The demand for Coffee Pot has increased in ARC Raiders ever since the Cold Snap update dropped, and it's tied directly with the requirements of the Flickering Flames project. The Coffee Pot isn't a new item, and it has been present since the launch of ARC Raiders. However, it hasn't had much use previously. The Flickering Flames project requires you to find the object at least twice before committing it to the project. While the location is completely random, this guide will help you by narrowing down the spots to look at. Best locations to find Coffe Pot in ARC Raiders The fourth level of the Flickering Flames project, aka Beverages, requires you to find two Coffee Pots. Finding them will help you finish the first task of the fourth part, and it also includes a Healing consumable. To find Coffee Pot, you'll strictly want to visit areas marked as Residential on every map. I found my first one on the Grandioso Apartments. You'll find the Grandioso Apartments in the southwestern part of the Buried City map. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid The Buried City map should be your target area, as the map has plenty of Residential areas. This is also the best map if you're trying to find the Frying Pan, which is another item that you'll need to finish the Flickering Flames project. As of writing, I have yet to find the second one, but you can also try out the following areas. Ruby Residence in Dam BattlegroundsVillage in Blue Gate These two areas usually offer great loot in general, and more so if you're trying to find items that you'll typically find in Residential areas. I have shared the location of the Ruby Residence for your benefit. Once you have found the Coffee Pots, you will have to donate them to the Flickering Flames. Be careful that the items will be gone from your in-game inventory once you confirm, but it's also necessary if you're trying to complete ARC Raiders' latest project. The decision is likely driven by memory shortages, which could make some cards nearly as difficult to find as they were at launch. Read Entire Article View the full article

The demand for a Frying Pan has gone up a notch or two in ARC Raiders since the beginning of the Cold Snap update, and it has nothing to do with your culinary tastes. The Cold Snap event revolves around the Flickering Flames project, which has five levels of tasks to complete. Every level requires you to commit certain items, and that's where you're going to need the Frying Pan. While the exact location of this item is completely random, this guide will aim to make your life easier so that you can complete all levels of the Flickering Flames project. Best locations to find Frying Pan in ARC Raiders You're going to need a Frying Pan to complete the final level of the Flickering Flames project. You'll require two of them, and committing them will also fetch you 1000 Creds. To find a Frying Pan, you're going to strictly look in the Residential Areas. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid My first Frying Pan was from the Ruby Residence area, which is located in the northwestern part of the Dam Battlegrounds map. These large apartment buildings have plenty of containers for you to loot. The Frying Pan was in one such container, but it all depends on luck. The Ruby Residence is also the exact spot where I found a Music Album, which is another item required to complete the Flickering Flames project. I found another Frying Pan inside the Grandioso Apartments in Buried City. I believe Buried City is the map to hit if you're solely trying to find the Frying Pan. This map has the highest number of areas marked as Residential, which definitely raises your chances of finding the said item. If you're on the Blue Gate map, you can also try your luck at the Village. Ultimately, it all boils down to your luck. Once you find two Frying Pans, you can commit them to the Flickering Flames project and move closer towards completing it. The Cold Snap update has added a fair amount of new content to ARC Raiders, and you can collect several skins to customize the appearances of your raider. Skins in ARC Raiders, commonly known as outfits, don't have any in-game effect. They're purely cosmetic in nature, but they do add a touch of flair, especially if you're playing with your buddies. If you've been unsatisfied with the offerings so far, you can explore plenty of new options. Some of them can be obtained for absolutely free of charge. How to get all Cold Snap update skins in ARC Raiders The table below has information about all the new skins that were added as part of the Cold Snap update. OutfitHow to unlockWardenComplete the Stench of Corruption quest, which is part of the new update. The quest is relatively simple, and you should be able to complete it quite quickly. If you manage to complete the Groundbreaking quest, you'll unlock an extra color palette for the Warden outfit. Hi-Tech HikerThe Hi-Tech Hiker occupies a significant spot on the Gathering Candleberries live event. The event is part of the Flickering Flames project, and you'll get different color palettes and equipments for the Hi-Tech Hiker outfit. To win the rewards, you'll have to gain Merit and proceed on the quest track. You'll unlock all the available items once you manage to hit the different milestones. Ryder A brand new white and red color palette for the Ryder outfit is available for free. This one is rather interesting, as you'll first have to download and install The Finals. This is a separate game that's made by Embark Studios. You'll then have to complete three matches across any chosen mode of your choice. The color palette will then unlock and become available inside ARC Raiders for you to use. Make sure to use the same account on both games. BonecrownThis outfit is part of its own unique set, but unfortunately, you can't have it for free. The Bonecrown cosmetic set is only available via microtransactions. That's pretty much all the major outfits and new color palettes that are available right now as part of the Cold Snap update. All three outfits, barring Bonecrown, can be added to your inventory for free of cost. Once you unlock them, go to the Raiders tab to customize the looks by equipping the one you want to play in. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 has officially revealed some of the first gameplay information about the various factions, and of all of them, the Aeldari sound like they will bring something truly unique to the game. Rather than forming massive armies to crush the opposition as many Creative Assembly fans might be used to, the Aeldari in Total War: Warhammer 40,000 use subterfuge, mystic powers, and alien technology to accomplish esoteric goals that go deeper than simple annihilation of their enemies. As Stardew Valley fans continue to wait patiently for the previously announced 1.7 update, creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has dropped a couple small, vague, yet exciting hints about what said mysterious update might entail: a new farm type, and "more character/social stuff." This comes from a tweet/X post from ConcernedApe, where he was asked if he could give any hints about the upcoming update. His response was pretty simple: "there will be some more character/social stuff, it's also traditional to add a new farm type. Lots more but I don't want to reveal much yet." there will be some more character/social stuff, it's also traditional to add a new farm type. Lots more but I don't want to reveal much yet — ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) December 17, 2025 That's not a ton of detail, but certainly enough to spark the imagination. The new farm type was indeed to be expected. Stardew Valley started with just one style of farm map, and since its release, most major new content updates have added at least one for a total of eight different options. Each farm map centers around a different specialty, with the Standard map being fairly generic and open-ended, and other maps promoting fishing, foraging, mining, combat, multiplayer, a combination of fishing and foraging, and animal raising. Currently, this means that basically every type of playstyle is supported, so there's a lot left to wonder about when it comes to imagining what new farm type could be added. Perhaps something that encourages building NPC friendships? The "character/social stuff" is a little more vague. This could mean anything from new scenes and events with existing characters to new characters entirely. It's really hard to say at this stage! Popular fan requests for future Stardew Valley features include more NPCs, including more romanceable NPCs, more dialogue and world lore, but also just generally more of everything: more animals, more crops, more decorations, more clothing, more enemies to fight, dishes to cook, and so forth. ConcernedApe hasn't really revealed anything so far about what 1.7 will contain, or even when we might expect it. He's given no release date, only suggested that it's possible it doesn't come out until after Haunted Chocolatier releases. Maybe. It'll be ready when it's ready. ConcernedApe did drop one other thing, though. When asked about a potential Nintendo Switch 2 edition, he said he's announce something "very soon." A Switch 2 edition was first announced back in September, and will bring mouse controls, four-player split screen multiplayer, and Game Share multiplayer to the Switch version. No release date has been given yet. We re-reviewed Stardew Valley in 2024 to account for its many, many updates since launch in 2016. While our original review gave it an impressive 8.8/10, the re-review called it a 10/10 masterpiece, saying, "Stardew Valley is not only the best farming game I’ve played, it is one of my favorite games of all time. That myself and others keep returning to this eight-year old gem each time it gets even the smallest update speaks to how it’s truly a masterpiece in the genre it both reinvigorated and has come to define." The largest addition to ARC Raiders in its December update was the Cold Snap map condition, which puts a blanket of snow on the game's four outdoor maps, but it also quietly brought the Locked Gate variant of Blue Gate. According to the event's in-game description, the Blue Gate has been put into emergency shutdown by clandestine operators. Raiders must therefore collect four Security Codes to override the lockdown. Warner Bros. announced today that 2023’s Hogwarts Legacy has officially sold more than 40 million units. The Wizarding World RPG first launched on most consoles two years ago, though it also launched on Nintendo Switch 2 this year. This news comes as Warner Bros. (and its gaming division), have received a $72 billion acquisition bid from Netflix, as well as a competing (but seemingly unfavorable bid) from Paramount. The game’s last sales milestone, as reported by Bloomberg in March, was 34 million. The launch of the game on Switch 2 likely boosted the sales to the new milestone. The report also noted that Warner Bros. and Avalanche had canceled a planned expansion for the game amidst a planned restructure of the gaming division. Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most successful games to launch from the Warner Bros’ gaming division, which is currently in the midst of an acquisition deal. Netflix and Paramount are apparently both bidding for the company, though WB Games has apparently not played a large role in their interest. This game notwithstanding, Warner Bros. has seen a few game flops, including the infamous Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. According to Joost van Dreunen, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the games division was barely mentioned in the acquisition’s pitch documents. The Music Albums item might have been available (or not) since the launch of ARC Raiders, but its demand has gone up since the beginning of Cold Snap. The main reason for this change in demand is the Flickering Flames project. Music Albums are among the items required to complete a step of the project. This guide will make it easier for you to find it, but keep in mind that its precise location will always be completely random. Best locations to find Music Albums in ARC Raiders You'll require at least two Music Albums if you want to complete the final step of the Flickering Flames project. Doing so will help you earn an additional 1000 Creds. However, finding this item is easier said than done. Ideally, you'll want to be looking into areas marked as Residential on any map. Another spot could be the Commercial zones that are also present on almost all maps. Thankfully, it didn't take me too long to find Music Albums. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid I found one of them in the Ruby Residence on Dam Battlegrounds. The Ruby Residence is a fantastic spot to find unique rewards and items. I found the Music Albums in one of the many containers usually present at this location. I found the second one in the Departure building of Spaceport. This place, incidentally, is a Commercial area. You can also look in the Arrival Building to try your luck. You'll be wanting to search the lockers and containers carefully. Both the Arrival and Departure buildings tend to have a lot of ARCs, so be careful on your pursuit. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid If you're on the Blue Gate map, your best spot should be the Village. While I didn't manage to find any Music Album at this location, it did provide me with an Empty Wine Bottle. This spot is pretty easy to loot, but you can run into other raiders occasionally. If you want to raise the chances in your favor, you can try out a map that has the Cold Snap modifier active. This modifier typically doubles your base luck, making it easier to find items of Rare or higher rarities. The post How to find Music Albums in ARC Raiders appeared first on Destructoid. Horses, the indie horror game that was banned from both Steam and the Epic Games Store ahead of its launch two weeks ago, has nonetheless managed to sell over 18,000 copies, says publisher Santa Ragione. However, that's not enough for the publisher to fund a new game. This comes from a press release sent today by Santa Ragione, which says Horses has generated approximately $65,000 in net revenue thanks to sales on GOG and Humble [Disclaimer: Humble and IGN are both owned and run by IGN Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ziff Davis, Inc.]. That was enough to pay royalties owed to creator Andrea Lucco Borlera, as well as pay off the loans the publisher took out to finish development. But that's not enough to begin work on a new game, and it doesn't seem likely that amount will be reached despite the significant attention the game's controversy gleaned. The team members are still planning to take on other jobs and projects, with the hope that the publisher may be able to fund a new prototype in the future if sales remain steady for long enough. "While the launch of HORSES compares very favourably to our most recent launches on Steam, Steam’s economics rely heavily on multi-year long tail sales and, for our past projects, on Steam key distribution through bundles, which has also lately been restricted for low-selling titles," the publisher said in a statement. "These structural differences are why a strong two week result on smaller storefronts does not tell us what a full Steam release could have looked like." Horses is a horror game that follows a young man who travels to a horse farm to work for several weeks during the summer, only to discover that the farm's "horses" are actually naked humans with horse masks forcibly attached over their heads. The game explores themes of complicity and what horrors people are willing to participate in, via the farmer and eventually protagonist's treatment and continued enslavement of these people. The game contains a lot of disturbing imagery, including violence and ******* content, but none of that's new for either Steam or Epic. Nevertheless, Horses was banned from Steam two years ago after the team submitted an in-progress prototype. While some suggestions were given as to the reason for the ban, no specifics were shared with the team at the time, nor was there an opportunity to appeal. Santa Ragione believes Valve may have objected to a scene present in the earlier version where a child "rode" one of the naked horses by sitting on their shoulders and being carried around. That character was aged up to an adult in the final version of the game, and there are no underaged individuals in the released version. With Valve unbending, Santa Ragione said at the time it may have to close its doors, due to the overwhelming necessity of a Steam release for most games to recoup development costs. The publisher put its hopes in Epic, GOG, and Humble, but at the last minute right before launch, Epic also banned the game, with Epic citing violations of its policies on "inappropriate content" and "hateful or abusive content." Both bans prompted a wave of criticism from developers and audience members, who called out the banning of the game as both censorship as well as hypocritical, given some of the other content that's allowed on Steam in particular. Santa Ragione specifically has called out Valve for having unclear policies and communication, problems that it feels essentially ensured the studio's demise. We also want to emphasize that this outcome should not distract from the broader issue at stake: the need for clearer rules, transparent processes, and meaningful accountability from near monopolistic distribution platforms and the systems they enforce. For every case like HORSES that becomes visible, there are many more games that are quietly banned, delisted, or trapped in indefinite review for unclear reasons, with developers too worried about retaliation or future approval to speak publicly. We are grateful to the journalists and outlets who have reported, and who will continue to report, on these cases. Critical response to Horses has been across the board, with our own reviewer giving it a 7/10 and calling it "an affecting first-person horror game that, despite some repetitive tasks and signposting issues, delivers a harrowing story you won’t forget in a hurry." Publisher Santa Ragione has a long history of both developing and publishing standout games. Its most recent successes are Mediterranea Inferno, which it published from developer Eyeguys and which won Excellence in Narrative at the 2024 Independent Games Festival, as well as nominations for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize and Nuovo Award. Saturnalia, developed in-house and released in 2022, received generally positive reviews. Both games remain available on Steam and Epic. View the full article
