  1. A new Nightingale update has just launched, and it's starting to feel like Inflexion's 'gaslamp fantasy' adventure is finally beginning to achieve what it set out to do. Launched in 2024, it struggled to compete in a year absolutely stacked with some of the best survival games. Against Palworld, Enshrouded, Once Human, The Planet Crafter, Sons of the Forest 1.0, and fresh updates for established stalwarts like Valheim and Rust, Nightingale's beautiful visuals weren't enough to compensate for a lack of depth. Yet a year and a half later, its Steam reviews are finally sitting in the blue, and now there's yet another reason to check in. Read the rest of the story... 2. Cyberpunk remains a staple of the tabletop space, from the iconic RPG of the same name to the many others it inspired. Yet surprisingly, the classic cyberpunk anime Ghost in the Shell never got a chance to clatter some dice. That all changed when Don't Panic Games announced a project with Ghost in the Shell way back in 2020. After five years, the long-awaited TTRPG finally gets details, in a collaboration with Mana Project Studio. Read the rest of the story... 3. Another year, another creature-collecting game looking to light the world aflame. And those eager to capture more tiny computer critters have made Elestrals Awakened, a 16-bit retro throwback to some of the best JRPGs, the most-funded videogame project on Kickstarter this year, breaking the $1,400,000 mark with the help of over 10,000 backers before the campaign ran its pre-determined course. That means colorful creatures like Arcalith, Helialith, and Verdalith are now set to join characters like Heracles in their videogame debut in... 2027. If we're lucky. Read the rest of the story... 4. Gearbox Software's Borderlands series is a space western first-person shooter, where players merrily blast their way across the planet Pandora in search of vaults of alien tech. It has made the leap from screen to tabletop once before, back in 2023, with the release of Mister Torgue's Arena of Badassery. Now, another Borderlands board game is on the horizon, as Mister Torgue gets ready to open his arena once again. Read the rest of the story... 8. With Path of Exile, PoE 2, and Diablo 4 clashing as the current ARPG titans, and other heavy hitters such as Last Epoch and Torchlight Infinite also on a regular schedule, it can be tough to keep up. Lately, I've been reminded that the best RPGs don't always need to be never-ending behemoths that stretch on for season after season. Whether it's The Slormancer or Hell Clock, I've got a lot of time for compact offerings where I don't feel like I'm racing against time to get everything done before the next reset. Like its iconic predecessor before it, Titan Quest 2 is the latest to fill this role in style, and you might want to jump on the train now, because the price is about to go up. 13. Imagine how awkward it would be to end up trapped in a lift with Starship Troopers: Extermination and Helldivers 2, what with the latter taking the themes and ideas behind the former's licence and implementing them in a way that massively stole Extermination's thunder. Sure, Helldivers 2 deserves its success, but Extermination's developer, Offworld, must be a little green watching Arrowhead's bug-blasting, fascist lampooning sci-fi action game gallivant off with all of the money... 14. Still hoping to right the wrongs of your home town? Think you can solve its traffic woes with another road placed instantanously by your god hand? This weekend might be the best time to prove it. Virtually, at least. Cities Skylines 2 is free to play until November 10, giving you the opportunity to try the initially ill-received sequel to one of the best city-building games of all time without watching the clock to stick within the two-hour Steam refund window. 16. JRPGs have a deep connection to the world of tabletop gaming. After all, grandfathers of the genre such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest took much inspiration from a certain dungeon-crawling phenomenon. 18. The Hecret Bunker of Spaceport is now open in ARC Raiders, and you can take the risk to travel to the location in hopes of getting amazing rewards. The Hidden Bunker has been available on the Spaceport map for a long time, but it has remained locked until now. As announced earlier by Embark, the Bunker is one of the three map conditions active during the first weekend. This guide will help you not only find the bunker, but also open it for all the goodies inside. Table of contentsSpaceport Hidden Bunker location in ARC RaidersHow to open the Spaceport Hidden bunker in ARC RaidersSpaceport Hidden Bunker location in ARC Raiders The Hidden Bunker can be found in the southwestern part of the Spaceport map. If you open the map in-game, the spot might seem like a barren land. However, it's anything but that in reality, as you'll find the entrance to the bunker (the actual bunker is located underground). Hidden Bunker location on Spaceport. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid Areas like the bunker typically open with secret keys that spawn in different locations. To open the bunker, however, you'll need to find four antennas that are spread all around the map. Finding the antennas is really simple since they're marked on the map. How to open the Spaceport Hidden bunker in ARC Raiders The Hidden Bunker can be opened after you have activated all four antennas on the map. However, the bunker works differently from other locked areas. Once you (or someone else) activate the antennas, there will be a public announcement informing everyone (in your lobby) that the bunker is open. Bunker entrance in ARC Raiders. Screenshot by Destructoid While the announcement will state that the bunker is open, its location will be secret. That's where the map location image I have added above will help you. The location of the bunker remains the same, so you can rely on it for all raids. Once you're inside the bunker, download the data available on the terminals. The download has to be started at the same time to solve the puzzle, and you'll have to stay close to the terminal to complete the process. The research terminal at the Hidden Bunker. You can also access the hidden bunker only if it's available on map rotation when starting a fresh raid. 19. Nowadays, our list of the best Warhammer games feels rather full, whether you're more a fan of the classic style or the 40k era. From stalwarts like Vermintide 2 and Dawn of War to behemoths such as Space Marine 2 and Total War Warhammer 3, there's something to cater to everyone. But what about a proper Warhammer MMO? 22. The director of the next Mass Effect game has reassured fans that the next game in the series is still in development, despite few updates, and EA’s impending ***** to private investors, including Saudi Arabia’s PIF. Little has been seen of the next Mass Effect since developer BioWare released a teaser two years ago. Since then, EA has downsized BioWare’s development team, though it claimed cuts were related to those who had shipped Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Concern has grown around the project recently due to EA’s impending move to go private, which will see the company saddled with $20 billion in debt. Some industry analysts have suggested this will force the company to make cuts and focus on its most profitable franchises, which would potentially spell trouble for BioWare and Mass Effect.
