  4. In general, the PvP experience of Soulsborne games is either loved or hated, and with all the new weapons added by Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the dynamics of PvP seem to be constantly shifting. Some weapons are completely overtuned for PvP, like the Backhand Blade and the Ash of War: Swift Slash outrageous hit boxes, but are a lot less useful in PvE situations. Others are great for PvE, because of high damage, but are easy for an actual person to dodge, such as the heavily telegraphed Carian Grandeur. View the full article

  10. If you've ever been left frustrated by the mere 24GB of VRAM in an RTX 4090D or found the pathetic 16GB attached to an RTX 4080 Super to be utterly below you, there could be a solution available, if you're resourceful. That's because one ******** Cloud AI company has been shown using these GPUs but with double their normal VRAM allocation. So, if you ask really, really nicely, they might sort you out with a new double VRAM Nvidia graphics card too. Nvidia isn't set to release any new best graphics card contenders until the much anticipated RTX 5000 series launch at the tail end of this year or start of next year. However, it seems that hasn't stopped this unnamed company from finding its own way to eke out even more performance from its Nvidia cards. Read the rest of the story... 11. Of all the places you've visited, castles you've built, and houses you've decorated, which videogame location feels like your actual home? I'll always have a soft spot for Skyrim's Solitude. I also spent an enormously long time perfecting Ezio's house in *********'s Creed 2. But Reka takes home comforts to a new, unique level. Part fantasy RPG, part crafting and building game, and definitely inspired by Valheim, in Reka, your domicile is also a living creature and your best companion. With traces of Mirror's Edge and Tomb Raider (more on that later), if Reka's piqued your interest, its Steam Early Access release is thankfully coming soon. Read the rest of the story... 15. The next tribes to be added to Genshin Impact 5.1 have been leaked, even before the official reveal of the region of Natlan itself. Version 5.0, which should arrive in late August for the action RPG by HoYoverse, will finally introduce the first portion of Natlan. The Nation of Pyro is known for being split into tribes and, as seen in previous leaks, these tribes are related to the elemental Saurians that each group reveres. 19. Ahead of the full release next week, a ****** Myth Wukong benchmarking tool has gone live on Steam, and it's free to download. This will allow you to test your gaming PC and find the perfect settings before you play the full game, and I've been left impressed with the results that have come through so far, even though it fails to offer a peek at combat performance. I'm not using the very best graphics card you can buy for this testing, instead I'm using the same Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 that we use for general game settings tests. 22. On the surface, Ark: Survival Ascended's Aberration DLC may not feel massively different from the base game, but it has its fair share of significant changes. Ascended has seen the franchise's Scorched Earth and The Center updates upgraded for the remaster, but change very little. The most notable change, other than new dinosaurs, is the intense heat mechanic brought by the Desert map. However, intense heat tends to be the most disliked feature of the franchise and brings down the overall popularity of Scorched Earth. View the full article
