All good things must come to an end, or so the saying goes, even though you don't always want them to. But, unfortunately that is the case for the beloved comedy mockumentary series What We Do in the Shadows, which will be wrapping things up with its sixth and final season later this year. And by later this year, I mean just three months away, as FX has finally set the premiere date for this final season: October 21. It's obviously very seasonally appropriate, with Halloween right around the corner, and apparently it will arrive with three episodes right off the bat (pun very much intended). After that, it will stick to a weekly schedule for a total of 11 episodes, with every episode airing on Hulu the next day. Sorry to international fans, though, as there doesn't appear to be an international release date just yet, but they will air on Disney+ whenever they are released in other territories. It’s been a few months since Project L, the League of Legends fighting game, changed its name to 2XKO, and players are still wondering why that name changed. The announcement happened back in February 2024, when Riot revealed the new name, confirmed a playtest and a release date of 2025, and a handful of new details. Lycoris Recoil, one of 2022's most popular anime original series, is getting a miniseries to help tide you over while you wait for season 2. Most of the time, anime that aren't based on manga don't end up being nearly as popular as series that are, but in 2022 Lycoris Recoil beat the odds. It was so good that even Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima couldn't help but sing its praises, and he even got matching shirts to wear with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn (who is also obviously the face model of Heartman in ****** Stranding). If you're reading this, Kojima - or if you're just a fan of the anime - I have some good news! The official ********* Twitter account for Lycoris Recoil announced yesterday that a six-episode miniseries focusing on the daily lives of Chisato, Takina, and others is on the way. Lycoris Recoil director Shingo Adachi will be supervising the six episodes, with each of them featuring different people on directorial and storyboarding duties. Of all the Nintendo games getting the remake and remaster treatment throughout the Switch generation, one metallic little charmer has gone mainly ignored. The last time Chibi-Robo starred in a game was back in 2015 with Chibi-Robo Zip Lash on the 3DS, and since then there’s been nothing. Part of this may be down to the apparent dissolution of Skip Ltd, the studio that was responsible for the Chibi-Robo series. All 36 employees of Humble Games publishing have reportedly been ***** off. According to business developer Nicola Kwan, staff were informed at 9am this morning, and told that “the company is shutting down.” Humble dispute this in a statement made to Game Developer, claiming that the publishing label is "undergoing restructuring," as opposed to a full shutdown.
