It’s one of the least-secret unannounced games I can think of in the last decade, but now it has an official Steam page. It seems Valve is finally ready to acknowledge Deadlock exists. Noted today by a few eagle-eyed social media users, Deadlock finally has a public Steam page announcing the existence of the title, the fact that it is made by Valve, and that it’s a game with a spooky vibe and not much else that’s set in stone as of yet. The page has a bright-orange notice posted at the top, telling readers the game “is in early development with lots of temporary art and experimental gameplay.” View the full article
Valve has finally, officially announced Deadlock, in the most minimal way imaginable. The game now has a Steam page that lists Valve as its developer and publisher, and a simple notice: Deadlock is in early development with lots of temporary art and experimental gameplay. Access is currently limited to friend invite via our playtesters. Valve provides no other details, just an animated teaser image. (You can see a still screenshot of it above.) The system requirements only mention that the game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system. While the game has ostensibly been a secret until now, details about it have been trickling out for months. Information started to emerge from closed playtests in May. By August, tens of... Sengoku Dynasty is a game that does a few things differently, such as uprooting the action to Japan, and now adding soulslike combat. Read the rest of the story... The Horse Guai (also called Ma Tianba) is one of your unlikely allies in ****** Myth: Wukong. You can encounter him in five different locations, with your search running parallel to his. ****** Myth: Wukong is filled to the brim with fantastic boss fights, but the spectacular nature of these challenges helps cast a brighter light on the game's most glaring weakness. Starfield‘s journey across the stars can sometimes feel nice, but quickly starts to drop off once planets begin feeling the same as ones you’ve already visited. A new mod, the first by modder VolaticWolf, aims to change that and give “each and every planet” an overhaul. The overhaul primarily targets biomes, which VolaticWolf says will “make [ planets] unique,” offering players much more incentive to go and pay them a visit. PC players won’t be the only ones with access to the mod, either. Xbox owners of the game will also get a chance to give the mod a ****** and diversify their interplanetary experience. Starfield‘s planets, especially those that aren’t part of any broader quest or story, are usually quite stale with few interesting landmarks to visit, making many of them feel more like placeholders than anything else. And so the day has finally come—Concord is out, to barely any excitement. The game, which reportedly spent eight years in the oven, has ******* to attract a significant audience among hero shooter enthusiasts and is sporting fewer than 700 players on its big day. According to SteamDB, Concord has 685 concurrent players at time of writing on a fine Friday afternoon in the U.S., which is already below its 24-hour peak of 697. The Sony-published hero shooter aimed to dip its toes into the market and take on the behemoths dominating the genre like Overwatch 2 and Team Fortress 2. To put things into perspective, Valve’s genre-defining, 17-year-old title has over 66,000 concurrent players as of this article, and Blizzard’s counterpart sports over 55,000 on Steam (not taking console or Battle.net players into account), making Concord nearly 100 times less popular than the former. It has taken a ridiculously long time for the smash-hit TV show Squid Game to get a video game adaptation, but it is finally coming in the form of Squid Game: Unleashed.
