The virtual world of Warhammer is in a bit of a weird way right now. With Darktide's reputation never fully recovering from its rocky launch, Rogue Trader being solid if unspectacular, and Realms of Ruin struggling both commercially and critically, Games Workshop's recent virtual endeavors - perhaps with the exception of Boltgun - haven't always lived up to expectations. While Hades 2 is a direct sequel to the original game, it's introduced a lot of new mechanics that aren't explained super well in the Early Access state of the game; perhaps the most confusing new mechanic to learn is the Elemental Essences that come with each boon. These essences didn't exist in the original game, and as of now are only briefly explained upon being unlocked in the midgame of the sequel. Notorious Dota 2 pub hero Tinker has had its win rate nosedive after Patch 7.36 on May 23 owing to drastic changes to the hero’s abilities, which saw a key component of Tinker’s playstyle wiped out overnight. Bungie has claimed another win against cheat providers in court, with a jury siding with the Destiny 2 developer today against AimJunkies and Phoenix Digital for copyright violations. The court also rejected AimJunkies’ counter-claim that Bungie illegally accessed computers, ordering key figures to pay damages amounting to over $60,000 USD. The ruling, first reported by Game File’s Stephen Totilo, saw a jury side with a developer against cheat makers in the landmark case that was filed well over three years ago. Phoenix Digital, owner of AimJunkies, has been ordered on May 24 to pay $63,210 in damages. It seems like a low number considering Bungie had previously won over four million dollars against the same company, but this verdict was exclusively aimed at revenue AimJunkies generated from the ***** of cheats. After two years of direct investigations, the FBI has finally brought charges against two men for forging and selling falsified graded trading cards, specifically Pokémon TCG products, to unsuspecting buyers. According to the court overview, Anthony Curcio and Iosif Bondarchuk sold over $2 million USD worth of slabbed Pokémon and sports cards with falsified grades from the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA). This went on from 2022 to 2024, at minimum, and featured the duo scamming buyers around the ******* States by offering graded cards they altered to reflect greater quality than their actual value at in-person venues and online marketplaces. Chickens have been a core part of the Counter-Strike experience since the days of 1.6, though players never had a real way of interacting with them apart from murdering them on the spot. However, new leaked animations imply we might soon be able to pick up and inspect chickens. The animations were shared by data miners on X (formerly Twitter) on May 24. They include three entirely new animations apparently meant to be seen from the first-person perspective, and given how they move, it is as if the chicken is being inspected by an invisible pair of hands.
