakes are not repeated in BO6, including one that came up in a recent conversation by a gamer who made a really good point that I hadn’t thought of. 4. Turn-based combat is a staple of Dungeons & Dragons but for those Baldur's Gate 3 fans who prefer something a little faster, this new mod should be perfect. While it's almost always necessary in a table-top format where it's important that players don't constantly speak over one another, turn-based combat is a divisive system in video games. When handled correctly, it's tactical and rewarding but when ********* poorly, it's slow and tedious; While Baldur's Gate 3 falls into the former camp, it's undoubtedly missing the pace of something like Dragon Age. 8. Sony's latest heavy hitter to reach the PC, **** of War Ragnarök, is experiencing minor turbulence. The word on the port itself is mostly good so far—some folks are having technical issues and others cite a possible memory *****—though easily the loudest piece of negative feedback on Ragnarök's Steam page is that pesky PSN sign-in requirement, contributing to a "Mixed" rating... 9. In the hours I've spent stripping planet Massage-2(Ab)b of resources to pour down the poorly optimized maw of my wretched Satisfactory production lines, my movement has only ever been clumsy. Getting around my base is a barely-directed stumble across gnarled conveyor belts. When I venture beyond my tangled sprawl, I'm trudging along with slapdash platform staircases and ill-advised jump pads. But thanks to the Satisfactory subreddit, I've seen a better, faster, more graceful way to navigate the early game on my way towards higher-tier transit tech—one where my feet will never have to touch the ground. Provided my materials last, of course... Read more.View the full article
  10. Image: Riley Testut The excellent Delta emulator for iOS is going to get even better: sometime soon, the app will get support for online multiplayer in Nintendo DS games, according to Delta developer Riley Testut. Testut’s post about the feature includes a video of a Mario Kart DS race between two people being played on the emulator, and it immediately transported me back to playing the game on my own DS many years ago. [Hidden Content] Nintendo shut down the DS’s online services way back in 2014, so we asked Testut how the online services will work. “It’s based on melonDS’ online support, which connects to 3rd-party Nintendo [Wi-Fi Connection] servers (such as Kaeru, Wimmfi, AltWFC, etc),” Testut tells The Verge. “This means all 10 million+ Delta users will be able to... 11. It’s a gamer’s worst nightmare: Starting your gaming session after a long day, only to be kicked from your match out of nowhere. And Roblox‘s error code 267 is a tricky one that appears in different forms. You might find the error code 267 when the game has trouble loading your data, when a malicious script is detected on your side, when an admin script kicks you out, when you’re banned, when your internet connection is having issues, and even when servers are down. So how do you know? View the full article
  12. X/Twitter will have to comply with a subpeona regarding the identities of several Genshin Impact leaker accounts after a federal judge ruled against the social media platform's attempt to throw it out. The news comes from Torrent Freak and Stephen Totilo's Game File newsletter, detailing the latest in miHoYo's crackdown on leakers. Cognosphere, the miHoYo-owned publisher of Genshin Impact, filed the subpeona last fall, attempting to force X Corp. to “disclose the identity, including the name(s), address(es), telephone number(s), and e-mail addresses(es)” behind four popular leaker accounts: @HutaoLoverGI, @GIHutaoLover, @HutaoLover77, and @FurinaaLover. NEW(ish): A court has ruled that X/Twitter must comply with a subpoena issued last fall to unmask the identities of accounts leaking Genshin Impact info X had raised 1st Amend. and California right of privacy concerns it wanted a court to weigh in onhttps://t.co/euVcwG9w8w [Hidden Content] — Stephen Totilo (@stephentotilo) September 23, 2024 As Totilo notes, three of the accounts are currently suspended. The only one that isn't, @furinaalover, has deleted all but one of the posts on their X/Twitter account. According to Torrent Freak's report, Cognosphere believes that one person controlled all four leaker accounts. In filing the subpeona, Cognosphere argued that the leakers had infringed on its copyright in the publishing of previously unreleased material. X/Twitter, however, attempted to quash the subpeona on First Amendment and privacy grounds, asking the court in a previous filing if Cognosphere's request was “sufficient to satisfy any First Amendment free speech safeguards applicable to the anonymous speakers." X/Twitter asked for a legal process that would ensure the leakers' First Amendment and privacy rights were not being infinged upon, mantaining "that a Court needs to decide these issues.” U.S. magistrate judge Peter Kang, however, ruled for the Northern District of California that X/Twitter must comply with Cognosphere's request, saying that there is "no First Amendment right to commit copyright infringement.” It's only the latest in MiHoYo's handling of leakers. Last February, miHoYo filed a separate subpeona targeting three other other leaker accounts on similar copyright infringement grounds. 13. Free throws are called that because they’re supposed to be a guaranteed bucket, but knocking these down can be challenging if you have a poor release. Equipping one of the best free throw animations in NBA 2K25 is a huge leap toward not bricking crucial shots. Animations define every single action your MyPLAYER makes on the court and are almost as crucial to success as your actual inputs. Bad animations can significantly hamper your performance, and no one wants to lose through no fault of their own. Free throws are just a fraction of the arsenal of animations in NBA 2K25, which includes actions as seemingly mundane as how you walk and run down the court. View the full article
  14. In GTA Online, players can engage in Gang Attacks during their free roam of San Andreas. Gang Attacks are only unlocked at Rank 18 via Martin Madrazo, who will call the player character and introduce the optional side missions. Martin informs the player that he needs a few hideouts to be wiped out, but he’s more concerned with tying up loose ends than retrieving any loot stashed there. As such, anything the player finds during the raid, they can keep. There are various gang locations on the GTA 5 map, which are highlighted by a red area. View the full article

  16. Kingdom Two Crowns is the latest entry to one of the most unique strategy series around. Instead of the broader viewpoint of a more traditional take on the genre like Civilization 7 or Total War Pharaoh, Kingdom takes place from the perspective of a ruler, sitting atop a horse, who rides back and forth across a side-scrolling landscape to build structures and manage the lives of their subjects. Fortunately for fans of the series, Two Crowns is about to become a lot ******* now that a new DLC titled Call of Olympus has been announced for a quickly approaching launch date. 17. **** of War Ragnarok is finally out on PC. While that does come with the benefits of the platform’s capabilities, it also exposes the game to all the potential vulnerabilities that come with it. One such issue is the game using your integrated GPU instead of the dedicated one. The PC version of the **** of War (2018) sequel gives you access to tons of fresh features, like Ultra-widescreen (21:9) and Super ultra-widescreen (32:9) support, unlocked frame rates at 1440p and 4k resolutions, as well as modding support. But reviews on Steam have been “mixed” since its release, which was primarily due to the game asking for a PSN account. View the full article

It certainly hasn't been without flaw, however, and the continued work on the game could help it realize the full extent of its potential. View the full article
