  1. A fan-made chart from Zenless Zone Zero shows off the usage rates for all the game's characters within the endgame Shiyu Defense game mode. Aside from the main story, the urban sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse offers plenty for players to do throughout New Eridu, both during the story's progression and for the endgame. Players can visit the Godfinger arcade to play multiple mini-games, tackle the "Hollow Zero" dungeon for a variety of rewards, and farm resources through several different combat challenges. However, one particular game mode focuses on players' damage and in-game skill. View the full article
  2. A new ***** from Honkai Impact 3rd is teasing a potential upcoming crossover with Honkai: Star Rail, suggesting that Sparkle may be added to the game. While HoYoverse has seen overwhelming success with games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd has stood the test of time as one of the developer's longest-running games. HoYoverse first launched the RPG in 2016 and has continued to support the game ever since, often making massive updates to the game at different times throughout its life. Now, HoYoverse may be planning a major crossover to come. View the full article
  3. While I truly adored Final Fantasy 16 on PS5, the PC reception to the demo has been mixed. Between issues with PC performance and the overall story and pacing (I promise you this part gets much better), the impending FF16 launch might still need some screws tightening. The good news is that Square Enix is aware of this, making some sweeping changes to the demo of Clive's adventure. Not only does this bode well for how the RPG runs at launch, but also suggests that the PC demo will stick around, just like the one on PlayStation. Read the rest of the story... The Monopoly GO Slice and Dice event will run from Aug. 26 to 27, featuring over 400 Peg-E tokens and 4,000 Dice rolls. 8. The cult classic horror games The Suffering and The Suffering: Ties That Bind are being delisted from GOG beginning September 1, making them completely unavailable for PC gamers to purchase. Developed by the now-defunct Surreal Software and Midway Games, The Suffering and its sequel were released in 2004 and 2005, respectively, and earned somewhat mixed reviews. However, the original Suffering was a big commercial hit and both games are remembered fondly as two of the better survival-horror titles of the PS2 and original Xbox era. View the full article
  9. PlayStations new first-person hero shooter Concord appears to be off to an incredibly poor start on Steam, with less than 700 concurrent users playing on PC on the titles launch day. While Concord does have a staggeringly low player count for a first-party PlayStation title, the 200+ users who have left a review do appear to be rating it highly. View the full article

  11. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to deliver an epic narrative that finally wraps up the loose ends left by 2014's Inquisition. 12. More than most modern RPGs, the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series is willing to inconvenience you. Peasant-turned-knight protagonist Henry is back after learning to swing a sword and maintain reasonable hygiene standards in the 2018 original, but it's clear from my hands-on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 preview in Prague that he still has far to go in his adventure across 15th-century Bohemia. 14. World #22 Maxime Vachier-Lagrave has long been a fixture of the chess elite, but he has now etched his name into the record books with the exact same number: 22 consecutive draws in classical chess across three tournaments and three and a half months of play. While patzers like myself will inevitably blunder something in a drawn rook and pawn endgame, chess grandmasters are cut from a different cloth, and they can steer most of the even positions to a drawn conclusion. This is especially true in classical chess, the pinnacle of the royal game, where the oceans of time available to think allow them to play with incredible precision. View the full article

  20. There are a lot of deckbuilding roguelikes around these days. Between Balatro, Slay the Spire, Monster Train, Wildfrost, and many more, the prospect of building a deck and taking that into your next run is all too familiar at this point. The genre is diverse, but with so many excellent entries demanding my attention, it's difficult to pick up an entirely new spin on a randomized deck of cards. That's where Hellcard comes in, because not only does this roguelike channel the positional CRPG combat of Baldur's Gate 3, but it's also a co-op spin on the genre you can play for free right now - but you've got to be quick. 23. PlayStation's PC strategy has been a rollercoaster this year. Both Helldivers 2 and Concord are first-party multiplayer games that came to PC the same day as PS5, but their stories couldn't be more different. Helldivers 2 launched as the talk of the town, with well over 400,000 players on Steam alone. Concord meanwhile, despite launching at the same price as Arowhead's megahit, has come out with little fanfare, and it can't even break 1,000 players on Steam. What happened? 24. Whenever a new soulslike comes out, there's always a dedicated (or unhinged) group of players that want to make them even *******. From no-hit runs through all of FromSoftware's catalogue to beating two games of Elden Ring with a dance pad and controller simultaneously. These are feats only a select few could ever accomplish.
