  1. Four classic titles are coming to Nintendo Switch Online, the company announced during today’s Direct stream. The first two games are reimagined versions of NES and SNES titles that were ported to the Game Boy Advance. First is The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords, an updated version of one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed entries in the Zelda franchise with an additional multiplayer expansion where up to four players can explore randomized dungeons. Next is Metroid: Zero Mission, a remake of the original Metroid that features updated visuals and new story elements. View the full article
  2. The most recent craze among gamers is the Banana game that promises players a lot of money for… clicking on a banana for dozens of hours. It caught on so well that it has now entered Steam’s top 10 most-played games of all time with nearly 850,000 concurrent players. That puts it in spitting distance of Baldur’s Gate 3, 2023’s biggest game and one that has been in the 10 best-selling games on Steam for nearly a year now. It also crossed Cyberpunk 2077 which had an amazing redemption arc spanning nearly three full years. The reason behind all this is pretty clear: the Banana game promises random drops every three and 18 hours that some players have already been selling for insane amounts of money. One banana item has sold for over $1,000, though the value has been largely dropping with the current most expensive listed item going for about $220. View the full article

  5. Sometimes, nostalgia can cloud your judgment. This is especially true with games that sometimes don’t age well, or aren’t adaptable to things like new mechanics. This is seemingly true for Call of Duty players when it comes to classic maps. Modern Warfare 3 launched late last year with 16 maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009, and apparently, players are over them. View the full article

  8. Clay is a vital resource in Pax Dei. It’s responsible for advanced crafting facilities and for laying the foundation for your homestead. Only, you may find it hard to locate.Clay is a raw resource that you can find and collect on the ground like some others in Pax Dei; the trick is finding where it spawns, however.Where to find Clay in Pax DeiDespite my incessant travelling, I was only able to find one type of location that had Clay on it, and it was only thanks to the kindness of another player.I’ve only noticed Clay to spawn in groups near rivers and bodies of water. They won’t spawn right at the bank or in the river, but some paces in-land. So when looking for Clay, follow the rivers and keep your attention to the land and not the river.Do bear in mind that other players may have taken the Clay before you get there, and there won’t be any indication that Clay used to be there. You could run past numerous Clay spawn points without realising...View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  9. Riot Games is introducing mixed-gender tournaments, with these combined events starting in the 2024 VALORANT OFF//SEASON. Paired with the already established Game Changers circuit, this initiative aims to create more opportunities for diverse talent to compete together on an equal footing, furthering Riot’s commitment to “bridge the systemic gap” in the gaming community. 10. Destiny 2: The Final Shape may go down as the best expansion in the game’s history if it keeps up its current momentum of both player investment and sentiment. On PlayStation, Destiny 2 saw a player increase of a whopping 86 percent at The Final Shape’s launch, according to a report by TrueTrophies. That’s a whole lot of players heading into orbit, but what may be even more impressive is that they’ve stayed engaged thus far. View the full article
  11. To expand opportunities for Game Changers players to reach higher tiers in the VALORANT Champions Tour ecosystem, Riot Games has unveiled a series of new policies aimed at making it easier for GC players to reach Challengers and the international leagues. Included in these new Riot policy changes is a more direct path for the best VALORANT Game Changers teams to qualify for their region’s Challengers circuit. Teams that qualify for the Game Changers Championship, the yearly world championship event for Game Changers, will receive an automatic invite to their region’s Challengers qualifier. This year’s Game Changers Championship will even expand from eight to 10 teams, giving two more teams an invite to their region’s Challengers qualifier. View the full article
  12. Riot Games is implementing a handful of new policies with the goal of getting Game Changers players into both Challengers and the VCT international leagues, and with those changes comes an opportunity for organizations to expand their reach in VALORANT. Going forward, organizations that currently compete in VALORANT at the VCT international league or Challengers level can field an additional roster “within other tiers” if the second roster is composed primarily of Game Changers players. 13. If nothing else, Workers & Resources Colon ******* Republic will give anyone an appreciation of the incredible complexity and difficulty of building and maintaining a city. On another day I might call it the first ever city building game. Even a Settlers or Factorio cannot match its extreme focus on logistical simulation. It isn't realism for its own sake (look no further than the automated vehicles and the ludicrous citizen behaviour to refute that), but a fundamentally different interpretation of what city building means. It's about co-ordinating all your pieces so they'll be in the right place to support each other, and how the whole is all that matters, but that whole will fail if you don't organise its parts. It is… a lot. It's too much at times. But if you have those times, it will occupy them like nothing else. Read more View the full article
  14. Computers have taken advantage of the ultra-fast communication speed that fiber optics can provide for a long time. However, this is the first time it could potentially become a standard internal component of our PCs, with semiconductor fiber optics specialist Cadence demonstrating a new fiber optic PCIe 7.0 interface. The world's first demonstration is still a proof of concept rather than a definite finished product, but it shows the potential of the technology. The interface can clock in at 128GT/s (242GB/s for an x16 connection), which is four times faster than the current 32GT/s (63GB/s for x16) rate of PCIe 5.0. It's too early to know if it will be a technology that finds its way into the best gaming motherboards of the near future, but it's an interesting concept nonetheless. Read the rest of the story... 15. During my 50-hour Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree playthrough, I set about scaling the gnarled tree branches of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh believing a secret or treasure awaited me at the very top. An hour later and over a hundred thousand runes lighter, I realized it was all for naught. Yet it's the promise of exploring a mysterious world filled with potential secrets and rewards that makes the game so special. Back in 2022, we hailed Elden Ring as FromSoftware's masterpiece, one that "lights the path ahead for open-world games in general." Its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, meanwhile, reinforces this idea even more, boasting memorable and befuddling areas and - yes - the soulslike staple of occasionally rage-inducing bosses. 16. [/url][Hidden Content] It has now been almost exactly seven years since Nintendo first announced Metroid Prime 4 and over five years since the company said it was restarting work on the game with series mainstay Retro Studios. Now, Nintendo has finally shared the first glimpse of gameplay for the renamed Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is now planned for a 2025 release. "After a very long time, we are finally able to share more information about this title," Nintendo executive Shinya Takahashi said during today's livestreamed Nintendo Direct presentation, showing a remarkable talent for understatement. Takahashi went on to also ask that fans "please wait a little bit longer" for additional information before the game's planned release next year. That "additional information" should include whether the highly anticipated game will launch for the Switch—as was promised way back in 2017— or for Nintendo's next console, which the company recently teased via a pre-announcement announcement. Nintendo kept its promise that "there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor" during today's Nintendo Direct presentation, but a major first-party franchise game launching in 2025 definitely seems well-positioned to serve as a showcase for new hardware that Nintendo seems to be planning for around the same time frame. 17. In a surprising announcement during today’s Nintendo Direct, a new installment in the Zelda franchise was revealed. In Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Hyrule’s fate rests in the hands of Princess Zelda herself, marking a significant departure from the series’ long-standing tradition of featuring Link as the main character. The title features a “new gameplay style that breaks conventions of past Legend of Zelda games,” said Eiji Aonuma, the longtime producer of the series, while introducing the game. The live presentation featured a trailer that introduced Link’s mysterious disappearance, leaving Zelda to save Hyrule with the help of a new companion, the mysterious ****** Tri. Armed with a powerful new *******, the Tri Staff, Zelda embarks on an epic quest to rescue her kingdom. View the full article

  20. Ace Attorney Investigations Collection has been announced at June 2024's Nintendo Direct, and it's set to bring a a couple of Ace Attorney spin-off titles, including one that's never previously been released outside of Japan, to Switch on September 6. While the gameplay looks like it'll be the usual AA kind of thing - investigating *******, interviewing witnesses, using you big law brain, the collection will offer a bit of a visual twist, via the ability to switch between new hand-drawn HD character art from the original series' character designer and the classic pixel art the games orginally used to render their sprites. Yup, a high-quality art Miles Edgeworth, or weird polygon Miles Edgeworth, the choice is yours. You'll also have the chance to collect some artwork from the games and music to flick through via the menu, giving you a chance to see appreciate how these games came together. Or maybe you're just really into orchestral tunes. We're not judging. Read more View the full article
  21. The creators of Danganronpa's next game, The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-, looks like a mix of ***** Emblem and the classic visual novel series. The days of Danganronpa might be behind us now, but that doesn't mean its creators aren't still going. The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is the latest title from the creators of the classic series, and yes, it is about a bunch of students having to go through slightly nightmarish events at school while a funny looking mascot oversees it all. If I had a nickel, etcetera. We even got a look at gameplay in the announcement trailer, which promises the game will arrive on Nintendo Switch early 2025. While there isn't too much gameplay shown off, it looks like a mixture of Danganronpa's visual novel-eseque gameplay, mixed ***** Emblem, turn-based, battlefield-based combat. It sounds like some of your allies can **** too, a staple of both Danganronpa and ***** Emblem, so you'll likely have to take care when it comes to picking favourites. Read more View the full article

  24. Image: Nintendo After years of playing second fiddle to Link in her own franchise, Princess Zelda is finally getting a video game of her own this fall. During today’s Direct presentation, Nintendo revealed The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the franchise’s first game to follow as Princess Zelda herself embarks on an adventure to save the world from destruction. After Ganon bests Link in battle, Zelda is left to her own devices to battle hordes of monsters that descend upon the game’s take on Hyrule (which seems heavily inspired by 2019’s Link’s Awakening remake).
