Rewild 'em up strategy sim Terra Nil has just received a free Vita Nova update, which introduces five new levels, nine buildings, a spinnable 3D world map, a new creature, the jaguar, and a more sophisticated wildlife system (that’ll be the “new life” in question, then). It endows the game’s hitherto rather decorative fauna with “deeper needs” and greater agency. Find a trailer peering through the reeds below this sentence like a jaguar slavering over an unsuspecting herd of boar. Yes, you’re the wild boar in this analogy. Run piggy, run! Dawntrail is already shaping up to be an incredible FFXIV expansion, but you must complete a few things before diving in. Here are 10 things every FFXIV player must do before playing Dawntrail.Top 10 activities FFXIV to complete before DawntrailI’ve loosely ordered these activities in priority order, but only the first two are mandatory. Everything else will make the transition into Dawntrail a little smoother but don’t feel like you have to complete everything here to enjoy the expansion on day one.Reach level 90Screenshot: PC InvasionThe largest barrier to entry into Dawntrail is you must be level 90. This step is non-negotiable, although you will be at the appropriate level by the time you finish Endwalker. At the time of writing, there’s no way to skip Endwalker, although you’ll be able to pay for that service when Dawntrail releases.Square Enix has traditionally offered fast-tracking, but I strongly recommend against doing so. The Rakshasa set in Shadow of the Erdtree is highly coveted for a couple of reasons, and we’ve scoured Elden Ring‘s Realm of Shadow to find both the armor and Great Katana. Now, you can too. Shadow of the Erdtree is hard—everyone has been getting destroyed by it. So, it makes sense we need the best gear and upgrades to stand a chance against the likes of Rellana, Golden Hippopotamus, and the Putrescent Knight. Even lesser bosses are brutal in Elden Ring‘s DLC—and Rakshasa is the perfect example. View the full article

Midra is arguably among the best bosses FromSoftware has ever conceived, so it’s almost natural that he’d be hidden and likely missed by many Elden Ring players. With this guide, you won’t be among those who have missed out, so here’s how to find and defeat Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame. Midra, Lord of Frenzied flame guide in Shadow of the Erdtreehttps://videopress.com/embed/LZxlIZzf?cover=1&preloadContent=metadata&useAverageColor=1&hd=0 Like any other boss, Midra can be defeated with or without summons. The boss is incredibly fun in both ways and is a rare occasion of a fair ****** in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I personally used a Mimic to get through the boss faster, but he’s entirely doable without one as his ******* patterns are easy to learn and the few AoE attacks he does have are not too difficult to dodge. In addition, fighting him without a Mimic lets you enjoy the best OST in the game for longer, so that’s reason enough to do it. View the full article
Of the hundreds of games and years of gameplay we squeeze into our limited stay on Earth, some of us are lucky enough to find a game or series that just won't let go. However many other adventures we take on, characters we build, or objectives we complete, the mere mention of this game is enough to get us misty-eyed, lore-dumping on the nearest passer-by, whether they like it or not. For me, it was the Myst series, with Riven being my favorite of the bunch. Read the rest of the story... Your prayers have been answered. A fully functional virtual IKEA - yes the Swedish flat-pack furniture shop - opens in Roblox today, with ten people having earned the jobs that were on offer to work in it. Those jobs, in case you were wondering, recieved "over 178,000" applications. If you're out of the loop, first of all, I'm very sorry. Second of all, we covered IKEA originally putting out the job alert for this Roblox store earlier this month. The pitch was simple. If you were over 18, lived in the *** and Ireland, and liked the idea of being paid the same rate as someone working in one of London's actual IKEAs, you could apply to help people choose their furniture and/or serve meatballs in Roblox. Well, now the search for folks to man"The Co-Worker Game" is over, with ten lucky applicants being set to open it up today, June 24, and begin "[immersing themselves] in the working world of IKEA". The LCS is back and in full force! Before the Summer Split, LCS commissioner Mark Zimmerman addressed the community with the news that best-of-threes would be returning—but perhaps not in the way we would have imagined. The LCS introduced a single round-robin format, with every series being best-of-three, similar to the format seen during the regular season for each VALORANT domestic competition last year. Following the conclusion of week two, Alan “Busio” Cwalina, Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, and Sean “Yeon” Sung sat down with Emily Rand for the latest edition of the LCS podcast, *****. The group discussed their thoughts on the best-of-three changes and how they have impacted preparation. View the full article

Fallout 76s vast Appalachia has some rare encounters that only lucky and observant players will catch, including one tied to a story with a crucial lesson. Easter eggs like this are a great way to reward players who like to pay extra attention to their surroundings, so its nice to see Bethesda include tiny things like this in the game. Its also nice to see any extra details added to Fallout 76, which initially struggled to make its world feel full and interesting. View the full article
If you like to live on the wild side, cosy farming sim Stardew Valley now has a ********* mode mod. Stardew Valley isn't exactly the kind of game you can make a ********* mode for. It's meant to be a mostly relaxing, slice-of-life type of game, not Elden Ring, or whatever. Maybe you could make it so that crops need more specific types of care, and money is hard to make, or you could **** or something, but it's mostly against the spirit of the game. Last week, though, satirical games news outlet Hard Drive offered its own idea of a ********* mode: one where your farm gets deleted if you open up the game's official Wiki. Any seasoned Stardew Valley player will know that the Wiki is the place to go for all your farming needs, so such a challenge could pose to be impossible. As noted though, Hard Drive is just satire, so this obviously isn't real. Except, well, it is now! Within a day of Hard Drive's article going live, someone made this an actual mod you can download that checks whether you have the Wiki open or not (thanks, GamesRadar). The user that made it, nightshademagia, showed it off in a short video above and yep, as soon as you open that Wiki, your save file is immediately deleted, and if you try to open it up again, it's just simply gone. Now, I obviously wouldn't suggest doing this if you've got a save file you've been playing on for a long time, though I think that simply not opening the Stardew Valley Wiki doesn't seem like much of a challenge. Helldivers 2's just gotten a fresh Major Order and everyone who's not busy chilling in the trees on Garcrux is already all over it. The problem - that Automatons are coming for Malevelon Creek. The other problem - there's a bit of disconnect between hardcores and casuals when it comes to plans that might stop them. Having saved some human kids, you'll be glad to hear that the allure of a fresh biome didn't stop the helldiver masses from ******** enough Terminid kids to succeed in the last MO. Now though, the issue of getting everyone on the same page is rearing its head again, in a slightly more familiar form. Informing folks that the last order had resulted in "an elevated (but completely unharmful!) degree of Terminid spores having been measured around the most heavily hit planets", something I'm sure won't come back to ***** Super Earth in the future, community manager Twinbeard relayed this new one in the following terms.
