Velma season 2 finally has a trailer ahead of its premiere later this month, showing that the titular character is leading a new life - a popular one. When the first season of Velma released last year, it didn't exactly go down well with… well, anyone, to be honest. Clearly it was popular enough to warrant a second season though, as the first trailer for it came out yesterday, showing off a look at Velma's life post-solving her first case. Like the first season, it looks like there'll be more teen angst, difficult relationships, and *********. This time around it appears that there's a serial ******* targeting men, but unsurprisingly the mystery as to why is something you'll have to see solved in the show itself. Mindy Kaling returns as the titular Velma for season 2, alongside Constance Wu as Daphne, Sam Richardson as Norville (aka Shaggy), and Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton as Fred. Spoilers here for the first season of the show if you haven't watched it and do actually want to check it out, but the trailer also shows Norville struggling with hallucinations of Fred's mother Victoria, who he accidentally caused the ****** of after it came to light that she was the ********* from season 1. Of course, because this is an ****** show you have to remember, the apparent cure for this is **********. Read more View the full article
Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead has released yet another update for the PlayStation 5 and PC third-person co-op shooter, this time patch 01.000.203. This update includes fixes to armor passives as well as various improvements to stability, Arrowhead said in the patch notes, below. Of most interest is a fix for the CE-27 Ground Breaker medium armor, which now has the Engineer Kit passive as previously advertised. Ground Breaker was added to Helldivers 2 as part of the recently released Premium Warbond, Democratic Detonation, and players soon discovered it had the wrong passive attached. Elsewhere, the update fixes a number of crashes and a troubling issue that caused different damage to be dealt to enemies between PC and console players. And Arrowhead has updated its helpful ‘known issues’ list to include a fix for the Superior Packing Methodology ship module, also added last week. This useful new ship upgrade makes resupply boxes refill support weapons with the maximum number of carriable magazines, so hopefully a fix is due soon. I've been watching this year's ostensible "major" news developments - the launch of a Fallout TV show, the development of Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, to pick a couple - with a sense of zealous disapproval and weary resignation as to the hubris of human beings. Do these brazen publishers and developers not know that this, the year 2024, is the Year of Shadow the Hedgehog? ***** said as much only a few days ago. They've announced a series of fan celebrations for Sonic Adventure 2's Ultimate Lifeform, beginning in the traditional style with a Shadow-themed MotoGP bike and an associated LEGO tie-in. And now, the earth quakes underfoot as we learn via The Hollywood Reporter that Keanu Reeves, forgotten star of 90s romantic drama A Walk in the Clouds and also those recent John Wick films, will play Shadow in the forthcoming movie adaptation Sonic 3. Cutting content is unavoidable in video games due to tight schedules and deadlines, and Baldur’s Gate 3 almost added one of the most iconic NPCs to your roster of companions. On April 15, a player called TheCrowsPalace shared on Baldur’s Gate 3’s subreddit that Alfira was supposed to be your companion. It seems there are remnants in the code hinting she was a companion. I sort of ******* that the Fallout TV show has Easter eggs hidden in it because it, as a whole, is the equivalent of one of those fancy Hotel Chocolat ostrich-sized patisserie collection bastards that cost 40 quid. However. Eagle-eyed viewers of the Fallout show noted that episode 6 gives you a number for Valt-Tec that you can actually get in touch with - 213-25-VAULT (or, 213-258-2858). Charges apply, as well as international codes if you're outside the US, which makes it 001-213-258-2858. If you text the number you get a reply from Vault-Tec saying "The next available appointment is 33 weeks from now, please stand by!" (handily captured by X user FanaticalGuy cos my response hasn't come through yet). And then the significantly less immersive "Reply Y to get recurring marketing and other texts from FallOut", which is quite funny. There is speculation that this is just a reference to Vault 33, the vault where main character Lucy was born and raised. On the other hand, 33 weeks from now is November, the month when both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 came out. Read more View the full article
The Fallout TV series released last week, and it’s been a big hit. Over three weeks, some of these tests will be rolled out in the game as content updates that will impact certain gameplay and visual areas. While Amazon's Fallout TV show crammed in more than enough references, easter eggs, and cameos - to the extent that a lot of us are still digging through them nearly a week on - there's still plenty left on the table for future episodes. Assuming a second series does go ahead, as we expect, you might get to hear a familiar voice from the Capital Wasteland take on an interesting new role. Which voice, you ask? Well, remember when you had to do a bit of satelite dish maintenance in order to learn some more info regarding what on earth the Lone Wanderer's dad had been up to after he skedaddled out of Vault 101? Yeah, the guy that gave you that little mission. Yep, it's everyone's favorite Galaxy News Radio personality, Three Dog, eeeeeoooooowwww (sorry, had to). Responding to a tweet from a fan suggesting they'd have loved to have heard him in the first series of Fallout, (thanks, TheGamer), Erik Todd Dellums, the Fallout 3 radio host's voice actor, has suggested he'd be open to making a cameo, but not as Three Dog. After months of rumours, speculation, and fan castings, it finally seems like the one and only Keanu Reeves has been cast as Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 3. Many loved the idea of The Batman's Robert Pattinson as Shadow, others hoped that rumour about Anakin Skywalker himself Hayden Christensen taking it on was true, but somehow the casting gods have given us an even better result: Keanu Reeves. This comes from sources that spoke with The Hollywood Reporterhttps://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/keanu-reeves-joins-sonic-3-shadow-1235874487/, so it's not outright set in stone just yet, but THR has a long history of accurately reporting on behind the scenes news in the film industry so it's a safe bet. The casting also follows on from last week's CinemaCon, where Paramount showed off some footage of the upcoming sequel exclusively to attendees. Footage apparently showed a depressed and out of shape Dr. Robotnik, once again played by Jim Carrey, as well as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all fighting against Shadow. Another scene also showed Sonic fighting Shadow one on two, the second part of Shadow being a motorbike, an iconic vehicle of his from his PS2 solo game. We don't actually know all that much about this threequel aside from Shadow being the new protagonist, aside from the fact that it will feature the series' best song. Outside of Carrey, we do also know that Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Cristo Fernandez (Ted Lasso), as well as others, have joined the cast. Read more View the full article

Not all VALORANT agents are built to dominate the meta—and Iso is a blaring example of this. Considering his underwhelming pick rate across VCT and ranked, players are now highlighting Iso’s incompetency compared to his agile and self-sufficient peers. Unfortunately, there’s not much to fix either. In a Reddit thread on April 15, several players got together to discuss potential ways to buff VALORANT’s latest duelist agent—but none of the ideas seem balanced enough to make the cut. Ubisoft has responded to the ongoing backlash against the Star Wars Outlaws season pass, insisting Jabba the Hutt is part of the experience for all players. The publisher has come under ***** for locking the Jabba’s Gambit mission behind Star Wars Outlaws' controversial season pass, which comes with the $109.99 gold edition and even more expensive $129.99 ultimate edition. "Play the exclusive Jabba's Gambit mission at launch," the Season Pass explainer reads. "Just as Kay is putting together a crew for the Canto Bight heist, she receives a job from Jabba the Hutt himself. Turns out that ND-5 owes Jabba a debt from years ago, and he has come to collect." The revelation sparked a backlash, with some players criticizing Ubisoft’s decision to lock a mission behind a season pass for what is a full-price, single-player only game. Now, Ubisoft has issued a statement, insisting Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel “will be part of the experience” for all players, regardless of which edition they buy. "To clarify, Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel are one of the main syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws and will be part of the experience for everyone who purchases the game, regardless of edition," a Ubisoft spokesperson told IGN. "The 'Jabba’s Gambit' mission is an optional, additional mission with the Hutt Cartel along Kay and Nix's journey across the Outer Rim. This mission will be available to those who purchase the season pass or an edition of the game which includes the season pass." However, the scope of the Jabba’s Gambit mission ******** unclear, leaving those who do not buy the season pass unsure of what they’re missing out on. Ubisoft has said in the past that players can work for and even betray Jabba as the head of one of Star Wars Outlaws' ********* factions. "To clarify, Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel are one of the main syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws and will be part of the experience for everyone who purchases the game, regardless of edition. Star Wars Outlaws was revealed in 2023 as a scoundrel adventure set between Star Wars: Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode 6 - Return of the Jedi. It stars Key Vess, her droid partner ND-5, and her beastie companion Nix as they attempt to carve out their own success during Star Wars' golden era of ********* activity. It arrives August 27, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, with the $70 Standard Edition joined by the aforementioned $110 Gold Edition, which comes with three days of early access alongside the Season Pass. While speculation about Helldivers 2 content is often sourced from little more than leaks and datamining, it’s rare to see Arrowhead Studios dropping so many hints. Yet, when it comes to slapping bugs with greatswords, these devs seem as eager to see it happen as we are. One member of the Arrowhead team, community manager Twinbeard, really likes the idea of melee. Responding to speculation online as early as late February—a mere two weeks after the release of Helldivers 2—Twinbeard responded to a Diver excited about what is next to come in the newly-released game: “If you or I could look into the.. heads of our devs, I’m sure we’d find dozens of ideas.
