  1. MultiVersus' year-long hiatus is proving to be worth it, for the most part, as fans ***** back into the Warner Brothers-themed PS5 and Xbox fighter. While there's plenty of brawling bliss to enjoy, some features aren't exactly going down a storm with players - like paying for extra lives. Apparently you might be so hopeless at obliterating Shaggy that you'll need to shell out real money for a safety blanket of sorts, but now it is claimed this is just a bug to be dealt with. 3. Image: Ubisoft It seems like roguelikes, early access games, and Prince of Persia are all the rage this year. So, it makes sense to release a game that combines all three. The Rogue Prince of Persia, developed by ***** Cells studio Evil Empire, released in early access late last month after being delayed by a week to get out of the way of the Hades 2 stealth drop. The game takes the elements the Prince of Persia series is known for — combat, platforming, and time manipulation shenanigans — and remixes them to fit the roguelike format while also remixing the roguelike format itself into something interesting and different. You play as the Prince desperate to stop an invading force of Huns that have devastated his home and people. Whenever the Prince... Continue reading… View the full article
  4. Illustration: Cath Virginia / The Verge Today, we’re talking about the state of the video game industry, which is honestly kind of all over the place. We don’t talk a lot about video games here on Decoder, but we should do more of it. Games are an enormous slice of both the tech and media industries. Here in the US, according to the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) — the big industry trade group — more than 212 million people played games last year, and they spent more than $47 billion on the games and the content inside of them. A lot of those games get announced here in June, which is absolutely hype season for pretty much the entire video game industry. We’re about to hear about a lot of very cool projects. After the next few days, almost every major game maker will... Continue reading… View the full article

  6. Ubisoft's Watch Dogs franchise is an odd one. After three major game releases that ******* to make it nearly as big as *********'s Creed and some transmedia playfulness, Ubisoft is doubling down on the idea of bringing it to the big screen. Now, the publisher and New Regency have landed yet another big star to spearhead the cast. The surprising project is being fast-tracked as we speak, with the studio and Ubisoft recently recruiting Talk to Me's breakout star Sophie Wilde and now looking into bringing Tom Blyth, of Hunger Games fame, into the fold. Deadline broke the news on June 5, also adding that Wilde's deal is now closed alongside her co-star's. In a less surprising move, French genre director Mathieu Turi (The Deep Dark, Meander) was tapped to direct the movie. If you can remember that misfire, the *********'s Creed movie (released in late 2016) was helmed by Justin Kurzel, another director with a markedly auteur-ish curriculum. The script comes from Christie LeBlanc (Oxygen) with new revisions by Victoria Bata (Best Dressed). Read more View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  7. Maybe you can relate, but I tend to find I crave twee and colorful things proportionally inverse to my melancholy. If I’m having a good week, give me ***** and Hunger and horrible films like Speak No Evil. If, like this week for some reason, I feel like bursting into tears at inopportune moments, I need silly little guys doing whimsical activities. Enter Dungeon Clawler. It’s a vaguely Slay The Spire-ish roguelite where you grab weapons from a claw machine while you ******. It's got lazy Steam Deck depression nap written all over it. The main theme reminds me of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and the character I picked is named Sir Bunalot. Read more View the full article

We said: "Octopath Traveler's beautiful style and outstanding take on traditional turn-based combat make it a game that pushes JRPGs forward rather than simply paying homage to the greats." This ***** Space spiritual successor launched in December 2022, receiving a 7/10 from IGN’s review. 24. I will admit it took me and my buddy a while to figure out how to get past The Final Shape’s first exotic puzzle. Figuring out how to solve the runes puzzle by reflecting projectiles with the sword guard had us scratching our Guardian’s heads in Destiny 2 for a minute. How to Overload the RunesThe most basic skill you will need to apply to this challenge in Destiny 2 is using the sword guard to reflect projectiles. This can be done by picking up the relic sword and holding the guard button. Now, projectiles will reflect from it and fly to where your reticule is pointing. Be aware this has a little drop, so aim high. Once you have this down, it’s time to start the challenge.Screenshot: PC InvasionThe rune sword is collected by ******** the yellow bar enemies.First RunesThe first set of runes simply needs you to reflect the hive projectiles being fired at you in Destiny 2 using the Rune Sword.
