  2. Valve shooter Deadlock already has a cheater problem, with clips posted online showing players curving bullets around walls, automatically targeting enemies, and more. As reported by 80 Level, Reddit user MintDoe posted a game replay which appears to show myriad cheaters participating in a Deadlock match. The clip opens with the accused perfectly timing a jump to avoid an unseen Lightning Ball before opening ***** immediately upon a wall where their opponents emerge from. This is a classic symptom of an aim **** mod, a cheat which automatically targets enemies even before they're visible to the player. This was even more evident when the focus switched to sniping character Vindicta. Taking a look at deadlock cheaters byu/MintDoe inSteam .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } Her crosshair of her **** was lined up directly through a wall in front of her, with no players visible, yet the bullets would hit them regardless. "She's just pulled a Wanted," one of the players commentating said, as the clip was paused to show the bullet changing direction in mid air. Reddit users in the comments insisted on the importance of reporting these cheaters, though MintDoe noted the direct reporting feature available in Deadlock doesn't actually let players choose cheating as an option. It can instead only be done through the official Deadlock Discord channel. Deadlock is a six versus six, third-person hero shooter with a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) twist, taking inspiration from genre classics such as Leage of Legends, Dota 2, and Heroes of the Storm. Valve seemingly looked to keep it a secret for weeks despite data showing that thousands of players were already online, but has now acknowledged its existence proper with an official Steam page. The game is invite only, however, with players only able to join if invited directly by Valve or referred by someone already playing. It's a certified hit despite this, having already crossed 100,000 concurrent players. Data from player tracking website SteamDB shows Deadlock crossed the 100,000 milestone on August 29, 2024, with exactly 106,447 players online at the same time. 3. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 publisher Focus Interactive and developer Saber Interactive have detailed the game’s first update. The patch, due out this week, “should” make: Multiple crashfix (start of the game, 1st cutscene ******, etc...)Improvement to CPU overheat issueServer improvementsRender bug improvements Since Space Marine 2’s early access launch, players have complained about numerous server problems and ****** issues. The server problems in particular, and the dreaded “joining server bug,” have made co-op play difficult for some problems, and even caused lost progression and rewards. Space Marine 2’s global release date is today, September 9, so it’s early days in the melee shooter’s life. But already its developers have talked about upcoming changes. IGN has reported on the addition of class matching for co-op, after players found themselves locked in a class standoff ahead of Operations mode missions. Meanwhile, we also have details on what fans can expect from Space Marine 2’s seasonal post-launch content model. Season 2 runs from October until the end of 2024, and includes a new Operations map, a new ******, a ******* difficulty level, a new *******, and various other improvements. Generally speaking, Space Marine 2 has enjoyed a huge early access launch and it looks set for increased popularity as it heads into its first full weekend on *****. IGN's Space Marine 2 review returned an 8/10. We said: "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 may not break the third-person shooter mold, but it looks amazing, makes good use of its Warhammer lore, and has brutal combat that just feels great." 4. What are the best Space Marine 2 loadouts? Befitting its name, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 brings a lot of firepower to the party, from flame-hurling Meltas to the punchy Heavy Bolt Rifle, and even a variety of class equipment. This makes creating the best Space Marine 2 builds for PvP and PvE co-op rather complicated. The first step in creating the best Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 loadouts, is deciding on which of the classes is your favorite. There are some slight differences between the PvP and co-op game mode versions, though the former mainly lacks a skill tree to tweak how each class plays. Nevertheless, both are fun additions once you've beaten the Space Marine 2 missions. Read the rest of the story... 7. Destiny 2 is almost getting a rebirth in the future. One of the steps to breathe new life into the game is tuning the rewards for core activities, Bungie said today. Bungie outlined the changes to rewards from specific activities in a blog post on Sept. 9. The new system aims to tackle the staleness of the loot chase from a rarely updated model by adding tiers to weapons and armor—though it’s unclear how they’ll work in practice. View the full article
  8. I recently moved to a suburban neighbourhood where there is lots of relatively "wild" parkland and a few raggedy patches of woodland. I like to walk in the woods around evening time, after a hard day of writing ******* listicles about Call Of Duty. Forests are a critical preoccupation of mine, actually - check this lumpen thinkypiece I wrote about Alan Wake 2 - but they're also spaces for retreat and reflection, where I can shrug off the angst and lose myself in the spectacle of sycamores and silverbirches, arching over the path. Except. Except that sooner or later I start thinking about the roots. Read more View the full article

One of the trickiest tasks you’ll come across asks you to bring an elemental force of nature her favorites. 10. Bungie teases its plans for Destiny 2 starting in 2025 with Codename Frontiers, the next phase of this live-service game, including two expansions, four free content updates, and plenty more. Following the well received Final Shape expansion, which put an end to the decade-long Light and Darkness storyline, things have not gone according to plan for Destiny 2. Bungie suffered through another major layoff, the game has been largely bleeding players, and there has been a general sense of worry regarding the game's future. View the full article

  12. Now, I could easily spend this entire article describing why Jasper Byrne's Lone Survivor is one of the most underrated games of the last 15 years. Feverish, frightening, and filled with myriad moments of affectionate human drama, it also boasts one of the greatest horror game soundtracks outside of Silent Hill, unsurprising, considering Byrne's similarly superlative work on the music for Hotline Miami. Remember that dizzying, bassy trance track that plays during the high-score screen? That's Jasper Byrne. 12 years ago the independent developer announced a new pixel-art RPG with hints of ******'s and Dark Souls - not long after, Byrne said the game was canceled. But time is a great healer and now, more than a decade later, the project has just been revived. Read the rest of the story... View the full article

Its new AMD Radeon GPUs will instead target mid-tier and budget gamers to help challenge Nvidia's dominance over the market. AMD confirmed the news during a question and answer session at the IFA 2024 tech showcase in Berlin. AMD is now going to "focus on scale" in an effort to hold "40 to 50 percent" of the GPU market by moving towards cards that can benefit a ******* share of gamers, rather than focusing on enthusiasts at the top end.
