  1. PlayStation's 2025 ****** Friday ***** is well underway, running right through to December 1, and a fresh wave of newly added games has just dropped into the mix. A stack of strong PS5 titles are already discounted across every major retailer, including standouts like Astro Bot at $39.99, Battlefield 6 at $52.99, and Spider-Man 2 at $29.99. To keep things straight, I've broken out my top picks into two buckets: the newest heavy hitters of 2025 and the rest of the must-play releases from the PS5's nearly five-year run. 2025 PS5 Games on ***** for ****** Friday For the uninitiated, ****** Friday deals tend to go live a week early these days, so while ****** Friday isn't until Nov. 28, we've already got all the best discounts on PS5 games to check out. Standout offers for 2025 PS5 games include a few of my personal favorites, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Assassin's Creed Shadows for just $30 - even better deals now Walmart's ****** Friday ***** is live. That also applies to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which was down to $50 earlier this week, but now only $30 at Walmart. I can see that one selling out fast! I also love to sing the praises of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 as well, and that's just hit its lowest price ever as part of the ****** Friday sales. Again, it's just $30 at Amazon right now, a huge $40 in savings. More PS5 Game Deals for ****** Friday The first party PlayStation cuts are genuinely worth a look this time, particularly the newer stuff. Astro Bot, the reigning Game of the Year 2024 winner, sits at $39.99 and it earns every cent. If you want more, Helldivers 2, Spider-Man 2, and both The Last of Us titles are holding steady at $29.99. Stellar Blade drops to $39.99, and Horizon Forbidden West hits a frankly silly $19.99. Walmart has also thrown Elden Ring and Star Wars Outlaws into the mix for $15 each in a fresh batch of deals that just went live. Both feature in our top games under $20 roundup for a reason, because $15 for either is a no brainer. PS5 Digital Game Deals and More I've barely scratched the surface across the sales as well, as there's even more games to check out between now and ****** Friday, including a 2025 Game of the Year nominee, Death Stranding 2, for $49.69. That's $20 off, and matches the best deal on the game so far this year. There's also $20 discounts on big Konami hits like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and Silent Hill f, both also down to $48.99 from $69.99. Both of these can be found in Best Buy's ****** Friday sales, or via the PlayStation Store's digital storefront. That's alongside new all time low prices on physical copies of Battlefield 6, down to $52.99, EA Sports FC 26 for $29.99, Borderlands 4 for $47.99, and more. These are cheaper than buying digitally, small differences for some, while ******* for others. For example, Battlefield 6 is a significally better deal when buying a physical copy ($52.99 vs $59.49), while where as some games like Death Stranding 2 are just a tiny bit cheaper digitally ($49.69 vs $49.99). So, sometimes it comes in handy to have a disc drive (I'm looking at you, PS5 Pro owners). Other standout offers in the PlayStation 2025 ****** Friday ***** include $100 off PS5 consoles and PlayStation VR2 bundles, $20 off DualSense Controllers and PlayStation Portal, and up to 33% off PlayStation Plus memberships. There are plenty more games on ***** that we haven't mentioned either, so be sure to check out the full PS5 sales pages at retailers like Amazon as well. Should You Wait for ****** Friday on November 28? ****** Friday deals are a bit of a mess these days. Retailers spend the whole of November dangling so called limited time offers, but the truth is simple, the real discounts always land about a week before what I call "****** Friday proper". And we're already in the endgame now. After over six years of tracking PlayStation pricing, one pattern never breaks, once a PlayStation deal goes live, it barely moves. So the prices you're seeing right now on consoles, controllers, and games are almost certainly the prices you'll be looking at through to early December. If you've been sitting on your hands waiting for something better, stop. This is as good as it's getting. Grab what you've been eyeing up, because the only thing you're risking at this point is missing out. Planning to grab anything in PlayStation's ****** Friday *****? 2. The upcoming remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time may make the Prince’s companion Farah a stronger character, a leaked document suggests. Slides from an internal 2024 Ubisoft presentation deck were revealed in a YouTube video earlier today, including motion capture clips, alpha gameplay shots and concept art. The video was quickly taken offline following a copyright claim by Ubisoft, but not before The Game Post was able to report on its contents. Read More... View the full article
  3. Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive allows you to try out different builds for Sung Jinwoo, and every class has unique skills. While the gacha has been removed, the core system for building up Jinwoo remains the same as in the mobile version. Every class has different skills, but you can't get all of them unlocked at the same time. This guide will give you a brief idea about the skills you should unlock, based on your chosen class. 4. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 voice actor Charlie Cox said at a late November event that any accolades he may earn for his portrayal of Gustave should go to the motion capture actor who portrayed him instead. 8. Far Cry is taking its special brand of mayhem to FX and streaming service Hulu with a new series based on the games. Alien Earth's Noah Hawley is producing with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob Mac starring and producing. “What I love about the Far Cry game franchise is it’s an anthology. Each game is a variation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a variation on a theme,” said Hawley. “To create a big action show that can change from year to year, while always exploring the nature of humanity through this complex and chaotic lens is a dream come true. I’m excited to partner with Rob and bring our shared irreverent, ambitious sensibility to the screen.” The plan is for each season of the show to take on a new setting, similar to the games with Mac in the starring role. Details on the release date or content are still under wraps, but the games have given us everything from Montana, USA to the Himalayas and cults, insane dictators and pirates, so there's plenty to work with. "Getting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realized," added Mac, who also worked with Ubisoft on Apple's Mythic Quest, where he played a game developer. "Ubisoft has been remarkably generous, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX family continues to lift me up with their constant belief and support." Rachel Weber is the Senior Editorial Director of Games at IGN and an elder millennial. I say sort of, because it's described as a shared open world, meaning you can see other players, and there are some MMO elements, but its monetisations are much more gacha like. Or, well, they are until tomorrow, November 25th, as in quite a big move developer Hotta Studio is stripping Tower of Fantasy of all of its gacha elements. Read more View the full article

  19. Fortnite's new season and chapter begin this weekend, and a new edition of the music mode Fortnite Festival along with it. And it's gotten a tremendous headliner for players to invest in. The reactions to the announcement of LISA being this season's headliner have been across the spectrum. For every excited fan in the know there's been another person who genuinely wasn't aware of who she was, and then sadly some others who like to wear their sexism or xenophobia proudly. [Hidden Content] I wasn't fully aware of who LISA was either, before this year. I knew of her vaguely. And then the social media algorithm put her front and center and put me in an absolute chokehold that's sent me on a wild new adventure when it comes to fandom and music enjoyment. If it wasn't clips of her Hot Ones interview or her song with Doja Cat and Raye, it was her acting debut on HBO. LISA was everywhere. And so, finally, I gave in. I saw that her group Blackpink was coming to my area at the end of July and so I started listening to her and the group's music. I took my girlfriend to the show that summer, and was absolutely blown away by her and the group, and I've been hooked ever since. Over the past five or so months, I have become a LISA fan (we're called Lilies) and Blackpink fan (we're called Blinks), and so when I saw the Fortnite announcement this weekend, I just about screamed. But then I saw the negativity surrounding the news (wholly unsurprising), and it annoyed me. Within the noise, though, there were many people who genuinely and earnestly were not in the know about who she is or why she is so relevant. That's why I'm here today, to give a quick ****** course on who LISA is and why she's a perfect pick for Fortnite Festival. Who is LISA? Fortnite Festival headliner Image via Epic Games To put it simply, the Thailand-born LISA is one of the most influential celebrities in the entire world in 2025. She is one of the members of the most popular K-pop girl group in the world, Blackpink, and a solo musician as well. Even if you haven't heard of LISA, you've likely heard of Blackpink. Since debuting in 2016, Blackpink has grown massively in popularity and global superstardom. They are the most-streamed female group on Spotify, and most-viewed music group channel on YouTube where the ********* has over 99 million subscribers. As a group and individual acts they have won many awards and accolades, and are some of the most successful musicians in the world in recent years. Over the past year or so, LISA has begun to branch out into a solo career, as have her groupmates Rosé (of three-time Grammy-nominated song "APT" fame with Bruno Mars), Jennie, and Jisoo. Now at 28 years old, LISA is ready to supplement her Blackpink success with a solo endeavor that's just getting started. She launched her first solo album, Alter Ego, in February, and a new Blackpink song "JUMP" in July. The group has been selling out stadiums on its DEADLINE world tour since July, across North America, Europe, and Asia (all four girls play some of their solo songs as part of the setlists). And now, she's bringing her talents and influence to Fortnite Festival. Boasting over 140 million followers on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube combined, when LISA posts about something, people are guaranteed to pay attention. It's reported that with her following, LISA earns upwards of $1.6 million per post on IG, and around $750,000 per IG story, because she just has that big of an influence on those who follow her. Her audience is massive. Blackpink in 2025. From L-R: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Image via Spotify You know that whole Labubu craze that's taken hold over the past year or so? A lot of the hype and popularity can be traced back to LISA who was an early adopter of the funny-looking POP MART dolls. She even dressed up as a Labubu for one of Blackpink's London concerts this summer. A few months ago, LISA posted a photo of a matcha drink from a chain called Heytea, and demand for the beverage skyrocketed. The chain even crafted a special drink in her honor. Whatever she does or posts about online is influential and carries a lot of weight and consumer potential. Epic Games knows this. LISA's Fortnite Festival pass and store bundles will sell very well, because she is one of the most marketable and lucrative names and faces in all of music and entertainment right now, whether you knew her before today or not. LISA's reach previously stemmed from mostly Asia, as the Thailand-born rapper/singer/dancer debuted with Blackpink in South Korea. But since then, she and the group have gone global, and she's not just restricting herself to music either. Earlier this year, she made her acting debut in season three of The White Lotus on HBO, and I and many others felt enamored with her in every scene she appeared in. LISA is soon to be a worldwide household name with how hard she's worked and how big she has become, and she's not stopping any time soon. She recently signed with WME for acting representation and Wasserman Music for solo touring representation. She's been connected to numerous future acting projects, including a potential new Netflix film. She's been named the official ambassador for the Tourism Authority of Thailand. She still has Blackpink DEADLINE tour dates on the calendar. And now she's in Fortnite, which may be the biggest fame indicator there is. This weekend, she'll join the Fortnite Festival headliner ranks of such superstars as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter, Snoop Dogg, Karol G, Metallica, Hatsune Miku, and Gorillaz as the only acts to take center stage in the mode. That's good company, and she more than deserves it. Lisa as Mook in season 3 of The White Lotus. Image via HBO Whether you like her inclusion in the game or not is irrelevant. She's coming for the crown in all forms of entertainment, and I and other Lilies will be cheering her on along the way. The post If you don’t know who Fortnite Festival’s LISA is, you’re not alone. But soon, the entire world will be aware appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
