  3. The Verge Microsoft is integrating Nvidia’s GeForce Now service into its store pages for Xbox games. The integration will allow you to pick between either Xbox Cloud Gaming or Nvidia’s GeForce Now service when you view a game listing on the web. Currently, Microsoft only lists its own Xbox Cloud Gaming service under “play with cloud gaming” on game listings, so it’s surprising to see the company add Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. At the time of publication, the new “play with cloud” button isn’t available just yet, so it’s not clear whether this is simply a link to the main home page of GeForce Now or whether this deep links and launches the game directly on Nvidia’s cloud gaming service. Play your games the way you want, where you want! S... Continue reading… View the full article

  7. Modern Warfare 3’s wealth of SMGs grows yet again in season five with another awesome close-range damage-dealing machine. The newest SMG to join Call of Duty this year is the Static-HV, an SMG that comes with a starting magazine of 50 rounds, so it’s a bit of a bullet hose to use up close to clear out rooms full of enemies, regardless of the mode you prefer to play. 8. With most titles releasing on multiple platforms, crossplay has evolved into a necessity in the gaming world. But despite being fully cross-platform compatible, Helldivers 2’s crossplay stopped working at times, causing confusion among the player base. I play Helldivers 2 with a tight-knit squad, and I’m the only non-PC player. Upon agreeing to try the game together, I thought we’d have a relatively smooth experience since Helldivers 2 is crossplay and cross-platform. Though the game doesn’t have cross-save or cross-progression, those weren’t deal-breakers, as we were simply looking to wreak havoc together. 9. Exploration is a critical gameplay element in Once Human. Not only does it unlock additional areas for you to explore full resources, but there’s plenty of *******, gear, and Mystical crates you can find throughout each region—including East Blackfell Junction. The *******, gear, and Mystical crates are hidden throughout each highlighted region in Once Human. The more you explore an area, the more rewards you can expect to get before you move on to the next location. These rewards are important to improving your gear and strengthening your character, but narrowing down the crate locations of the ones at East Blackfell Junction can be challenging. 10. Genshin Impact‘s developers have reverted a highly contested change to Neuvillette’s charged attacks—and players can expect great rewards in compensation. Neuvillette is one of Genshin Impacts’ most powerful five-star units, capable of using his Charged ******* to launch massive blasts of water that deal consistent damage. However, many PC players combined this ability with high DPI on their mouse to spin around and deal damage in a 360-degree area, something the developers attempted to rectify. 11. One of the best things about Baldur's Gate 3 is how well it translates the strengths of Dungeons & Dragons into video game form, but it's not able to recapture everything that makes the tabletop game great. From the lack of a dungeon master to limits on levels and spells, wrangling everything into a manageable package requires some limitations. At the same time, Baldur's Gate 3 is also capable of having its own unique perks, and one upcoming addition to the game could be a nice benefit of that sort. View the full article

This storyline continues to breach the mystery of the Conductor and takes guardians deeper through Nessus in new Battlegrounds activities. Once you’ve collected Code Mutations and finished both Battlegrounds Delve and Conduit, however, your progress may come to a halt. 15. Foxhole has always been one of the most unique games in the MMO space. Unlike genre mainstays World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, or Lost Ark, Foxhole looks outside of the fantasy realm for inspiration, basing its online play on a grim chapter of real world history, with enormous clashes between armies fought in a setting that resembles World War II battlefields. This has always made it a compelling concept, but, thanks to a new patch that further refines and adds onto the base game and its Naval Warfare update, Foxhole is drumming up even more interest on Steam. 19. Mario[/i] over and over... and over... and over."> Enlarge / Get ready to repeat this ~25-second slice of Mario over and over... and over... and over. [/url] If you've ever seen a record-breaking video game speedrun or watched a Games Done Quick marathon, you may have entertained fantasies that you, too, could put up some decent times on your favorite old games. Sure, it'd probably take a bit of practice, but what these speedrunners are doing doesn't look that difficult, does it? How hard can it be to press a few buttons with good timing for a few minutes? After spending a few weeks with Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, I no longer think that way. The game's *****-size chunks of classic Nintendo games highlight the level of precision needed for even a few minutes of speedrunning perfection, not to mention the tedium of practicing the same in-game motions dozens of times to build up the needed muscle memory. In the process, I gained a newfound respect for the skill displayed by the best speedrunners and found a fresh way to experience some classic NES games that I felt I knew backward and forward. Gotta go fast While Nintendo World Championships draws its name from a series of competitions dating back to 1990, it draws its inspiration much more directly from the more recent rise of the online speedrunning community. Thus, the game's main single-player mode is named "Speedrun," tasking players with putting up the fastest times in 150 mini-challenges spread across 13 different, Nintendo-developed NES titles. 22. Controversial political commentator and streamer Steven “Destiny” Bonnell was recently banned by Kick, his primary streaming platform. The company cited “hate speech” as the reason. Another popular streamer, Asmongold, has now condemned Kick’s decision, labeling it “asymmetrical” and hypocritical. “I disagree with this, I don’t think he should be banned,” Asmongold said during a July 17 stream. He added how Kick allows “people that are committing felonies” to stream with no issue, making its approach to Destiny hypocritical. The streamer agreed that Destiny’s actions warranted some response, believing it would have been more appropriate to take away sponsorship deals and partnerships rather than outright removing him from the platform.
