  1. The upcoming cooperative roguelike RPG Mother Machine is currently in development by Maschinen-Mensch and features gameplay of several little chaos gremlins looking to help their ****** maker. Set thousands of years in the future on a planet that has almost entirely ***** out, a powerful AI has learned how to create life and considers herself a mother to these unique creatures. Of course, she also doesn't seem to mind sending these gremlin children to their deaths in search for resources for her. View the full article
  2. When it comes to survival-horror games on Steam, it can be difficult for indie creators to stand out from the crowd and define what makes their take on the genre unique from the plethora of alternative experiences on the storefront. Midnight Forge's Nowhere is the latest game to attempt to carve out its niche in a hyper-competitive market and, if the demo is anything to go by, it could have a profound effect on players. Unfortunately, the preview build is incomplete and barebones, making the idea of Nowhere far more compelling than the actual game. View the full article
  3. As long-time readers will know, I'm a piteous mark for weird little game guys. I’m currently trying to puzzle out what the titular Mother Machine in The Curious Expedition studio Maschinen-Mensch’s upcoming co-op platformer refers to. But, if it’s a reference to forming a parental bond with what the game has saw-me-comingishly named “chaos gremlins”, I'm way ahead of you. Ah, the press release speaketh! Probably should have read some more before I began exclaiming “Chaos Gremlins!” over and over. Have an announcement trailer. Read more View the full article
  4. Following much debate on the matter of erotica photos being removed from the ***** Rising Deluxe Remaster, Capcom has issued a statement on its removal. This statement, attributed to the ***** Rising Deluxe Remaster development team, offers some insight into Capcom's decision not to include the feature in the Deluxe Remaster, with the company arguing that it is not an appropriate reward for survival, and not a skill required from a journalist in Frank’s position. The statement reads as follows: “When developing ***** Rising Deluxe Remaster, we tried our best to create a game that would please returning core fans and appeal to new players alike. As development progressed, we inevitably discovered that we couldn’t include everything from the original game. In the case of the Erotica points system, this was something we discussed at length and decided to remove; not so much as a response to a changing cultural climate, but because we felt there is no need to have a reward points system on this basis. “Additionally, when considering Frank’s situation, it is not an appropriate reward for survival and not a skill required of a journalist trying to stay alive for the next 72 hours during a zombie apocalypse. However, players will still have the right to choose their picture subjects freely, and even though they won’t receive points, it is up to them to decide what photos they will take to represent their journey.” Read more View the full article
  5. Enlarge / He's gesturing towards a PC port that's just out of frame. Trust me. (credit: Rockstar Games) [/url] Rockstar Games fans who don't traffic in game consoles have been waiting over 5,200 days to play the original Red ***** Redemption on PC (even as the PC port of its sequel approaches its fifth anniversary). PC gamers' long wait for a port may soon be over, though, as some promotional copy for the PC version of the game has been briefly leaked online. The suggestive verbiage comes from the PlayStation Store of all places, which as of Tuesday morning described Red ***** Redemption as "now on PC for the first time ever" on the page for the game's 2023 PS4 rerelease. While the language has now been reverted to a more generic description, archived copies of the site from just hours ago include some details of what we can expect of the jump from console to PC: Featuring the complete single-player experience of both games [RDR and Undead Nightmare, from previous context], including bonus content from the Game of the Year edition, Red ***** Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound. Red ***** Redemption does not feature multiplayer content. [Hidden Content] The PC port promo copy that appeared on the PlayStation Store page for Red ***** Redemption Tuesday morning. (credit: [Hidden Content]) It's hard to know exactly why a description of a PC port would show up on a Sony store page, but it's easy to picture someone in the PR chain pasting in the wrong platform's promotional copy when updating something on the back end. 8. Been waiting to find out when Blue Exorcist season 4 is going to be released? Great news, Aniplex has finally announced it, alongside the season's ending theme. More than a decade ago, when Blue Exorcist first aired, it was (unsurprisingly) a lot more popular than it is now. The series definitely lost a lot of momentum due to the fact that the second season released a whole six years after the first in 2017, and it was another seven years after that that season 3 was released, back in January of this year. It's been known for a little while that the wait for season 4 thankfully wouldn't be nearly as long, with an October release window, and earlier today Aniplex finally put a specific date to it: October 5. That date announcement came with a brief new trailer set to this season's ending theme, which you can check out below. This upcoming fourth season will take place over two cours, the first being the Beyond the Snow Saga, which will then be followed up by the Blue Night Saga. That second one is set to air sometime in January 2025, and the constant home of most anime Crunchyroll will have it for streaming. The ending theme, which you can listen to partially in the trailer, is called "Tsurara" and is performed by Yobahi, and sounds suitably emotional at the very least. Read more View the full article

  13. In general, the PvP experience of Soulsborne games is either loved or hated, and with all the new weapons added by Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the dynamics of PvP seem to be constantly shifting. Some weapons are completely overtuned for PvP, like the Backhand Blade and the Ash of War: Swift Slash outrageous hit boxes, but are a lot less useful in PvE situations. Others are great for PvE, because of high damage, but are easy for an actual person to dodge, such as the heavily telegraphed Carian Grandeur. View the full article

  19. If you've ever been left frustrated by the mere 24GB of VRAM in an RTX 4090D or found the pathetic 16GB attached to an RTX 4080 Super to be utterly below you, there could be a solution available, if you're resourceful. That's because one ******** Cloud AI company has been shown using these GPUs but with double their normal VRAM allocation. So, if you ask really, really nicely, they might sort you out with a new double VRAM Nvidia graphics card too. Nvidia isn't set to release any new best graphics card contenders until the much anticipated RTX 5000 series launch at the tail end of this year or start of next year.
