Sylvio, a first person horror game series that debuted back in 2015, is among the best indie entries to the genre. Endearingly strange and genuinely creepy, the first two Sylvio games focused on solving puzzles, occasionally ********* monsters with a glorified potato ****, and deciphering messages from the ***** by scanning through static drenched recordings of the kind ghost hunters love to collect from crumbling old buildings. It's been nearly seven years since Sylvio 2 came out, though, which suggested that creator Stroboskop had moved on from the series. The developers of Mortal Kombat 1 wasted no time talking about all of the upcoming content coming to year two of the popular fighting game. At their San Diego Comic **** panel, a new trailer for the upcoming Khaos Reigns update featured new characters, new fatalities, and even a new story expansion. These new story chapters will follow an alternate timeline version of Havik seeking to take over the main timeline, and Earthrealm’s champions coming together to stop him. This story expansion will see the return of three classic characters: Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax. Like many characters in the rebooted Mortal Kombat 1 timeline, these three legacy characters will have radically different origin stories alongside reinventions of their classic fighting styles. The Sims 4 Lovestruck Expansion Pack aims to bring romance to new heights for Simmers, though its drastic variances in depth make for DLC that's difficult to recommend at full price. Much like Growing Together, this new release puts a large focus on interpersonal dynamics, though to less success than the aforementioned EP. Lovestruck brings back some beloved concepts from past games like The Sims 2: Nightlife and The Sims: Hot Date alongside a few new ideas that make for entertaining drama, but it overall feels stretched too thin, and would've been much better suited to a Game Pack. Back in 2021, The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante came out, providing audiences with an unique game that blends strategy and RPG game style decision making with the story focused design of a visual novel, all presented through an eye catching hand illustrated aesthetic.
