If you're after one of the best gaming keyboards, this will inevitably come with a sizable price tag, but the Glorious GMMK Pro 75% brings a lot to the table to try and justify its cost, and we have to agree that it's well worth the outlay at this new ***** price. 2. Microsoft is introducing a new Compact Mode for the Xbox Game Bar to improve its compatibility with handheld devices that run Windows. This comes off the back of news that Valve is readying SteamOS to be available for the ROG Ally. It's no secret that the Windows operating system is a major drawback for gaming handhelds thanks to its general lack of interface optimization for use on a small touchscreen device with game controllers as your main inputs. I even noted this in my Asus ROG Ally X review, where it ended up being the one big issue with an otherwise quite remarkable device. Read the rest of the story... 5. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has been delayed to February 11, 2025. This information first came out through an Embracer Group financial report, but later was addressed directly by Warhorse Studios in a video posted to social media. The original release date was a general 2024 window, but has been pushed back to the week of Valentine's Day, which is nice for medieval couples out there. Funnily enough, this is very close to the day when original game came out: February 13, 2018. The financial report features a statement from Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors, which states: "Our teams are committed to making and delivering better games. Our highly anticipated game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, is now confirmed for global release on February 11, 2025, which we believe enables some final polish and a better release window. We look very much forward to Gamescom next week to share more details about this game and other titles." As for that video from Warhorse Studios, the messaging is slightly different. In it, Toby from Warhorse Studios states that the development team aimed for a 2024 release date but didn't quite make it. "We almost made it, almost. But almost isn't good enough though, so unfortunately we slipped to 2025. However, at least we have we have real precise release date now, which is February 11, 2025." Read more View the full article
  6. Some Diablo 4 players are unhappy with the Conduit Shrine and suggest replacing it with the version found in Diablo 3. Shrines are magical structures that players find in every game in the Diablo franchise. It's no different with Diablo 4, and players will find a variety of shrines that enhance their gameplay. 7. I was all set to plunge into Blackbird and Gearbox's Homeworld 3 this spring when I received a slightly underwhelmed intergalactic transmission from Nic, praising the game's atmosphere and story while ruminating over fussy controls and a want of tactical depth. Like a herd of frigates scenting a pride of destroyers lurking behind a nearby asteroid, I rerouted hastily and took up a holding position approximately one astronomical unit from the Buy button, hoping that the developers might iron out a few of the wrinkles. 12. Kicking off the new Monopoly GO Partner event is the 50-milestone Rocket to Success two-day event, featuring Partner tokens, flash events, Dice rolls, and Sticker packs. The Monopoly GO Rocket to Success event runs from Aug. 15 to 17, and you can use Pickup tokens to earn milestone points. Pickups are one of my favorite objectives for an event. Tokens are randomly placed around the Monopoly GO board. Landing on one earns you milestone points that are applied to rewards like Partner tokens. View the full article

  14. Universal's Dark Universe, to be based on all if its classic monster properties, was a massive misfire after 2017's dreadful reboot of The Mummy (which even Tom Cruise's antics couldn't save) fell short of franchise-building expectations and got panned by critics and audiences alike. That didn't stop Universal from trying again with a simpler, director-driven approach to reviving old horror properties, and the Creature from the ****** Lagoon is next in line to be modernised. We're still waiting to see how the upcoming Wolf Man reboot pans out, but 2020's pre-Covid Invisible Man reboot was a compelling and meaningful update of the original horror concept, so there's some juice to this renewed strategy of standalone horror flicks which simply let each filmmaker reimagine monsters we've known for decades. 1954's Creature from the ****** Lagoon continues to be one of those traditional monster movies that pop up every now and then in remake conversations, and now Deadline is reporting that horror veteran James Wan, who's also tackled huge blockbusters like Furious 7 and the two Aquaman movies, might be the filmmaker diving head first into those dark waters. 15. We cover a lot of strategy games at PCGamesN - between Cities Skylines 2, the upcoming Frostpunk 2, updates to Stellaris, Manor Lords, and dozens more, it's been a busy 18 months. And then, despite all this competition and would-be new blood, Firaxis confirms Civilization 7 and reminds everyone that it's still, after 33 years, top of the genre food chain. Civ 6 is excellent; the sequel should be even better. But while we wait for launch, Firaxis just made its upcoming 4X opus sound even more promising by confirming that one aggravating feature will be cut entirely. Read the rest of the story... 16. It's no secret that I have a long, winding history with the Dragon Age franchise. I cite Origins as one of the few games that really did change the course of my life, and Inquisition as my first real taste of what a sprawling, MMO-style RPG could be. Since Summer Game Fest and Veilguard's official reveal, I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for more news about its launch. Following Bioware's announcement that the official date would be revealed during a showcase on Thursday August 15, the Dragon Age: The Veilguard launch date has leaked - and it's soon. 18. Act Three of Baldur’s Gate 3 has the most places of interest by far, with many related to your party members’ personal stories. This is the case for the House of Grief, as the building is essential to completing Shadowheart’s storyline. 22. Over 2000 hours spent in various factory games makes me a bit of a purist, I suppose. In theory, I should then be the ideal reviewer to enjoy Shapez 2. But I'm also the ideal reviewer to tear it apart over the most minor hiccups and defects. I'm the Anton Ego of factory games. I don't like food, I love it. If I don't love it, I don't ********. Ah, you needn't worry. This is by far the most fun I've had reviewing a game, and Shapez 2 has, in my mind at least, turned the holy trinity of factory games (Factorio, Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere Program) into a holy quartet. Its pared back, everything-is-free-forever approach is quite liberating, and I've never had so much fun placing conveyor belts in my life. But 40 hours into my save file, I've often found myself yearning for a bit more creativity in the challenges, a few more curveballs sent in my direction.
