Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for its live-action take on the Yakuza series, Like a Dragon, but don't expect too much from it. We're very much in the age of video game adaptations at the moment, with shows like The Last of Us and Fallout, and films like the Super Mario Bros. Movie finding a lot of success. So it was no surprise when ***** and Amazon announced Like a Dragon: Yakuza, the latest live-action take on the beloved game series, last month. Now, at San Diego Comic-****, Amazon has released the show's first trailer and it… doesn't show us all that much. There's plenty of shots of protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, portrayed by Ryoma Takeuchi this time around, getting his iconic tattoo done, as well as a few other shots of men looking very serious - one of them even sheds a tear - but it's hard to garner what the show will actually be like. The Yakuza series does of course have its serious moments, but it's also filled with a lot of silliness too, which this trailer is severely lacking in. Let's hope a full trailer will help make the tone a bit clearer than this one, but it looks promising enough all the same. Like a Dragon: Yakuza's official logline explains: "Spanning across 1995 and 2005, the series follows the lives of childhood friends, and the repercussions of the decisions of Kazuma Kiryu, a fearsome and peerless Yakuza warrior with a strong sense of justice, duty, and humanity." It was also announced that Kiryu's main companion, Akira Nishikiyama, also just known as Nishiki, will be played by Kento Kaku. Read more View the full article

The first teaser trailer for the anime adaptation of Junji Ito's Uzumaki is here, and it's looking like it could be one of the best takes on his works yet. Out of all of Ito's works, there are two that could be described as his most iconic. One is Tomie, a series about an immortal woman that drives those that fall in love with her. And the other, of course, is Uzumaki, a series about a town that is overcome with… uh, spirals! It's scarier than it sounds, I promise. The classic manga has actually previously received a live-action film adaptation back in 2000, as well as a couple of video game adaptations, but it had never received an anime adaptation. That's technically still the case, as it's not out yet, but after years of waiting, the first trailer for the series finally dropped at San Diego Comic-**** this week, confirming that it will be airing on ****** Swim's Toonami this coming September 28. You can check out the first teaser trailer for the series above, which is mostly just a compilation of ominous, occasionally spiral-filled shots, but it's a strong first look. You'll obviously quickly notice that the series has opted for a completely ******-and-white look, a rarity amongst anime adaptations, but for something like Uzumaki, I can't think of a better creative choice. Sure, colour can add a lot to some adaptations, but Ito's work is particularly striking because it's in ****** and white, and to see that realised in anime form makes this a very exciting series even ignoring how much of a classic it is. A total of 21 heroes (or villains) have found their way to Marvel Rivals, and as much as we don’t want to compare them directly (as the devs themselves have mentioned), it’s hard not to rank each character from best to worst. It turns out a few of the roster do sit above their peers, while others are certainly lacking in their roles. Here’s our tier list for Marvel Rivals, dividing the entire group of characters into our four-step list ranking from S-tier (powerful) to C-tier (needs a little help). View the full article
