  1. Welcome to another week of hot deals to keep you warm, indoors, and still rich enough for pizza. Things to note for today include Amazon getting competitive with the preorder price of *********'s Creed Shadows. I'm also all about hooking up you PC folk with free (with Prime) versions of Dragon Age: Inquisition and The Forgotten City, two titles worthy of any respectable pile o' shame. In retro news, I'm celebrating the 14th birthday of ModNation Racers, ******* Front Games' under-loved kart racer classic. I still have very fond memories of sampling the custom tracks built in it by Mr Luke Reilly, as we were both working on the Official PlayStation Magazine at the time. Being the mild ****** that he is, Reilly produced a 1:1 "Baff-erst" with all the eerie meticulousness of Richard Dreyfuss carving a perfect mashed potatoes mountain in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Oh, how we smashed that track in 4P split-screen. This Day in Gaming Aussie birthdays for notable games. - ModNation Racers (PS3) 2010. Ebay - WarioWare D.I.Y. (DS) 2010. 3. The choice to help Astarion become the Vampire Ascendent in Baldurs Gate 3 is a controversial one that divides fans of the vampire companion. Once ascending, Astarions character becomes more sinister and controlling than he was before the ritual, and the pre-programmed facial expressions in-game make that clear. Players can continue to romance him after hes ascended, though Tavs facial expressions will unveil the sudden shift in their power dynamic. View the full article
  4. As the direct sequel to Hades, Hades 2 has added numerous new features and abilities aligning with Melinoe's upbringing as a witch under the goddess Hecate, and no witch is complete without her animal familiar. As you progress through the game, Melinoe will gain the ability to befriend the various animals that inhabit the Crossroads as well as the areas she clears on both the surface and Underworld paths. 5. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s next Tera Raid event focuses on two more version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon, but players are getting tired of this trend and demand more exciting raids. 9. In Animal Well, it is possible to travel fast, but players will find it a slightly more obscure method than in traditional games. Players cannot fast travel by moving from checkpoint to checkpoint, such as in games like ***** Cells, but there are ways to fast travel once you have unlocked a certain number of hidden items. This will make it easier to move around the map and make the latter half of the game a little less tedious. View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  10. It's no surprise that Overwatch 2 stands out as one of the more controversial releases of the past few years, but despite the rocky course of the game's development thus far, it's currently boasting a greater average player count than ever before on Steam. This Steam version of the game was first made available in August of last year, almost a full year following Overwatch 2's initial release, and offers an attractive alternative platform to play the game on if players aren't willing to add Blizzard's Battle.net to their likely already long lists of game launchers and clients. 11. The world of Fallout 4 is a vast post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with horrors and danger. 12. Starfield has certainly received its fair share of criticism, and Bethesda titles are always put under intense scrutiny despite their popularity, but the studio has a knack for including impressive details that are easily lost within the games' vast worlds. None are more vast than Starfield either, with over 1,000 explorable planets and moons littering its expansive game world. Despite so much getting lost in Starfield's ambitious breadth, there is still one detail which follows through on an off-hand comment made toward the beginning of the game, displaying Bethesda's dedication in making the Settled Systems feel contiguous. 13. A Red ***** Redemption gamer is wondering just how much Jack Marston got to experience in the illustrious 20th Century. Unfortunately for Jack, he often gets in trouble, through no fault of his own. View the full article
  14. The obvious choice for most players picking up Stardew Valley is to side against the evil JojaMart and shop local, picking up their seeds from Pierres General Store. The local shop is closer to the farm, offers bag upgrades and is also closed on Wednesdays. This is probably the second most inconvenient schedule in the game (behind Marnies inconsistent and unpredictable hours at her shop), but it seems there is finally an answer as to why Pierres shop takes a mid-week break. 21. The longtime actor for Goku, Sean Schemmel, reveals that he did over 60 hours of voice acting work for Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft's upcoming release of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. While Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero contains a number of fan favorite and obscure picks in its roster, it wouldn't be a Dragon Ball game if it didn't feature the face of its franchise, Son Goku. The hero of the long-running franchise was one of the first characters confirmed for Sparking Zero, and several of his forms will be represented in the game, separated by sagas. 25. FPS and rhythm games go well together. We've seen this in the past with games like Metal: Hellsinger, which amps up the sense of tension and overall drama of its infernal adventure with a metal soundtrack, and Hi Fi Rush, a bouncy, playable Saturday morning cartoon. We've also seen the combination function well in BPM: Bullets Per Minute and, in the PC VR space, with ******* Whip. Fortunately, studios are still exploring the potential of this potent genre mash up, most recently with the launch of Robobeat, a roguelike spin on the concept that's drawing in positive reviews on Steam.
