While Valve hasn't responded to a request for comment on the matter, PC gaming platform GOG tells Ars that it is ready and willing to help users transfer their accounts in the event of their ******. As long as they bring a court order, that is. "In general, your GOG account and GOG content is not transferable," GOG spokesperson Zuzanna Rybacka tells Ars. "However, if you can obtain a copy of a court order that specifically entitles someone to your GOG personal account, the digital content attached to it, taking into account the EULAs of specific games within it, and that specifically refers to your GOG username or at least email address used to create such an account, we’d do our best to make it happen." Baldur's Gate 3 is great on any platform, but time and time again, the PC version just keeps proving itself as the best way to play with BG3's most recent update. PC has always been a big platform focus for Baldur's Gate 3, with a nearly three-year early access ******* and the first month of the official release remaining exclusive to Steam. The fact that it's now playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as well has made it possible for a lot more people to join in on the fun, but anyone with options has reason enough to opt for the PC release. There are a great many tragedies both big and small in the gaming industry and one of them is the lack of attention Marvel's Midnight Suns has received. An instant classic that combines RPGs, strategy games, and card battlers with supernatural superhero shenanigans, developed by the team behind XCOM? It should've been a slam dunk and in some ways it was, at least in terms of critical reaction. Despite all that it's struggled to make an impact, though that might be about to change. Developer Player First Games has released a new patch for its free-to-play fighting game MultiVersus. The patch includes various fixes and improvements, along with details about how the Iron Giant will be nerfed when he returns. As noted in a new blog post, the MultiVersus 1.01 patch notes first mention that Iron Gaint is still unplayable after the developer previously pulled the character from the roster. They also note that a status update will be shared sometime next week. The Iron Giant was removed from the MultiVersus character roster after complaints that he was overpowered and was causing an unfair advantage. The patch notes mention that this next update should add changes that will "prevent Iron Giant from chaining certain sets of ******* infinitely." Two things getting nerfed in Iron Giant's move set are the Ground Side *******, which will get a "slightly smaller" hitbox, and his Rage Mode Up Special, which will decrease the final hit damage from 5 to 6. Another noteworthy change coming to Patch 1.01 includes fixing an issue that was causing performance problems for the Xbox Series X/S version and addressing an issue where specific keyboard configurations caused phantom inputs during a match. MultiVersus was fully released last May, after an early access and beta versions of the game were held from July 2022 until June 2023. Upon its full release, MultiVersus received a ton of compliments, with one player saying the full release felt "more like a beta than the beta." Well, time to break out the Dr. Doofenshmirtz "two nickels" meme again, because once again the stars have aligned and we have two indie games in close proximity with oddly similar setups. In this case, it's the premise of an adorable, recently deceased ****** cat that finds themselves having to navigate the afterlife. We previously saw that just a week ago with Umbraclaw, and now we're set see it again soon with Crypt Custodian, from developer Kyle Thompson (best known for Islets and Sheepo) and publishers Top Hat Studios. But where Umbraclaw's protagonist gets to become a badass warrior, here, our protagonist Pluto is tasked with being the afterlife's janitor for all of eternity. But this punishment leads to what appears to be one impressive adventure, as seen in the trailer at this link, which also reveals that the game is coming out sooner than you might imagine. Caves of Qud is great. Like, "you can be a four-armed, winged gorilla man with a monofilament sword and unfortunate nearsightedness"-level great. It's a roguelike that delivers procedurally generated delight on par with Dwarf Fortress (a quick glance at the review will tell you that's one of the highest compliments I can give). But like Dwarf Fortress, Caves of Qud has suffered from a near-impenetrable interface—until now. The main highlight of the Spring Molting update, arriving today, is a complete UI replacement. Almost every menu and interface element has been redesigned. In a victory for my long-suffering wrists, the entire game can now be navigated entirely with a mouse or gamepad, instead of just with keys. At last, Qud features more wandering across mutant-wracked, salt-blasted wastes and less wondering how you even look at your character sheet... Read more.View the full article

Starfield players looking to celebrate Pride Month are in luck because if Bethesda doesn't do anything official to commemorate the month, the community has just the solution. Given the open-ended nature of Starfield, the RPG makes it clear that players are welcome to assume the role of anyone they'd like which is fitting given the game's generally optimistic view of the future. It even goes so far as to allow users to select their own pronouns, a small but important touch to help everyone feel included. View the full article
