  1. In a case that will bring back anyone's memory of their beloved Minecraft **** getting too close to a Creeper or vanishing down a ravine, one player has potentially saved the lives of a million blocky broncos by discovering that the new lava-proof horse armor in the sandbox game may not be as immune to the red stuff as Mojang claims. 2. Nightreign might be the hot topic now, but there are still plenty of reasons to return to Elden Ring proper, especially when the best Elden Ring mods are involved. One of the finest among them is Elden Ring Reforged, which sits behind only Seamless Co-Op, the item randomizer, and The Convergence when it comes to the most-downloaded gameplay overhauls. A more faithful twist that makes tens of thousands of changes to one of the best RPGs on PC in pursuit of "deep engagement with the world," it's just been given its biggest upgrade yet, complete with fully functional online play. 3. As a squishy support main, I'm scared of top laners. K'Sante. Jax. Ornn. As soon as I see one of them in my games, I die a little inside (and on the Rift). But perhaps my least favorite champion to play into is Aatrox, the one top laner who simply endures. Never truly out of the MOBA's meta because of his raw kill potential, the Darkin Blade haunts my every waking moment, threatening to crush my Janna, Senna, and personal resolve. So imagine my face when I saw the new League of Legends champion, Zaahen. Blending Aatrox's chase-down melee combat with Xin Zhao's stacking damage, he's already pretty scary, and then you realize that his passive includes a revive and you want to uninstall the game. 4. If you want a hardcore shooter that'll make your heart pound out of your chest (and your fists pound through your desk, most likely) Escape From Tarkov is absolutely one of the best FPS games for you. However, despite over nine years in early access and huge popularity, it's an odd outlier in that it never came to Steam. It's not totally alone - Riot's biggest multiplayer games, for example, are also absent from Valve's platform. But Tarkov will finally make the jump when its 1.0 version arrives later this month. While it's a huge opportunity to attract new players, it also carries the risk of public review bombing - EFT is no stranger to criticism, and another major false step could see its Steam page polluted with an ugly user rating. However, Battlestate Games' enigmatic COO and game director Nikita Buyanov couldn't be less worried. Speaking to PCGamesN, he says he isn't concerned by "a small percentage of people that hate us." 5. The Power Out quest is a relatively simple one in ARC Raiders, but it can still turn out to be confusing if you don't know what to do. You can begin the quest after obtaining it from Celeste. The quest requires you to lead an inquest into a missing personnel and enable the power switch at the desired location. This guide will help you complete all the steps without any hassle. Interact with the items (a container) to take a cell from within, and return to the electrical box. Stand close to it, and you'll be able to interact with the box with the cell and place it inside. Turn on the power to complete the final part of the quest, and you can then speak with Celeste when you're back in Speranza. Extraction isn't key with this quest, and the nearest elevator will be quite far. The Electrical Substation isn't an excellent loot area, but you can find essential items like Batteries. 6. Lost in Transmission in ARC Raiders is one of Shani's late-game quests that requires you to travel to the Control Tower on the Spaceport map. Go in through the main entrance, and the first room in front of you will require the key. Use the key to gain access to a zipline that takes you all the way to the top. 16. The Patrol Car key can be a source of amazing loot for you in ARC Raiders if you manage to find this rare item in the first place. Once you find the key, it will allow you to access a location that otherwise stays locked. Unlocking the location will allow you to add some valuable loot to your in-game inventory. Let's look at where you can find the key that unlocks the Patrol Car, and where to use it once you find it. Table of contentsHow to get the Patrol Car key in ARC RaidersWhere to use the Patrol Car Key in ARC RaidersHow to get the Patrol Car key in ARC Raiders Like all keys/access cards, the Patrol Car key spawns in the residential areas at random. However, two areas appear to have a greater chance of success. One of those two locations is the Ruby Residence buildings on the western side of Dam Battlegrounds. Ruby Residence in ARC Raiders. Screenshot by Destructoid This location has plenty of buildings and containers to loot. If you're lucky, you could end up finding the Patrol Car key at the location. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Another great location is the Research and Administration building in the middle of the Dam Battlegrounds. Similar to Ruby Residence, you'll find plenty of containers on every floor. Look carefully through all of them to potentially find a key (and specifically one that allows you to access the Patrol Car key). Research and Administration building in ARC Raiders. Screenshot by Destructoid You can also get the Patrol Car key by completing the Armored Transport quest. This is a guaranteed reward, but it works only once. Where to use the Patrol Car Key in ARC Raiders To use the Patrol Car Key, you'll need to head over to Headhouse. The Headhouse is located in the Blue Gate region, near the Warehouse complex. First, you'll have to reach the location I have marked on the screenshot below. To reach the Patrol Car, we will have to go below the surface. Headhouse location in ARC Raiders. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid Take the stairs and go down a few levels. You'll come across a zipline. Take the zipline all the way down, and there will be a highway with plenty of vehicles. The Patrol Car can be anywhere in this location, and it's random for every raid. Look around until you find the Patrol Car, and then use the key from your inventory to access the loot. A note of caution: the area surrounding the Patrol Car is heavily infested by ARC enemies. Be extremely careful before and after looting the car using your key. 18. GSC Game World, owners of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, have filed a copyright infringement claim against the indie co-op title MISERY. The former argues MISERY infringes on its IP, citing player reviews and comparisons as proof, but MISERY's creators are having none of it. In a Steam community posed shared today, Nov. 8, MISERY's developers said GSC Game World, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s owner, has "attacked MISERY with a DMCA strike," claiming copyright infringement. "In their claim, they state that MISERY infringes on their IP and that players' reviews mention S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which means it hurts their interests," the devs stated. Furthermore, they completely dismissed all claims made by GSC Game World, stating they would "fight back" against the claim and do everything possible to have the game reinstated. On that subject, MISERY was removed from Steam following the claim, and cannot be purchased on that store at the time of writing. MISERY deals with many of the same subjects as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but is very much its own thing. Image via Platypus Entertainment The developers believe this is "100 percent a misunderstanding," as MISERY "is a completely different concept, happening in the fictional Republic of Zaslavie." "It has nothing to do with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, Chernobyl, etc. MISERY uses no characters, plot, storyline, assets, monsters, music, code, etc., from their games," they added, saying that GSC does not own copyright on "depressive Soviet-era buildings, playing guitar, vodka, radiation, or abandoned locations, or even the ****." What's more, the devs said S.T.A.L.K.E.R. itself is filled with various inspirations that it does not own the copyright to, including Andrei Tarkovsky's film, which is literally called STALKER, where hunters go to explore a mysterious "Zone." The movie itself was inspired by the Roadside Picnic novel, which contains many of the concepts that would later find their way into S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the game. The franchise thus is built on verbatim copies, or derivatives, of existing works and ideas, which is fine, as all art has to be inspired by something. But MISERY's devs believe issuing copyright claims on inspirations is "just wrong." The creators remain hopeful that all will be well soon, with MISERY back on the storefront, with updates rolling out. 23. While there is a notable enough sentiment that old games are worse because they are old, so should therefore be either let to rot or to be remade so that they are "better," I think this argument goes out the window when you look at something like Final Fantasy 11.
