Dr Disrespect’s ban from Twitch was allegedly followed by a complaint to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), according to a new report. It’s claimed the complaint was filed by Twitch due to “explicit messages” sent to a minor. According to a report by Rod “Slasher” Breslau for Rolling Stone (published on June 27 and updated on June 29), the messages sent by DrDisrespect were deemed serious enough to warrant reporting to NCMEC, an organization collaborating with law enforcement to address child exploitation. The developers of speedy first-person shooter Selaco have dropped a big patch for the retro blaster, adding new ******* upgrades and mutators that can change the game's difficulty in piecemeal ways, like making enemies stronger for an added challenge. There's a heap of other fixes and changes but among them ***** the admission that something has been missing. "We fully understand people want a dedicated kick button for all weapons," the developers say. But wait, isn't there a slide kick in the game already? Read more View the full article
Storytelling-wise, Elden Ring's famous for being chock full of folks just subtlely alluding to things, without explicitly spelling out the whole picture, and it seems writer George R.R. Martin's embraced that philosophy in his real world interactions too. Well, he has specfically when it comes to acknowledging rumours of a potential Elden Ring TV or film adaptation. Yep, forget trying to read into the meaning of the cut dialogue dataminers have already uncovered in Shadow of the Erdtree or contemplating what it means lore-wise when someone beats Messmer using a dance pad, it's time to try and read into what one of the gretest fantasy writers ever has said on his blog. In the latest post to this blog, Martin discussed awards with help from some baseball philosophy, and also found time to say both nothing and a fair amount about the idea of the FromSoft hitting either the big screen or the smaller screen that all of your furniture is pointed at. The official Deadpool game may be a thing of the past but after a recent update to some of Activision's older licensed projects, there's new hope the Merc with the Mouth's first solo video game may soon be relisted on various platforms. Released in 2013 and developed by High Moon Studios, Deadpool made a splash as it won plenty of praise from the characters' fans, even if critics were lukewarm on its combat and progression system. Despite this, it's becoming a cult classic, making its inaccessibility on modern hardware a frustration for many. View the full article
The creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama, and director of the upcoming Slitterhead says he won't be "unsatisfied" even if it's the last game he makes. It's been quite a while since there's been a new game from Toyama, the lead behind the very first Silent Hill, as well as titles like the Siren and Gravity Rush series. Gravity Rush 2 was the last game the director made, in fact, way back in 2017, and later this year he's set to release Slitterhead, the debut title from his newest studio Bokeh Game Studio. While Toyama has been in the industry for many years now, he's not that old, but it also doesn't mean he's not thinking about his own future as a developer. In an interview with GamesRadar, the developer spoke of his hopes going forward, and what he aims to do in the industry. "From a personal perspective, I'm going into my mid-50s," Toyama said. "I don't feel like I'd be unsatisfied even if this was the last game I made." It should be noted that he did make it clear that he has no intention to stop making games, but the thing he's thinking about most is how he can set up future game developers for success. "I opened up this studio and we actually have a lot of new staff coming in, younger staff. I'm more concerned about what I can leave behind for them. Obviously I'm not saying this is my last game. But I think my last mission is to leave a path for these younger creators to work on what they want to." Read more View the full article

It was a wonderful weekend full of fighting game action thanks to CEO 2024, which was live in the USA. However, amidst many a tense match in Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and more, it was a Mortal Kombat 1 player that shattered expectations with an over-eager pop off. Dyloch, one of the best General Shao players in the world and multiple major tournament winner, managed to take home the first place belt at CEO for Mortal Kombat 1 as well as a tasty $565 in prize money. However, a few matches prior, in the winner's final, he celebrated his victory by picking up his chair and throwing it over the wrestling ring ropes surrounding the console set up. This chair, airborne and clearly in a juggle state, crashed down onto an Elation Chorus Line 16 LED light. You can buy one right now for the low, low price of $2,992. In response, tournament organizer Alex Jebailey posted several tweets, including one where he (perhaps jokingly) asks for Dyloch's Paypal because "somebody’s paying for that broken light fixture and it’s not me" and following this up with a declaration that: "If one more person pops off throwing anything you will be banned from any event I ever do. This is a final warning to anyone in the future. Do not throw things". Back in 2021, Jebailey took similar action against an attendee who pulled a ***** alarm at the event, forcing a mass evacuation and huge rock paper scissors exhibition. A few quests appear in the Wuthering Waves achievements screen that don’t seem anywhere, no matter how long you search for them, with one of these being Lores Beyond the Ranges. While you can find an exploration quest of the same name in Mt. ****** Slayer - The Movie: Mugen Train made a very large sum of money at the box office, so of course the series is being capped off with three more films. The release of ****** Slayer - The Movie: Mugen train was probably a bit of lightning in a bottle. It came out in October of 2020 in Japan, when there wasn't a huge amount of competition due to COVID, and people were able to go out and about (even if maybe they shouldn't have). This led to the film becoming the highest grossing film in Japan ever, taking home more than 40 billion yen, almost an entire 10 billion yen more than the previous record holder Spirited Away (which was released in 2021, mind you). So, it's wholly unsurprising that, following the final episode of the current season of anime, the official ********* ****** Slayer Twitter account shared that the manga's final arc will be covered by a trilogy of movies. This announcement will likely be welcomed by many fans of the series, as Mugen Train was a big event over in the West too, and it was paired with a teaser trailer that you can check out above. It doesn't show all that much, but it's obviously hinting at the series' last arc, Infinity Castle. Crunchyroll and Sony also announced that they had acquired the trio of movies for a global theatrical release (except for certain ****** territories and Japan). A release date hasn't been set just yet, and it's unclear how soon the films will release after one another, but we can probably expect something like a late 2025 release, or very early 2026 at the latest.
