  1. To the Edge of the Abyss is the third and final quest required to unlock Diablo 4‘s new Infernal Hordes mode, so it’s a pretty major part of the new season. This third Diablo 4 season five quest tasks you with delving all the way into *****, battling huge hordes, and then defeating the Fell Council. While it sounds easy, there’s a lot that can go wrong if you don’t prepare or know what to do. With this guide, you should hopefully make it out of the depths of ***** without (too much) trouble. 3. Blasting away with finger guns in Deadlock’s training level. | Screenshot by Sean Hollister / The Verge It’s been nearly five years since Valve announced a truly new game — and counting. Valve has still not announced Deadlock, its new hero shooter that takes cues from Overwatch, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and more. But that hasn’t stopped nearly 20,000 people from trying the game, including me. And I’m not under NDA. I have signed no contracts, made no verbal agreements; I haven’t even clicked through a EULA. Screenshot by Sean Hollister / The Verge This message does pop up when I launch Deadlock, but I didn’t click OK; instead, I hit the Escape key and watched it disappear. Earlier today, I received a no-strings-attached invite to play Deadlock on Steam. Steam claims the game is made by Valve. It displays Valve’s... Continue reading… View the full article
  4. It's hard to believe Promise Mascot Agency's developers believe in the words "too far." A few minutes into the game I met my new assistant at the agency I have to return to profit, which exclusively employs weirdos and rejects. Pinky is a child-height severed finger with a hair trigger for flying into a rage. Half an hour later the first mascot I run into in the nearby town and recruit to my agency is a cat covered in **** (sorry, "********* yam"). He loves *****... Read more.View the full article
  5. Apex Legends ranked has been turned off today after a strange competitive glitch that reset everyone’s standings in the season just days after the new split began. Across the battle royale, Apex players immediately began reporting they’d lost their ranks after logging in on Monday, Aug. 12. The in-game messaging suggested the ranked split had been “reset”—a wipe obviously not meant to happen for more than a month. Unsurprisingly, the game-wide reset sparked panic across the community.
