Its unique setting that blends a gothic-era crisis with cosmic horror leads to a singular story that captivates me and keeps me going. Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is no doubt a love letter to JRPGs. You'll find the DNA of genre classics like Final Fantasy, Suikoden, and Lost Odyssey all throughout the French studio's work, and that's by design. E33 is begging you to make connections to the games it's built on top of, and from my time with it, this only enhances the overall experience. When Expedition 33 first came out, there were a lot of comparisons to Atlus's own landmark RPG series, and now Sandfall's creative director Guillaume Broche acknowledges how much of an impact it had on development. The Splitgate 2 beta presents a multiplayer shooter that takes from the best. It's got gunplay to rival Halo 3, movement to challenge Titanfall 2, and portal tech that'll put Valve to shame. If you're fired up about the new Patch 8 subclasses and are ready to dive into another playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3, there's one secret area you need to put on your list of places to visit in Act 3 called The Jungle. You'll be able to access this area once you enter the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington and first enter Act 3. Capcom is planning to further strengthen its game development capabilities by building a new base next to its current headquarters in Osaka, Japan. The new building is planned for completion in 2027, the company said in a financial call this week (reported by [Hidden Content]), and Capcom also intends to acquire land nearby to build a future development base.
