  1. Sykkuno, an ********* content creator who spent two years streaming on YouTube, has moved back to Twitch. During his May 19 stream, he explained why he won’t go back to YouTube. When asked about his transition to Twitch, Sykkuno revealed he’ll be “sticking around” on the platform, as first reported by Sportskeeda. The streamer confirmed he didn’t feel much of a change in terms of viewership, but the Twitch community, as well as emotes and raids from friends, are a good enough of reason to stay loyal to the streaming platform. 2. What are all of the XDefiant maps? Maps are a vitally important part of any shooter. Sure, every match is different anyway: you can take in different weapons, your foes are completely new, different modes change the game entirely, but there's something about a new environment each time you drop in. Arriving with the XDefiant release date, there is already a large pool of XDefiant maps, with 14 arriving on day one. From there, three new maps are to be added every season, so there's going to be some refreshing variety when it comes to your surroundings in the FPS game. The variety doesn't end there, with five XDefiant factions to play as, 24 launch day weapons to wield, and 44 attachments with which to fit them. Again, there's more to come from each of those areas in a future season. Read the rest of the story... RELATED LINKS: All XDefiant factions, abilities, and traits When is XDefiant coming out? 3. Image: Bandai Namco With only a month until release day, there’s a new story trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, and the Elden Ring lore hounds have their work cut out for them. FromSoftware has been slowly teasing Shadow of the Erdtree and its story beats ever since the gameplay trailer was released back in February. All we knew then was the DLC would take place in the Land of Shadow and feature a bunch of new horrors straight from the slightly warped imagination of game director Hidetaka Miyazaki. This new Land of Shadow was connected somehow to Miquella — the dude in the egg with the withered arm. The trailer mentions him prominently, giving the impression we’ll learn more about him, his connection to the Land of Shadow, and what events led him to abandon... 7. Elden Ring is back as FromSoftware debuts a stunning new trailer that shines the spotlight on Shadow of the Erdtree's story, giving players a taste of what to expect. The footage show is, in keeping with the genre's trappings, fairly cryptic but those versed in the game's deep lore will undoubtedly recognize some familiar faces as The Tarnished is sent to complete yet another dangerous quest in the Land of Shadow. Of course, the trailer also includes plenty of monstrous enemies and terrifying boss encounters to keep the community speculating. View the full article

  9. As promised, FromSoftware has released a fresh look at Shadow of the Erdtree, the massive expansion coming to Elden Ring in just a few weeks. This new story trailer is full of new footage, though most of it is CG. The trailer is fairly beefy, clocking in at about three minutes. There’s a demo releasing on May 22, so very soon, you’ll be able to explore Enotria’s vibrant world and experiment with its genre-bending mask mechanic. 17. Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead has indicated it will slow down the release of patches in order to take more time to get them right. The explosive PlayStation 5 and PC co-op shooter has set PlayStation sales records, and since launch Arrowhead has fed the live service ****** with regularly released patches and Premium Warbonds to keep players interested. But the game’s community has called on the developer to slow down when it comes to significant balance changes as well as Warbond releases, feeling Arrowhead has sometimes gone too far with nerfs and ******* to include meta-affecting weapons and gear in the Warbonds. Indeed earlier this month, in response to a player who said "Helldivers has just become un-fun for me" regarding balancing changes, Helldivers 2 director Johan Pilestedt commented: "Hey, yeah I think we've gone too far in some areas. Will talk to the team about the approach to balance. It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed." Today, March 21, amid the expectation Helldivers 2 would get yet another significant balance patch, Arrowhead community manager Twinbeard took to the game’s Discord to let the community know about plans to calm things down a bit. “We want to take some more time for this one and potentially between future patches since we feel cadence has probably been a bit too high to be able to maintain the quality standard we want and you deserve,” Twinbeard said. “Patching a lot risks can easily disrupt work flow and takes more resources than you might think; it needs planning, implementing, monitoring, possible tweaking in hotfixes etc. For this one we prefer to stretch it out a little, hopefully with a good result.” "For this one we prefer to stretch it out a little, hopefully with a good result. Then, responding to a user who asked if big balance patches would be released ***-weekly or monthly from now on, Twinbeard replied: “Nothing that detailed is decided. I'd say it's sth we have to try out and get a feel for. ATM we feel a slightly lower cadence overall will benefit both us, you and the game.” Fans have reacted positively to the news and called on Arrowhead to take all the time it needs to get things right. Meanwhile, the Helldivers 2 community is currently wondering how it can get more people fighting against the Automatons instead of the Terminids with progress in the Galactic War at stake. Arrowhead is emerging from a turbulent ******* in which it butted heads with publisher Sony over a requirement to link Steam accounts to a PlayStation Network account. 21. What are the best Hellblade 2 settings for PC? With a capped frame rate on consoles, it looked as though Hellblade 2 might also be challenging to run on PC. 25. Image: Xbox Traversing the nightmare realms of the human mind has always been central to horror. The stories we tell ourselves about what’s moving in the darkness, the creation of monsters out of unknown sounds — from this emerges our fascination with *******. In Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, players navigate a cold, dark ninth-century Iceland in the often wet shoes of the Pictish warrior Senua on her second adventure in the third-person action-horror franchise.
