  1. There are times when bringing along your Switch dock could be useful. Unfortunately, the original Switch dock isn't exactly tiny, and it can be a hassle to remove it from its spot at home. If so, here's a very inexpensive solution. Amazon currently has the Poweradd 65W Nintendo Switch Dock Charger for only $10.79 after you clip the 20% off coupon on the product page and apply 50% off code "ESBRBEUE" at checkout. This "dock" is as small as a standard wall charger, has both USB Type-C and HDMI ports just like the original Switch dock, and supports up to 65W of Power Delivery, more than enough to charge the Nintendo Switch at its maximum rate. Poweradd 65W Portable Nintendo Switch Dock Charger The Poweradd dock charger plugs directly into an outlet and has four ports: a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-A port, an HDMI port, and an ethernet port. The USB Type-C port supports Power Delivery up to 65W, which is enough juice to charge the Switch at its maximum rate of 18W. At its fastest rate, the Switch will continue charging even while you're playing games. The HDMI port connects your Switch to your TV. The Poweradd supports up to 4K resolutions at 60Hz, which is more than good enough for the Nintendo Switch, since the most it can output is 1080p at 60Hz. The biggest advantage of the Poweradd is that it is considerably smaller than the Switch dock. That makes it much easier to stow this away in your bag without having to buy yet another larger Switch case. A USB Type-C cable is already included as well, so all you need to supply is your Nintendo Switch and an HDMI cable. This 65W model is also great for Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally The Nintendo Switch isn't the only console that works well with this dock. The Steam Deck accepts up to 40W of charging and the ASUS ROG Ally up to 65W. The Poweradd dock can charge either at the maximum charging rate. The HDMI output is also compatible with both for streaming to an external TV or monitor. Both the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally can output up to 4K resolution at 60Hz over HDMI, so they can take better advantage of this charger than the Switch can. 11. Meta has just unveiled the Meta Quest 3S, a new lower-cost variant of its Quest 3 VR headset that does include some downgrades but still makes for a compelling offer thanks to an amazingly low price. While the Quest 3 has just been discounted to $429.99, the new Quest 3S comes in at just $299.99. With the Quest 3 riding high as the best VR headset you can buy right now, Meta certainly knows a thing or two about making a headset for the masses but this new low entry price for the Meta Quest 3S takes the situation to a whole new level. 14. Rocksteady is adding Deadshot's daughter Zoe Lawton, supervillain alias Lawless, to ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League on October 1. The studio announced the new character in an X/Twitter post alongside word that Season 3 begins on the same day. Lawless is the daughter of Deadshot who has appeared in the lore of ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League for a while, but only now confirmed as an official playable character. That being said, leaks from earlier this year revealed she would eventually be added to the game. The announcement will still come as welcome news to fans, of course, given the rocky nature of ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League. It launched in January 2024 as a live-service game featuring the likes of Harley Quinn and Deadshot, and issues emerged almost immediately as players who paid extra to play sooner were kicked out after an hour as Rocksteady dealt with a bug. This was the first of several frustrations for fans and ******** Squad ******* to sell well, being dubbed a disappointment by Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav. Staff were reportedly ***** off at Rocksteady earlier in September. Its critical reception was just as poor, as in our 5/10 review, IGN said: "******** Squad: ***** the Justice League is a repetitive and bland looter-shooter that, despite an engaging story, never stays fun for long enough." 15. Ubisoft has certainly seen better days. As the week progresses, it appears the French developer is facing yet another massive issue—a potential strike come October. Staff members of Ubisoft France do not wish to comply with the company’s return-to-office call and also demand better pay amid rising prices. According to gameindustry.biz’s report from Sept. 26, those working at Ubisoft’s French division have been “called to take part in a three-day strike” in October due to a dispute over the company’s decision to require workers to return to its offices at least three times a week. The strike, instigated by the French Video Game Workers Union (STJV), is planned to take place between Oct. 15 and 17, and comes because Ubisoft apparently made its decisions “without any tangible justification or any consultation with the workers’ representatives.” View the full article
