The Rubik’s Cube has been reinvented with more games and many more screens for much more money. What has long been cherished as a simple toy yet complex puzzle requiring nothing but a healthy amount of twisting, turning, and patience has been rebooted for the 21st century. Naturally, that calls for a few dashes of technology. Differing from the original Rubik’s Cube, which has six faces that each contain a 3×3 grid, the Rubik’s WOWCube, made available for preorder today, as spotted by The Verge, has six faces with 2×2 grids. Ask anyone about the current state of Ubisoft, and the most optimistic answer you'll get is probably a sigh. While flagship franchises like Assassin's Creedhave had their ups and downs, most fans won't attest that they're currently the best they've ever been. I'm actually fond of Assassin's Creed Shadows and Mirage, but I'm not going to argue that either could go toe-to-toe with Assassin's Creed 2. View the full article

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news: to celebrate the upcoming video game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, LEGO has announced four new Batman LEGO sets, and each one comes with a code for in-game DLC. They're all up for preorder now. The bad news? They’re not coming out until March 1, 2026. But three of them are iterations of the Batmobile, and some of them may just end up in our list of the best Batman LEGO sets. Let's take a look, and you can lock in whichever set(s) you want right now. Featured in this article As mentioned above, all of the sets are associated with the upcoming video game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which is scheduled to release sometime in 2026. Each of the Batmobile sets comes with a code for a gold variant of that vehicle in the game. The Batman Logo set gets you a gold variant of Batman himself. LEGO DC Batman: Batman Logo Set #: 76330Pieces: 678Ages: 12+ I have a real soft spot for the Batman logo. I was eight when Tim Burton’s Batman came out, and that logo was everywhere you looked for pretty much the entire 1990s. This set lets you build and display the logo, with tons of “greebling,” or LEGO-y texture on it. It even has a hidden compartment where you can house a minifigure. It comes with a buildable stand, a regular and a gold Batman minifigure, plus a gold coin celebrating 20 years of Batman LEGO sets. LEGO DC Batman: Batman v Superman Batmobile Set #: 76331Pieces: 220Ages: 9+ From the universally beloved 2016 movie Batman v Superman comes this sleek, gray, angular take on the Batmobile. It looks like a futuristic race car, but with sharp armored panels adorning it. Say what you will about the movie it came from, but this is an awesome Batmobile. LEGO DC Batman: The Batman Batmobile Set #: 76332Pieces: 330Ages: 9+ Batman’s vehicle in 2022’s The Batman is a boxier thing, more like the muscle cars from the ‘70s. It has vents on the hood, with the engine in the rear. It almost looks like a jet engine, pulsing blue when Batman puts the pedal to the metal. LEGO DC Batman: Batman & Robin Batmobile Set #: 76333Pieces: 272Ages: 9+ The Batmobile from the 1997 movie Batman & Robin is long and narrow, with sharp edges and no roof at all. Its spoiler looks like bat wings opening to take flight. The LEGO version isn’t too intricate: it replicates the rotating light in the hood with a sticker. But at $29.99, the price sure is right. These sets are announced right on the heels of the awesome new Arkham Asylum LEGO set, which ought to hold over Bat-fans until these new sets come out. But for even more Bat-vehicles, check out the LEGO Batman Forever Batmobile, the Classic TV Series Batmobile, and the 1989 Batman Batmobile. Chris Reed is a commerce editor and deals expert for IGN. Borderlands 4 developer Gearbox has given fans a seven day warning: those boss-melting builds based on “unintended interactions” will be nerfed next week. Borderlands 4 is rife with overpowered builds that use what developer Gearbox has described as “unintended interactions” to cause massive damage, even to the game’s toughest bosses on the hardest difficulties. The most infamous of these is 'the crit knife,' which Gearbox has said it’s aware of. But there are many others. Gearbox has spent the first few weeks of Borderlands 4’s life improving performance and buffing underperforming gear, rather than nerfing things or stamping out these broken builds. But the time has now come for change. Borderlands 4 creative director Graeme Timmins took to Twitter to say “there will be some changes next week to specific gear and those unintended interactions, this is your 7 Days Notice ;)” Next week’s update will also include “a host of improvements to stability, performance, and some highly requested quality-of-life changes!” Gearbox added over on the official account. "Looking forward to next week, we are planning another round of adjustments that will focus on Class Mods, Repkits, Shields, and Firmware being tuned to provide greater viability for melee builds, and account for deficiencies in other specific Vault Hunter builds," Gearbox said. "We will also address unintended interactions in certain Vault Hunter skills, and make adjustments to overperforming gear. Importantly, next week's update will include a host of improvements to stability, performance, and some highly requested quality-of-life changes!" Today, October 9, there’s a small update focused on minor gear adjustments. The patch notes, from the Borderlands 4 website, are below. Last week, a Borderlands 4 dataminer unearthed evidence to suggest that one of the most hated characters from Borderlands 3 was cut and replaced relatively late in development. 2K Games and Gearbox declined to comment when contacted by IGN. Bethesda's long-awaited The Elder Scrolls 6 will include a character designed in memory of a much-missed fan, after a remarkable charity campaign that raised more than $85,000 for Make-A-Wish. Led by the team behind top lore wiki The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP), the effort will see former member Loranna Pyrel immortalized in The Elder Scrolls 6, after having created a forum-based roleplay campaign series that was inspired by Bethesda's games and went on to inspire the in-game work one of Ted Peterson, one of the series' writers. Fans had previously attempted to get Pyrel included in The Elder Scrolls 6 via a silent auction organized by Bethesda for Make-A-Wish — only to have their group bid pipped at the post by another, anonymous entry. After that incident, Bethesda agreed to bend the rules and let the UESP gang get a second shot — if they matched the auction's winning bid of $85,450. And match it they have now done, thanks to numerous donations from The Elder Scrolls creators, the UESP, and fellow fan resource The Imperial Library. "It's kind of unbelievable that we got this far," the UESP wrote in a post on Instagram. "This whole thing started on an offhand comment about possibly teaming up, and then grew into this giant group effort. We're looking forward to adding this character to TES6. "We couldn't think of a more appropriate way to honor Loranna's contributions to both the Elder Scrolls community and the lore than a community charity fundraising effort like this while simultaneously making an addition the lore proper." We just finished up a meeting with Bethesda where we got to design a character for The Elder Scrolls 6. Honestly, a lot of us went into the meeting pretty nervous and even reserved, but now we're all extremely excited for what's in store. [Hidden Content] — UESP (@UESP_net) October 9, 2025 In a follow-up post on X today, the UESP revealed it had just finished a meeting with Bethesda about their Elder Scrolls 6 character, and said they had left "extremely excited for what's in store." As for when The Elder Scrolls 6 might actually arrive, we're less certain. Bethesda officially announced the game with a teaser trailer at E3 2018, an eye-watering seven years ago. Next, it confirmed The Elder Scrolls 6 had entered "early development" in August 2023, and "early builds" were available in March 2024. When the six year anniversary of the project's announcement arrived in June last year, even Bethesda development chief Todd Howard paused to say, "oh wow, that has been a while." Scooby Doo might not have been the bravest of companions on the screen, but he can be your 'best mate' on the island in Fortnite. Added as part of the Fortnitemares event, you can find and recruit the Great Dane to fight by your side. He even wears a Halloween-themed costume to match the vibes, and he can be invaluable as well. This guide will help you recruit Scooby without having to bribe him at all with Scooby Snacks. Table of contentsScooby Doo location in FortniteHow to recruit Scooby Doo in FortniteScooby Doo location in Fortnite Scooby is located in the Viney Shafts region, and in the northern part, to be precise. You can also reach the location from Bugswatter Beach. Alternatively, just drop in the location marked by Shaggy on the map, as Scooby will be in the same place. Screenshot by Destructoid When you reach the location, you'll find a supermarket. Head inside, and Scooby and Shaggy will be waiting for you. You can chat with Shaggy to solve his quest, which rewards you with 10,000 seasonal XP. Alternatively, you can just interact with Scooby to hire him as your companion. To do so, you'll need to have a fair amount of Gold with you. How to recruit Scooby Doo in Fortnite You can recruit Scooby Doo by spending 600 Gold, which is the usual amount for hiring NPCs. You can also choose to heal yourself from him if you're not at full health. Scooby can do a fair amount of damage when fighting by your side, which is excellent if you find yourself alone on the map. Do note that his location can be spawned by enemies, since there's also a stalkbox that spawns close to it. Hence, you can expect a fair number of enemies to be at the location, and it's better to suit up accordingly. Like our content? What is the best BF6 DRS-IAR loadout? A lot of LMGs are hulking beasts, capable of spewing hundreds of bullets in no time at all, and generally not being the most accurate at doing so. The DRS-IAR, however, is built more like a carbine than a traditional LMG, which comes with a host of benefits if you know how to kit it out correctly. Our list of the best BF6 guns is growing all the time, and the DRS-IAR is an easy inclusion, especially for Support players. With excellent mid-range performance, this LMG is a force to be reckoned with in the FPS game, rivalling even our best M4A1 loadout. Here is our best Battlefield 6 DRS-IAR loadout. The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D should really be worrying Intel. I've just been putting it through its paces for this review, and I'm absolutely blown away by it. There really isn't any desktop CPU work this chip can't do, and it seemingly laughs at the competition while it's doing it. Gaming? Big tick. Heavily multi-threaded productivity work? Massive tick. Heck, even its operating temperature and power draw are surprisingly low. The only factor counting against it is its sky-high price, but even that isn't unreasonable for the performance on offer. That doesn't mean the latest flagship AMD CPU is the best chip for everyone, though. If your top priority is gaming, the acclaimed AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D offers the same performance for a lower price, and, let's face it, this eight-core CPU covers the vast majority of people's multi-threading needs as well. But if you do a lot of parallel number crunching, such as video encoding or 3D rendering, and you also want the best gaming performance, the 9950X3D is now going onto our best gaming CPU guide as the chip that can do it all. Call of Duty ****** Ops 7 looks good, but in its fight for shooting supremacy, it's got serious competition this year. Just one day before the launch of Battlefield 6, EA has revealed that those on PlayStation 5 can receive up to an additional 15% XP increase per match if they are in a party with two or more PlayStation Plus subscribers. There doesn't appear to be a similar benefit for Battlefield 6players on Xbox Series X/S or PC, meaning PlayStation 5 users will have a huge advantage when it comes to levelling up in Multiplayer.
