A new World of Warcraft cinematic trailer titled Alleria Light and Shadow dropped on Aug. 15, showcasing Alleria Windrunner’s wild tale leading up to The War Within. Slated to release through early access on Aug. 22, The War Within is WoW‘s newest expansion. Bungie announces that following an update on August 20, Xur will be able to sell the exotic class items for Destiny 2 players. Destiny 2 players are getting another source of Exotic class items soon—and without needing to redo Dual Destiny. Xûr, the weekly vendor, will have a chance of bringing those items each week starting at the end of the month, Bungie confirmed today. Bungie is changing Xûr’s inventory to “make room each week for either an Exotic class item or an Exotic Cipher” starting with next week’s Update 8.0.5.2, Bungie wrote in today’s This Week in Destiny (TWID) blog post. When he does bring the Prismatic-exclusive item, you can buy a random roll for 41 Strange Coins. I'll be honest: initially, I was pretty sceptical about New World: Aeternum. While I plowed hours into the base MMORPG when it released back in 2021, it never quite sunk its claws into me in the same way that World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy 14 did. While I loved the juxtaposition of the 17th-century setting and the colorful Fable-esque magic, the grind just got a little too much for me and I fell off pretty quickly.
