  1. Blizzard Entertainment is teasing an Overwatch 2 Transformers crossover when Season 11 arrives in just a few days. The quick tease arrives at the tail end of a new Season 11 trailer that premiered earlier today. It takes up so little space in the video that there’s a good chance many may have missed it, but those who stuck around to the end will catch the familiar Autobot logo and its iconic transformation sound effect. That’s all we can see from what will inevitably become a full-fledged collaboration between Overwatch 2 and Transformers for now. Thankfully, this is far from the first time Blizzard has tied its hero shooter in with another property, so we at least have a few guesses about how the Autobot and Decepticon content will eventually roll out. One of the earliest collabs saw One Punch Man skins making their way into the game, giving characters like Doomfist, Genji, Soldier 76, and Kiriko outfits themed after characters like Saitama, Genos, Mumen Rider, and Terrible Tornado. This same crossover event introduced additional anime-themed challenges, poses, voice lines, and more. Other crossovers brought IP like Cowboy Bebop, Diablo, and even Porsche into the fold, with each giving at least one character special skins for players to purchase and wear into battle. While the Cowboy Bebop event saw Overwatch 2’s resident cowboy, Cole Cassidy, getting a Spike Spiegel skin, we can probably guess that some of Blizzard's many robotic characters will be the ones gifted Transformers skins this time around. Our eyes are on heroes like Bastion, Orisa, Zenyatta, Ramattra, and Echo. Overwatch 2 Season 11 drops June 20. While it’s unclear how and when the Transformers content will appear, today’s trailer gives players a look at a lot of the other highlights the forthcoming additions will bring. This season’s battle pass is Ultrawatch superhero-themed, introducing a long list of very '90s, Power Rangers-like cosmetics to suit up with. Ashe gets the Mythic skin this time around, meaning her ****** counterpart, B.O.B., gets some powerful new threads, too. Other promising additions include items that celebrate Overwatch 2 reaching the 100 million-player milestone, a new Push map called Runasapi, a Mythic ******* for Reinhardt, and a rework for the Colosseo map. For more on how Blizzard is keeping Overwatch 2 up to date, you can read up on why the studio chose to remove its Hero Mastery Gauntlet PvE mode last month. Then be sure to check out our 8/10 Overwatch 2 review, where we said, “Overwatch 2’s switch to a 5v5 format breathes new life into what was once the sharpest shooter around. It just hasn’t quite recaptured all of that glory – yet.” Michael Cripe is a freelance contributor with IGN. 3. The upcoming June 2024 Nintendo Direct event is set to be a big one for the company. Before any big announcements have arrived, Zelda fans are eagerly awaiting news for their favorite classic titles to make their way onto the Switch before Nintendo switches gears toward a new console. The classic titles The Legend of Zelda fans are asking for are Nintendo ports of The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Both games are well within being 20 years old. The Wind Waker was initially released on the GameCube and had a remaster to the Wii U, and Twilight Princess was released on the Wii and GameCube. Zelda fans hope they can finally get their hands on proper Nintendo ports for these two beloved games, especially as the upcoming June 2024 Nintendo Direct is hyped up as a huge event. 4. Overwatch 2’s latest season has a decidedly “****’s afternoon television” vibe, so the upcoming IP collaboration is absolutely perfect—and it will definitely be more than meets the eye. At the very end of today’s trailer for season 11 in OW2, Super Mega Ultrawatch, a short teaser clip confirmed the next IP to join the franchise, and it’s none other than the Transformers, confirmed by the Overwatch logo transforming into an Autobots one. 5. Dragon Age: Origins is, for me, the magnum opus of companion-centric RPGs. There's romance and flirting, bickering and all-out fighting, all made plausible by a colorful cast of perfectly crafted fantasy characters. While Dragon Age 2 featured the excellent Fenris and Isabela, and Inquisition ******* it with Solas and Josephine (although I still want Vivienne), both have since been outclassed by Larian's Baldur's Gate 3. Given I still see Astarion's face at least once a day on my Twitter timeline, BG3 feels like 'the game to live up to,' so I ask Dragon Age: The Veilguard's creative director, John Epler, if BG3's success scares him. 6. You've probably spotted the mysterious Banana game that has scaled the Steam charts over the past week or so, overtaking everything except for Counter-Strike 2 - and even then, it's sometimes pretty close. 7. Following a few months of stability, AMD graphics card prices are once again on the move, and it's thankfully in the direction that benefits anyone looking to save some money while upgrading. The ASRock RX 7800XT Challenger OC has now fallen $20 below the $499 MSRP, and you can save a further $10 with a handy discount code. We've listed the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT as the best graphics card under $500, meaning this latest price drop makes for even better value, as long as you're not chasing the supreme ray tracing performance of a high-end card like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. 8. Gabe Follower, one of the most reputable CS2 data miners and leakers, has hinted at a new CS2 operation being on the horizon. Today marks precisely 1,000 days since the last operation, Riptide, launched, making it a special occasion for an operation-related *****. The leaker posted several CS2 Workshop maps on X (formerly Twitter) on June 16, saying he’s just “gonna leave them there” without any extra context. The maps include FMPONE’s (creator of Cache) Thera, as well as Memento, Assembly, and the Pool Day remake. These four cover all of CS2‘s existing game modes, with Memento and Pool Day targeting Wingman and the Arms Race, while Thera and Assembly have been made with Competitive and Casual in mind. Gabe Follower also attached Mills in a follow-up tweet, completing his hint that these maps could be featured in an upcoming CS2 operation. View the full article
